mr. P, I will need to add those two dramas to my list. I actually have a love for body swap from stuff I watched as a kid, but my stand-in is the gold standard for BL body swap. Enough to win my love for the whole trope. But i actually liked Vice Versa in terms of the body swap part, I just thought the world-building was too complicated and took away from the story. I also didn’t rate it well but I still enjoyed Cupid’s Last Wish with EarthMix. It was pretty silly but I didn’t care. I really love EarthMix though.

don’t know if you’d called it a body swap or time travel, but I adored the straight kdrama 18 Again. It launched the career of popular Korean actor Lee Do Hyun. I’d recommend it to everyone except i watched it on daily motion or something, so not as easily available. It confirmed what I learned from my stand-in, though, which is that the right actor and script can make even a ridiculous story into a serious and moving drama.

still, I usually say I’ll watch any body swap, but Sutiny may test even my patience. I stopped after two episodes. The Promise of the Soul started off silly, but I’m actually really liking it. So another vote for body swap as long as it’s not too ridiculous and the chemistry is good. The cuties in that are top notch, so if you can make it past episode one it’s worth it.

 p43425:

I had mixed feelings about it. I started off enthusiastic, especially as a fresh scenario, but found myself getting bored with the later episodes. That being said, the cutie factor was pretty good (my picks: Weja, Seiji, Japan).

I actually enjoyed deep night although the quality was spotty. But the couples/threesome were all sweet together, and I loved the aerial scenes. Plus I liked the idea of lending more legitimacy to the industry, whether non-sex worker hosts really exist or not. I’ve actually watched it twice.

 p43425:

re "Sexual Lessons" and "Therapy": What's the best place to watch these (1) complete and uncut, (2) HD quality, and (3) not more than two or three bucks (i.e. I'm not paying USD 55 per month for Likey)? Decent English subtitles would be nice, but I can figure out other major European languages if necessary. If discretion needed, please DM me - although I think others might want to know, too. Have VPN, can travel.

Someone please find therapy somewhere other than Likey! I’d rather use that money for a VPN.

Mr. P, the Shipper is not on my list despite many recommendations because comments say someone important dies at the end. Is this true? Is it a sad ending? I excluded it for that reason.

please clarif.y. I don’t mind spoilers.

Actually dora, P-san, I found it but with Portuguese subs.

There are like 2 links in the comments section of the MDL page for this title.

One of which is this one: https://meowbls.com/series/terapia/

Thanks, Ken-san. I actually saw that link already but was reluctant to click because I wasn't sure if it's a dodgy website - but I gave it a try now (with full paranoia activated), and at least the video quality looks decent. The Portuguese will be a reminder of my Brazilian boyfriend from about 30 years ago.

Update after episode 1: Link works fine (Portuguese subs). It's pretty funny!

Yes, there was lots I liked about it, including the novelty of the escort life and especially the acrobatics. To be honest, the threesome  was a negative for me because I discovered at a young age that threesomes are nothing for me - but that's just me. Objectively speaking, it was also a new and interesting element in a BL.

Yes, "The Shipper" has a tragic aspect to its ending, but it's necessary to the integrity of the story. Unless you're an ardent fan of First Kanaphan and/or Ohm Pawat, I wouldn't call this series a "must watch".

I haven't yet tried "Promise of the Soul", but I plan to.

OK, I finished "Therapy" and "Sexual Lessons" (S1 and S2), links as above. (I don't like unofficial platforms, but needs must. As noted above, "Therapy" is with Portuguese subtitles.)

My verdict on all three mini-series is basically the same: As soft porn, definitely better than I was expecting (NC scenes don't usually do much for me), and measured against porn standards (usually meaning bad acting and laughably flimsy story), all three were pretty decent for low-budget shorts, with amusing story scenarios. "Therapy" is more of a BL in the love story sense. Thumbs up on all three!

@Art Girl: These are nothing for you. We must protect your virtue!
@RXinw: If you respond, don't post anything overly pornographic. I don't want to get you in trouble!

I also finished the final ep. 6 of "I Became the Main Role of a BL Drama S2". I started this series thinking, "Hmm, typical sequel, just milking the original series without adding much", but it got better as it went along, and the final two episodes ultimately won me over: Episode 5 was really funny, and episode 6 was a sweet and satisfying conclusion.

Whoa, are you perhaps in your 50s? Glad to see elders in the community be happy with their married lives and everything! (Do you mind if I call you an elder?)

Here in Romania, I've seen the opposite in many cases and I suspect it's because of the reality that being homosexual was in the bygone era of communism. Younger people are usually more laidback, even if homophobia is still considered a "staple of a true Romanian" or whatever here. Things are of course different in Germany.

As for the Portuguese, even if it's supposed to be similar to Romanian, both being Romance languages, I can't understand most of it. I will of course continue watching this mini-series, but obviously while grumbling as to why it's not subbed in Spanish instead haha

 YamaKen:

That's good to hear. This generational difference in attitude seems to be in most places.

Yeah, I can manage in French, Italian, Spanish and marginally Portuguese, but Romanian? Nuuu, even though spent six weeks there when I was in school (one of those Ceaușescu cultural exchange programmes). Romanian is really different.

 YamaKen:

I've been with my hubbie for 29 years, and I was with my first for seven years (not including the Brazilian boyfriend and a few others in between). Do the math ...

To make this nominally a BL post, here's a photo of Fluke Natouch being utterly adorable:

 p43425:
Do the math ..

Hmm, I am doing the math but my math isn't mathing much... matters not because I aim to be as happy as you someday, but of course with a wife instead hehe

 p43425:

It might be the case we're the ones understanding every other Romance language but the other way around is a bit more difficult. I've never thought about it this way, obviously as a native I think Romanian is pretty easy to learn and also quite similar to say Spanish and Italian. Less with Portuguese for some reason. I did study French in school so can't complain about it much.

Yes, indeed! I'm happy to see the community thriving everywhere and may we always have a good life, all of us. ^^

Despite my better judgement, I decided not to watch anything more for today. BL, GL or otherwise. I have a GL movie to watch, only half of it because I did separate movies in half recently, as I said before.

BUT I'm also going to watch the BL mini-series tomorrow and see what else is there. Every time I come across a screenshot of Revenged Love on the main public feeds I internally scream 'cause that series will be the end of me.

What I would like is to watch more of it and pronto. But first, a detour to GL land.

Is anyone active or lurking in the main feeds? If you don't know what I'm talking about, just go to the Feeds page (Home > Feeds) and there's a Join button in the right sidebar somewhere. You'll be able to join and see the contents of the main feed. You're welcome!

I watched this series years ago but I absolutely loved it and rated it 10/10 cuz I loved the whole soul-swapping concept, the comedy and the ost. Plus, First is such a cutie lol

It did make me cry quite a lot but I’d say u should totally give it a go cuz it’s a fairly fun series even though there’s not much romance

This is actually in my dropped list. I have seen one episode last year or so? Granted I was in a slump and by then kinda gave up on Thai media. Not inclined to complete it either. I have read some body swap fanfics at some point or another but for already established popular pairings. I'm afraid without a tragic backstory or angst, this wouldn't work for me. Comedy can go so far.

I am slowly getting back to Thai BL and GL, just need to wait a minute to finish all the other series I started. Not a priority. Though recently I did watch an extremely sad short movie starring Gun Atthaphan. It's called Fah Mee Tah: Yaraksa AIDS and its subject matter is very serious. It has something to do with prevention and treatment of HIV and how two different people deal with this pain.
Was only able to find it on a Russian website with Spanish subs, however there's a perfectly fine Youtube upload but with Vietnamese subs.

I will add it back to my ptw list, but with caveats.

First is really really good in it (not only cute, also acting). That's one strong argument in its favour.
