  • In the Name of People

    1. In the Name of People

    Chinese Drama - 2017, 55 episodes

    9.5

The first anti corruption drama - the mother and father of all the ones that came after 2017.

    The best of all.

  • Fearless Blood

    2. Fearless Blood

    Chinese Drama - 2023, 18 episodes

    8.5

A Wuxia-ish Republican-era road trip with bold Tarantino vibes.

  • Whispers of Fate

    3. Whispers of Fate

    Chinese Drama - 2025, 40 episodes

    8.0

A mix of genres: wuxia, xianxia and high fantasy

You need to know Chinese art history, films, and mostly Daoism and Buddhism to understand the drama. You'll miss 80% of its meaning.

Think of it as an ancient legend; the whole structure is a sum up of Buddhism cosmovision - never seen in the screen untill this drama arrived.

I have a review about the three topics aboce, just in case.

  • What a Wonderful World

    4. What a Wonderful World

    Chinese Drama - 2025, 8 episodes

    8.0

Going blind is only recommended for people with large cinematic experience, sensibility, life knowledge and/or mind flexibility. For the rest,  my review give some basic advices before watching it.

  • Rose Finch

    5. Rose Finch

    Chinese Drama - 2025, 30 episodes

    8.0

A short drama mixing Agatha Christie–style mystery with a Chinese thriller style. The first very solid production and a star-studded cast for this format, with social commentary.

    Very fast pace.
