What is a series that you LOVE, but others have said that it's overrated or that it's bad? (Can be from any country)

Mine is HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count

I really loved Secret Crush on You.  Nuea was a green flag and very patient with Toh, who I still say is not a stalker, just a bit overzealous about his crush. I absolutely adored Toh's friend group and how supportive they were of one another. And let's talk about representation - we have MM, FF, MF couples and a trans character, fully supported by her friends.

What is a series that you LOVE, but others have said that it's overrated or that it's bad?

I wanted to say 

"1000 Years Old" It's so different and quirky, and not ashamed of it at all.

"Secret Crush On You" I love how it tells a fantasy for all of us who are different, that we too may one day get our One True Love, who loves us just as we are, glasses, bowl-cut, obsessions and all.

But others already have.

Then let me add

"The Proper Way To Write Love"  It gently touches some of my own mental scars, with the bullying and the stupid things teenagers say to each other, and the way it shapes your self-perception even years later.

"Absolute Zero" Some thought it was too slow (imho it was intentionally slow) and some couldn't get over the "age gap" (it's more or less a soulmate fic, though? Like in "love transcends time"?) I love the way it talks about grief and time and death and meetings and partings, and it's so heartbreaking and then lovely and hopeful.

"Senpai This Can't Be Love!" I like the exactly the things that people complain about, the will-they-won't-they, the non-communication, the clumsy confessions. For me, it's just on the right side of frustrating. It's one of my comfort watches.

May I also mention two I don't love but don't get nearly enough recognition? 

"Paint With Love" Characterizations are not that good, but the actors make up for it.

"My Ride" Has some continuity problems, but is a lovely story with class difference between the main characters.

I’ve finished DMD Friendship season 2 and it was really good. I felt like this season went deeper into the relationships between the participants, maybe because many of them had already worked together and spent a lot of time with each other.

I really liked Ohm, whom I didn’t know before. I like his personality and the way he talks, and let’s be honest he’s really handsome. His performance with Jimmy for the acting mission was really good. Even though it was only a few minutes long, it made me cry. I’m excited to see them play a couple on screen.

I can’t wait for Magic Lover, with three pairings from DMD Friendship.

There are a number of Japanese BLs I absolutely adore and keep watching repeatedly. None of these were panned, but neither were they as lauded as i think they should be. These are all rated below 8 and I rated them all an 8.5 or higher.

i also really loved the japanese version of Love In The Air. I don’t know why I liked it so much, but I watched it four or five times. It’s still not as good as the original but it’s really nice to have a shorter version and to fill in between other shows.

a few Korean shows I watch repeatedly even though I wouldn’t say they’re especially high quality include:

and, like Mr. P, sometimes I like shows even when they’re not good quality. Several Thai shows I really enjoyed which are considered not very good include:

battle of the writer’s (uncut version—which is no longer available internationally. boo)

Hard love mission (just a vehicle for Tonliew but so cute) Mr. P told me about this one

and everyone‘s low-quality favorite, secret crush on you

that's cool. i assume he's korean as well. does that mean you speak korean too? =D

Actually my friend is from Europe(Spain I believe so) and I don't speak Korean, I speak Spanish since I'm Mexican.
