Can I ask seriously of Asian fans (and even some Western Fans), because I genuinely don't get it;

What's with the infantilizing of grown ass male celebs? (especially BL actors)

Honestly have no idea. The most I can fangirl over a male celeb is like "he's so pretty" so something. But I say that about anyone I find attractive, man or woman.

But what you're describing is some other type of behavior. Like, they even have those tiny chibi plushies of BL actors or other male celebs.

And they think these grown ass men can do no wrong, etc. It's quite annoying to say the least.

I just had to ask this question because often, and this morning in particular I've seeing posts online like;

'he's such a sweet little baby'

'he's so small'

'my small little _____'

'my 🤏🏻 boi'

And that's not even including 'he's a babygirl',  'he's a 'wifey' etc. and I really don't get it. I really don't. Looking at a 6 ft grown ass man and thinking 'aww he's such a widdle baby' doesn't clock for me lol. I would think calling grown men this way is intended as an insult since everyday men in society would cringe or flat out say 'don't call me that', but nah, I see this everywhere. Very weird imo. I was hoping to get some insight to the psychology behind this in peoples answers, if they do it.

I don't think 'pretty' and 'beautiful' are the same as the ones I mentioned above, those are general adjectives applied to describing attractive looks on either sex imo.

(XD yeah I'm hanging around)

ahahaha I opened the page only to laugh at this

yeah, this behavior needs to stop

those are grown ass men. like, they don't even know them? only their public persona

(lol I'm trying to get Gagaoolala as a streaming service here, idk if you've seen the threads)
(but like, I just found out about a form that can be used to request adding of a new service)
(not sure if it works though.. I guess admins are indeed blind and deaf to anything LGBT)

Loudly AGREE. I wish it would stop. I often wonder if these 'fans' ever stop and think about how ridiculous and offensive some of the posts they make about celebs are, they don't ever think about how they'd feel if someone spam posted weird stuff like that about them. Critical thinking is dead though, fandom wars and such have proven this. lol

(I think there is a reason why MDL doesn't allow Gaga and some other networks, I used to know the reason but I've forgotten now. If I remember I'll message it to you. Aside from the MDL staff largely favouring SK and being lowkey homophobic I mean).

You dredged a memory from my vault now. :( A woman in her early 20s or so? on Twitter, years ago. She was talking about what she'd do to a certain Thai BL actor and none of it was uhh consensual. Rather, sexual harassment and even worse.

With some "fans", there's no boundaries. I don't know what they have in their heads, but it's nothing good. This behavior also could turn against the celebrity and often does. See: sasaeng "fans".

(Yeah, I thought so, too. But there is SK content on Gaga so it's the other thing probably...)

I don't see anything wrong with it.

When there's demand, there's supply. Idols, and traffic actors are there to fulfil what fans need and want. And in return, fans giving them traffic, loyalty, and popularity. It's give and take.

But I like mature grown men.

Very gross messed up behaviour. There are an abundance of female fans who think they can get away with the same behaviour they would condemn men for. It's messed up. I tend to call those kinds of fans 'The Unhinged'. It seems like the only way to call them.

Oh. I think you may be a part of the problem if this is how you view celebs/idols. This is not it, bruh.

Yikes.

That said, what you've written here definitely shines a light on what's going on mentally with some fans.

Yes, mature grown men are the best, but are you one of those people calling those mature grown men  'my smol little bean baby' online, publicly, perpetuating an offensive, off putting trend?

oh yeah, that name is appropriate for them. It's exactly the same behavior, it's insane fr

Saying this everywhere, but I'm leaving MDL due to how they won't ever add Gagaoolala as a service.

I'm only keeping my account to check notifications (until those die down) and also, search the database for a drama to watch, once in a while.

I'm just, so done with this website. :/

 Aqua:

Oh wtf, they haven't done anything with that? Last time I checked there's like 300+ votes...I don't wanna sound accusatory but it feels like they are purposely avoiding this issue.

Not wanting to derail this thread but now the votes are at 826 and they still haven't said anything.
