BL Challenge Day 9: Favourite new ship/couple of 2025 

I really adore Keng/Namping and Thomas/Kong, but I've been invested in them since "DMD Friendship the Reality" in early 2024. They may be new in 2025 to some of you others, but not to me.

So who should I go with? I'll limit my picks to official working CPs that are expected to continue with future BLs rather than fandom delusions or one-off pairings (which I presume is the case with most non-Thai duos - so for example, I loved Tian Xu Ning and Zi Yu, but I see them as two actors who worked together on a hugely successful project and are monetising it with some fan service rather than a CP which will continue).

Soooo ... hmm ... I'm thinking, thinging ... going through all the recent GMMTV changes, thinking about CPs beyond GMMTV and Domundi.

OK, I will go with Chogun & Ashton. I love these two charming cuties, both individually and together, and I remember that they were definitely new to me with "Boys In Love", so they definitely count for me as 2025.

I'm gonna just say Tian Xu Ning and Zi Yu even if we're not going to see them together in the same place anymore. I don't know anything of the new Thai pairings, so I can't say. :(

I have accepted that doing this challenge is not going to be possible for me ,  I have too much going on mentally so have been active less. honestly not doing well.

I started watching revamp , I put it off for a while due to the amount of negativity but I do really like Boun x Prem so I wanted to give it a go myself & see how I feel about it. I believe so far there is definitely room for improvement therefore I can see why many would be dissapointed after seeing their previous works , however despite this I'm still quite liking it so I think going to the extent of saying it's awful or a big fail is harsh as they're worse shows. I think it's a good enough watch to still be entertained & see it through till the end rather than dropping , if I felt I was getting no enjoyment or zero emotion towards it I would be more inclined to consider it being a mess. maybe many would still disagree saying that it's a failure but personally for me I think it's receiving too much hate & I think it's because people's expectation are too high , I mean if you're coming from something like Between Us you're going to have to be more lenient because I admit that it cannot even be compared to that because it's just not on that level.

The Love Never Sets ep9

i‘m really enjoying this show but why do there have to be evil parents? I might have reached my limit of evil parents this year. I’m worried about what will happen to Saint and Ice even though I believe the show will have a happy ending. I just don’t want to see Saint’s dad interfering anymore! And what about the evil professor? Have we forgotter about him. I want him to be taken down! But at least the second male couple got together! Yay! 

To My Shore

i‘m already worried about what‘s going to happen next and then i keep seeing spoilers from the novel online. I honestly don’t know what the second half of this show will be like. There aren’t enough BLs like this for me to know the pattern. But it’s been a great ride so far.

Thundercloud Rainstorm

i can’t get enough of this show! It’s so good. I didn’t expect it to go in this direction but I’m loving it. And Yoon Ji Sung is just so lovely.

Reloved

there have only been two episodes so far but with all the flashbacks to the past the show has been plenty engaging and spicy. I’m eagerly awaiting the next episode.

As I’ve said before, I often choose my current shows based on which have the most spoilers online. So there are other shows I want to start but these are dominating my feeds so I’m watching as soon as I’m able. Not that I’m sorry to be watching any of these. I just wish I didn’t still have 25 shows on my CW list!

My Secret of Seer

this show was awful! It barely made sense, the acting was bad, and the special effects were cringe-worthy. There were some cuties, especially Fluke Pusit, but still not worth it in my opinion. Bad supernatural/horror stories really annoy me though. If you think they’re fun or funny, go for it. I don’t really give shows lower than a 6 because to me anything lower I should have dropped. I gave this a 6.5 because there were some cute couple moments. Plus an awesome grandpa. But I don’t recommend this.

The Proper Way to Write Love

while this show had some flaws, it was cute and sweet. I really love stories of relationships that heal past hurts. Also the plants as metaphors for their relationship were nice. But i really like plants. I read the reviews on the page that gave this show high ratings, and I basically agreed with them. I gave it an 8.5.

For those who haven't yet watched the superb "Secrets Happened on the Litchi Island", or who want to do a re-watch, good news: The newly posted Gagaoolala release is a more convenient movie version - with normal (non-tiny) subtitles!!!

If I didn't just do a re-watch a few days ago, I would right now. Or maybe I will anyways. I love it!
