Some people cry over a drama. Others drop it after 2 episodes.
Same show, totally different reactions 😅
I wrote a fun blog post breaking down 6 types of drama watchers — from Emotional Reactors to Casual Vibe-Chasers — and yes, there’s a theme park metaphor 🎠

I am 1. The Emotional Reactor (aka Emotional Empath)

I am 1. The Emotional Reactor (aka Emotional Empath) who likes to see justice done, I do become upset when the evil one gets away with it and no punishment. I do not like my heroes dying at the end, but love it when the baddies get a sword through their chest or their head removed from their neck. Placing the head on a pike for the public to see, is not my style - that’s just gross!
Also I am in the Nostalgic group as well, I recognise myself I from your description. But, the ML must be handsome with a flowing mane of hair, broad shouldered and tall. That’s important. I have watched so many wonderful dramas I have a hard time remembering the titles sometimes. But I never forget the wonderful, happy hours I have spent in front of the television, my eyes glued to the screen as yet another handsome young man leaps through the air, hair flying, sword in hand as he goes into combat with the enemy.
Story line is important and also the charisma of the lead actors/actresses. Chemistry between both is important and should be felt by the viewer from the beginning. This causes shortness of breath, stopped breathing, on the edge of your seat moments. I love it.
There are several very excellent male actors who keep me entertained and fill my days. Of course, the female actresses add much to the story as well, I am thinking “Perfect Match” ~ Mrs. Li who moved her family from Luoyang to Bianjing to find husbands for her five daughters - I loved it.
