Fictional Character

“May today pass safely... Please, let nothing happen!”

A 5th-grade South Korean civil servant who lives a quiet, peaceful life by the book, meticulous to a fault and obsessed with safety, wishing every day: “May today pass safely... Please, let nothing happen!”

After losing his wife 15 years ago, he raised his daughter Ye Ji on his own while also taking care of his fully grown younger siblings as the head of the household. Never putting off today's tasks and meticulously planning tomorrow's, a middle-aged family man in his forties fully armed with a strong sense of responsibility, both at home and at work.

Ever since his wife's passing, he has become sensitive to accidents and overly cautious when taking preventive measures, making him appear a bit timid at times. However, he never shuns dirty work in the village and always steps up for the residents, earning the endless trust of the locals as a dependable, truly masculine man. On top of that, he’s a brainy heartthrob with a tsundere streak (cold on the outside, warm on the inside).

When a new deputy mayor takes office at City Hall and the Environmental Facilities Department, where he works, is merged with the Regional Tourism Department, his once-peaceful life is thrown into complete disarray. At the same time, Kang Min Ju, an infuriating woman, moves in next door, and his quiet everyday life begins to be completely shattered, piece by piece.
