Love Like a Bike

I know some people were frustrated with this show, and rightfully so, but I want to offer my opinion.

I really liked the idea of a show about healing past traumas through relationships. I don’t believe a relationship alone can usually do this, but I liked that Sailom actually sought treatment for what was clearly a serious case of complex PTSD. Of course the show had him recover far too quickly, but at least it was supposed to be because of treatment and feeling secure with Nabneung. I thought they were a cute couple too and I enjoyed watching them together. I wasn’t really interested in NavaSky’s story, but I did want to know more about Sky’s role as a host, since it seems to be portrayed differently in different shows. Otherwise their story was predictable. Also I didn’t feel much chemistry there. For me the stand out couple was definitely DindinTawan. Their chemistry was palpable, and their NC scenes were great. Yes, it was absurd to have sex on the side of the road after meeting for one minute and fighting, but I still loved their energy.

There is no question that everything wrapped up way too quickly at the end, making the healing of all the characters less meaningful. More time in general also should have been devoted to Tawan’s history and trauma as well as recovery.

I thought the family dynamics between the brothers, the sister, and the adopted mom were really sweet and I enjoyed seeing them all together.

I was shocked to see a second BL with an estranged parent seeking out their child for a bone marrow donor. (This is also in Ai Long Nhai.) I didn’t think this could actually be its own story trope. But I am learning no tropes are too obscure!

Overall, while this show had some problems with pacing and adequate story progression, I still really enjoyed it. Masu and Tee were cute and TaUs were scorching. It wasn’t the best BL but it also was definitely not a waste of time.

Has anyone heard about One Year and when the international release will be or where it will stream?

Yes, I've posted the trailer in the past and I'll share it below. It's airing on Thai TV today but I don't know about internationally.

RE: Love Like a Bike

In seriousness, I admire how you can take a poorly done drama and spin it into smth positive, or at least be able to sift through it to see the good parts. I struggle with that as you prob know, lol.

Okay, so I started Chains of Heart and did not realize Boom was in this until episode 3. 😅 He's a lot like Pond in the fact I never remember the actor, but the character they play instead. Their acting speaks for itself.

The drama however.... it's boring. So far the only parts I like is the main character interactions. I think it's the way the drama is scripted and directed, but it comes across as very flat.

Started My romance scammer : I totally forgot JuniorMark was my favorite couple in 10 perfect liners, and they're doing a good job here. The second couple nails it too, particularly Poon - a new (to me) cutie to follow.

I have 10 perfect liners on my upcoming to watch list. I keep hearing great things about it. For My Romance Scammer, it took a while for me to get into it because I kept dreading the reveal, but then I ended up worrying for nothing. I think I will like it way more on a rewatch.

I started watching My Romance Scammer, but I stopped because I couldn't get into it. So, it's on hold for now.

I'm from St Malo (Bretagne - FR)

I can’t say Chains of Heart was very good, but Boom Raveewit was amazing (as always) in it. I totally agree that he and Pond Ponlawit totally embody their characters. I really only watched Chains of Heart for Boom.

If you want any more specific info about it or spoilers, let me know.

Just got to episode 8 and think I can guess where this is headed. Though if I'm wrong I might enjoy this a little more. 😂

Whenever I think of a good uni drama I think of this one! I enjoyed it a lot for many reasons. Each couple had a story and the focus was on them, but we still got to see the other couples at times too. They did a good job of transitioning from one story to another and keeping all the the characters in the loop. The humor was good too. I don't recall much if any draggy parts or feeling bored. 10/10 from me!

ETA: I turned my scoring thingie back on cuz I went to look for it and got annoyed when it wasn't there, lol. Now I know. 🤣

RE: One Year

It's on YT. Apparently there's an uncut version somewhere, but for now I found this.
