Yes, it can be messed up. It depens on how they are going to do the push and pulls. 

I feel it can really provide good chemistry, I hope at most the actors will be good kissers . We don't know the cast members yet.


I watched "Red Swan" in which every feeling was kept : ML and FL being both Tsudere. 

But I ended up liking it very much : Female Lead (Strong headed CEO )vs Male Lead ( Bodyguard former special forces).

They were both Strong Leads,  but it gave me RR vibe at times. Because of the interactions between FL and ML.

They were in a star-cross lover relationship. But I was anxious on my seat, waiting for something to happen so bad. LOLOL

This sounds super promising, but the images and clips on yt aren't giving me a lot of hope T_T Fingers crossed that the drama is actually as RR as the synopsis makes it out to be. Male Cinderella sounds like it's rlly gonna give. I love it when men are mistreated and need to be saved by their lady knight in shining armor!

There is this show now airing, which fits with that description . The leads have  : Protector FL x Protected ML relationship.  This is my fav airing mini show at the moment. I jump on every episode.

ML is a famous tyran Emperor seconded by a Prince Regent since childhood. So FL was trained from a young age to assassinate him. On the first episode FL arrives in the Palace to murder the Emperor, but she unexpectedly discovers that The Emperor is in reality a weak puppet Emperor. What will she do?

I don't want to spoil any of this show. But, what I like also is that,  for some reasons ML and FL have concensual sex. But they don't shy away from it or make it a psychological issue  or a status issue like a lot of drama do. They wanted it, they did it and that's ok. This is very refreshing. 

 FL was a spy/assassin cultivated to murder the Emperor, but other the course of the drama she becomes his bodyguard..... LOLOL delightful.

If ever you watch it, you might like it. Enjoy.

In my usual bi-yearly search for any untagged matriarchy media, I stumbled upon this drama that aired a few days ago. Allegedly? I couldn't find much about it pretty much anywhere, not even a douban or weibo page. There were some twitter links, but I don't have an account, so I couldn't see what was up xD

Really excited for my yearly matriarchy drama, though! That synopsis sounds scrumptious! Hope it sticks to the role reversal and doesn't pull a The Kingdom of Women on me... now to wait for subs

I like that film makers have more freedom in minidramas. Studios also use minidramas to test directors for long length dramas. This drama is great in cinematography and story telling. I guess, the crew will have a nice opportunity to make longh length dramas soon.

Thanks. I stepped upon this drama not even reading the summary. So I didn't know it was that good to my taste. But, I like it now. The drama's last episode airs tomorrow or the day after. I have put it on pause on episode 20 to rewatch all of  it and have the final blow as well. To me it's really worth it, since the directing is good and the visuals are too. I hope you will like it. Enjoy.

The "Ms Incognito" just ended airing with today's episode. It was really RR. The FL was a real tsundere. She could cry only when she was alone or with selected kins. The Ml was a cute Male-wife, skilled in cooking. I liked the suspense but the romance was slight in this drama. I would have like a bit more to see real push and pulls but it was still a great mystery-romance drama ( which I dont often stumble upon). Thanks for the recommendation buddies. :)

Yeah... Dramas like these are rare... and then again, they almost always repeat the same kind of stories too. I'd love to watch a new story within the rare matriarchy trope... Btw, random info, I just saw the ML is 41, didn't look like it to me 😅..

Yes, those kind of tropes are very rare. I hope it is well executed and that we get a lot of cute and sweet moments with the leads. 

I didn't know the actor portraying ML was 41. Funny . He doesn't look his age at all. I am just happy we get to see a RR promising drama airing. I will make some popcorn LOL.
