So i have trying to catch up on some of my dramas since my cwl is way too long. Somehow it’s not getting much shorter but here’s what i finished:

boys in love

adorable but kind of lost momentum for me in the third act, because not much crisis. I actually put it aside at this point and came back later. In the end though, I still enjoyed it. I have to say, though, Mick’s acting seemed inadequate to me, and I didn’t feel the chemistry between PodPapang.

i watched the bts feature called “graduation“ on IQIYI and it was very cute. ChokunAston were already my favorites but seeing them flirt bts was a bonus! Aston and those dimples are doing me in! I will still probably watch this again for comfort fluff. Also I will search out that short form show they did as well. But I would probably watch anything with ChokunAston. I look forward to seeing where these young actors go in the  future. I gave this an 8.

sweet tooth, good dentist

this was such a disappointment. I love Mark Pakin and he and Ohm Thipakorn  are so cute together, I really wanted more for both of them. Their acting was on point but the story and editing got worse as the show progressed. By the last few episodes it was a slog to finish. Poon was still great throughout and I actually liked his/the gl storyline. Jimmy of course is always great. I hope MarkOhm won’t get sidelined because this show wasn’t a success. I’d love to see them in something better. I gave this a 7.

season of love in shimane

i expected nothing from this except spice but it actually had a decent story. The first and last episodes, in particular, were basically tourism ads and not very good. But once P & Plai’s story got going it was more interesting. Plai’s character was an influencer and part of an imaginary ship so he an P weren’t supposed to show affection in public together. This raised some really important questions about how imaginary ships can be toxic or at least difficult for actors or influencers lives. often fans are really hurtful if they try to expose their real lives to the public. This is definitely not fair and even toxic. Some BL actors have left the industry for this reason, like Gulf. The show didn’t really explore this issue fully so that was a bit of a disappointment. Still, it added an interesting story element.

the spice was very spicy for sure, with lots of full nudity and even some speculation about real sex. All four leads were attractive and P & Plai especially were both beautiful and fun to watch. Their scenes also had a real sense of romance and intimacy that was quite beautiful. There are comments in the MDL page saying they are a real couple, which would make sense. It seemed like their acting had leveled way up since season 1.

their was one sex scene where they were promoting PlayStation underwear and they made some pretty cringe jokes. They were also promoting lipstick which at one point Plai put on during sex. This was hot. RX kindly posted a screenshot at the time, of course.

in the end I gave this a 7.5 but i still really enjoyed it, and not only for the spice but the romance as well.

i haven’t finished the ex-morning yet. I like it but don’t find myself rushing to watch it. I also need to finish bangkok boy but I’m kind of scared of the third act/ending so I’ve been putting it off.

@YamaKen, don’t dis  us “old people.” We have valuable experience to share! based on Mr. P’s timeline he’s older than me but I married my wife/spouse well past the age most people get married. We have been together for 14 years (married for 12) and are really happy together. We never fight and we tell each other all the time how much we appreciate each other. So don’t any of you young people lose hope. There is great love even after toxic and failed relationships. But my spouse is sometimes jealous of all my BL crushes and fantasies. Relationships take work, for sure.

Ah I wasn't trying to diss you, not at all. I can only hope to be as happy as you guys are at any age. As someone who lives with a severe mental illness, that is quite difficult to do, so when I see people in the community be happy, I know I might have a chance at happiness with or without a mi. Being together for 14 and 29 years takes work for sure. I don't think I'm ready for a committed relationship but maybe one day. Indeed, I happened to have an almost relationship that turned toxic recently, so you might think I dodged a bullet. It happens, sometimes. I'm not the best judge of character either, but in hindsight I should've known it wouldn't work out. Not sure how my future girlfriend will handle my crushes on fictional characters either, but we could make it work somehow. It's not that serious, I'm still at the stage where I could detach from my blorbos at any time and live a happy, offline life. /jk

Tomorrow I'll go right into Revenged Love, mark my words! I have to see all the snakes, all the fights, all the gossip and all the kisses!!

 p43425:

First is really really good in it (not only cute, also acting). That's one strong argument in its favour.

I do like him a lot so that will definitely raise this on my list. I like Ohm Pawat too but not as much.

 p43425:
Right on! Sixty is the new forty!

Mr. P, thanks for the recs for today. Those mini-series are really something. Every time I go into this club, I find something worthwhile. Wait, I see you've watched the most recent episode of 40 Made ni Shitai 10 no Koto! oh man, at the end of the last ep they were supposed to kiss apparently, but the director seems to have decided against it? there was no kiss. I read the manga chapters and that was a different story.

YamaKen

i was joking about “dissing” us.

Hey I’m younger than you! Don’t age me before my time! But you go Mr. P!

T_T Sorry, I am bad with jokes. I tend to take things quite literally sometimes. It has led to some misunderstandings so far in daily conversation haha

No worries! I don’t always get jokes either. Mr. P, Rx, and Art Girl are educating me in the art of teasing. lol. (I just mean they like to tease here so I am learning from them.)

 p43425:
@Art Girl: These are nothing for you. We must protect your virtue!

Thank you, thank you. No plans to watch, but I think I will start I Became the Main Role of a BL Drama S2 soon. I enjoyed S1

 YamaKen:
Is anyone active or lurking in the main feeds?

I sometimes do both, but mostly post to my feed page which is shared on the main feed. I don't scroll through very often. No time.  Winter season is slower so I might check it out on a snowy day.

Is there a reason you ask, or just a random question? 😁

Wait guys when did "The Red Envelope" come out? because earlier today I got a netflix video on tiktok about it and I lowkey want to watch it(yet i don't have netflix but i think kisskh has it)  and I already know the ending because i was find more videos about it on the search bar but still I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IN BETWEEN THE BEGINNING AND END.

Haha, funny thought when reading your post. I was sitting at an outdoor cafe yesterday and could hear everything two men were bitching  complaining discussing about their ex and divorce. I was mentally  congratulating myself on my singleness.

TBH  I totally admire long-time couples. I'm in awe. They know the secret for sure and are the lucky ones!

Aw, I'm in good company. I happen to like old men, as long as they don't spit in public. What can I say about RX except I love unique characters. 🤣

I always enjoy your posts, Dora! ❤️

 p43425:
@RXinw: If you respond, don't post anything overly pornographic. I don't want to get you in trouble!

I watched these about two days ago, and I decided not to talk about them here because I cannot delve into them here with the language I would like to use lol. I would have to be clinical in talking about them here considering how explicit they are.

I am also wondering if there are community guidelines here on MDL; I always just assumed that they exist here.

Just doing my duty as the CSO - Chief Smut Officer.

Me watching this amused with my twenties self. Well I am ten thousand years old if we are counting past lives 🤔

I was going to make a joke about "teasing" but let me behave myself.

 Indie Art Girl:
I happen to like old men,

You guys are making it difficult for me not to make the jokes 🤭

 Indie Art Girl:

I am amazing 😏

 BL4life:
Wait guys when did "The Red Envelope" come out?

I believe Netflix (at least for now) has it only in Thailand (and possibly elsewhere in SE Asia) - and unfortunately, Netflix doesn't like VPN.

I'm guessing that they'll do an international theatrical release, with Netflix to follow internationally later. I'm eager to see this remake because (1) I loved the original movie ("Marry My Dead Body") and (2) Billkin & PP Krit are brilliant, but I'm also patient, so I'll wait and see what happens.

 Indie Art Girl:
as long as they don't spit in public.

I don't spit (or drink or smoke or blabber incessantly), but I can be quite grouchy and often incommunicative.

So how am I still together with someone after 29 years?  At this point, it's a lot about stability, mutual trust ... and a lot of mutual forbearance, too.
