Quite a few of the outfits I chose would land the actors in prison or require bribery, but I was having too much fun so I went overboard with the sluttiness... :( I couldn't help myself even though I was the one who proposed trying to get them past censorship.

You always create rules and then break them. It keeps me on my toes and it's on-brand 😌 I honestly think pretty much all of your selections would have everyone in fined and possibly in jail 😂 So let's just take this as one of those "what if it aired in Taiwan or Hong Kong" kinda scenarios, ahahaha

So, I only watched about two episodes of the drama, so I did my best to recall them while making the ML's board. I barely remember the other characters, so I took fashion cues from you while leaning into, well, slutty. And what I could possibly get away with. I'm pleasantly surprised at some of the "straddling the censorship line" outfits I found that still show something. The makeup's just for fun since I know none of it would pass censorship.

Idk if you ever even MET ML's in-law then and did you even meet FL's secretary??? Only two eps but being this locked-in with the drama is levels of unhinged obsession I've only seen on myself 😭 I am Drew and you are Danny and we are NOT the same person.

Also you're so cute for thinking any of these would pass censorship 💖 Absolutely no, but very cute of you to think so 💖💖 I ironically think the make-up actually has a higher chance of passing censorship than the outfits. It's very soft and subtle and kinda feels like a "no make-up makeup look" (is my make-up ignorance showing? Lol) and I feel like MLs in historicals and ESPECIALLY xianxias wear way more 👀 I know contemps have different requirements usually, but... I feel like this wouldn't even require bribery

And also let me just say that I am LITERALLY obsessed with all of your styling choices!!! Genuinely you have such an incredible eye for aesthetics, combinations, clothes, and make-up, you missed your calling to style like Xlov or some similar celeb. These choices are so aesthetic to me, 1000/10, devoured, ate and left no crumbs.

SOOOOOOOOOOOo elegant and stylish, with a lil cheekiness to attract those billionaire ladies~ I'm also obsessed with that white turtleneck sweater. Actually INSANE find! I also love the top-right pale pink blouse and the back cut-out suit!!

I'm sorrryy giiirl, but none of these are passing censorship!!! How you managed to yassified this overworked househusband is insane to me and I'm obsessed!!! You absolutely nailed the comfy x trendy, but more trendy than comfy. This is very much a husband that has a loving and supportive wife even if they're both a lil overworked 😩 I adore it and would LOVE a ML like this. Like PLEASE WHEN ALREADY???!!!

I am obsessed with all of these outfit choices, but I think my favs are the collar-bone showing blue turtleneck (something about it is just SO beautiful plus it combines my two favorite things: collarbones and turtlenecks!), the backless sweater (these images haunt my pinterest), and also the open-sides sweater- Such great finds!!

This is freaking ADORABLE!!!!!! Your selection for ML is immaculate!!! I love all the pieces you chose and could 100% see him in them once he gets a bit more comfortable in the matriarchy! I especially love the purple mesh top (🙈), the see-through star sweater, the bright neon blue and yellow crop-top, those patched pants (so cool!!) and the the pink top striped top...!

Genuinely cannot believe how incredible this is!!!!! I mean the space-y vibes, the unique pieces, the color-combos, the make-up!!! You DEVOURED this one!!! No wonder you wanna share outfits! 😂 I especially loved the heart cut-out top, the jean shorts skirt (SO COOL???!!!), the funky mesh pants and the brown sci-fi dune-esque top! And the make-up is also so beautiful!! This is the only make-up look I could see being a bit more of a struggle to get past censorship 😩

Also who is that diva in the blue sweater with the jewelry underneath?

It kinda feels a bit like you took a reversed "women written by men" approach to this selection in the sense that all of these men, regardless of what hell they're going through are gonna be serving 'tude and beauty, and you know what? I love it. So you might not get the censorship stamp of approval, but you sure as hell got mine!

• Love in Disguise (Oct 19) - Not feeling very optimistic about this one tbh, but FL passing for a somewhat convincing man and Yim Si Wan are keeping me a lil open-minded, like, maybe we'll get smth...

and

• Portraits of Delusion (Oct ??) - I'm more optimistic about this, mostly because vampire FL 😩 and the Hotel del Luna vibes 😩 and I also just like the setting

I hate that Kdramas post literally nothing about dramas until the week before it airs 😭 GIVE ME AT LEAST A TRAILER, FFS!!

Hoping we get at least a couple of RR cdramas come Sep-Oct 😔

Anyway, I just wanted to say that Coming to Myself probably isn’t going to be coming out anytime soon 🫠 the FL got into a fresh controversy, so the government most likely isn’t going to allow any project with her in it to air. I absolutely love both Jing Tian and Zhang Xincheng, so this is devastating. I’ve been waiting so long 😭

Yes and yes! I have no faith in the live action adaptation, especially not since it's coming from netflix... I feel like they'll scrape off absolutely ALL the nuance, intricacies, complexities, weight, social commentary, and queerness in the adaptation. Not to mention I highly doubt they'll keep the tall beefy woman/short(er) skinny man thing going on and also keeping Owen largely a damsel in distress. We know society hates men like that... Like I really hope they commit, but my expectations are chilling in a hot tub with satan atm

Girlie DEFINITELY has a type... but I also struggle to figure her out. On one hand she tends to go for mostly RR/RR-leaning titles, but at the same time...... most are ass 💀She even starred as the FL in The Kingdom of Women which I unfortunately watched and was one of those "promises a matriarchy but is so disgustingly misogynistic about it that you wanna commit murder". But she does do a lot of RR-roles, I just can't shake the feeling that she kinda does them in a trad-way? Idk, it's weird- she doesn't feel like one of us like other actresses or actors do, but I could be misreading them. Ig it doesn't help that she looks more uncanny now (overly thin imo) and it's a bit unsettling (compared to say, how she looked in TKoW).

Yeah...ever since they managed to fumble Ms. Incognito, I'm wary of K-dramas with bodyguard FLs which is tragic because it's one of my favorite RR dynamics. I'm always looking for it.

Stories with bodyguard FLs always put me on alert because 9/10 times they're dogwater 😭😭 I hate it when reversed tropes are tradified and not left to blossom, like yes, give me a pizza with nothing! <3

What could've been a fun, but solid RR ended up barely being egal. I don't know how Ms. Katherine Center accomplished that. Maybe I should've judged the book by its cartoon cover, but I've read a good RR-leaning book with a cartoon cover, so idk.

Yikes, man, YIKES- but I'm not surprised in the slightest. I've also been disappointed asf and kept getting the ick from even the synopsis of stories with a bodyguard FL.

I feel like dramas that don't center the bodyguard thing execute it the best, examples: Parallel World, Love in Between, The Ingenious One, etc.

I would never say this anywhere else on this site but here, but I don't like Kim Seon Ho as an actor. His projects are usually auto-skips for me, and Suzy is very hit or miss.

I had no idea man was popular enough for this to be a hot take!! 👀👀 I watched KSH in a movie and really enjoyed it and his performance and I've never seen Suzy in anything-

Tame Alluring Night is not that far off, ahah, I keep forgetting you didn't and wouldn't watch Hotel del Luna so you have no context, but the vibes ARE somewhat similar, lol.
