this drama should be titled momoko and all the men who can't act it was quite frustrating to watch everyone barely putting any effort into this (except for takuya he acted ok but his character still sucked)

finally a side story that focuses on the keisatsu team! watching this while knowing what happened in the series was... such a bittersweet experience. it definitely gave me a different perspective of things than.... say.... if i had watched it before episode 27 :'( wish they had given satoru more screentime

started this for the laughs. i didnt know i was going to be deeply emotionally invested in some of the characters that-------- in this </3 and that second arc where chisato started developing stomachaches from work. THATS ME I FELT SO SEEN. definitely one of the best dramas in 2024; a shame i only got to finish it now

it has been a while since i watched a braindead romcom. this had way too many issues just like the other j x k collabs:

- ryo's character's revenge side plot was so underbaked that i never even learned his name. did he even have a real plan or was he just betting it all on those investors? </3 idk man should have planned that better. 

- 8 eps was NOT enough to set up a proper romance for these two!!!!! especially when i know my beloved oguri shun and han hyojoo would have done so much better with different material. hana was literally obsessed with her crush for like 7 eps???? hello when did sousuke even come into the picture for her??? 

- we really retire that "you did something nice to me 50000 decades ago i must like you forever" plot line garbage its the worst version of the red string of fate trope. let people fall in love with each other for who they really are!!!!! not because of some past connection!!!!

- they randomly depicted indonesians as gangsters and robbers as soon as hana stepped into bali im crying east asians u WILL GO TO HELL

everything this drama did right:

- akanishi jin. if he ever threw the scissors at me i would have walked down the aisle and pretended its OUR wedding UGHHHHH

- being more watchable than eye love you and what comes after love (thank god)

was really entertained by their beef LOL non and yui killed this! their match was everything to me but i do wish it had been a little more stretched out. especially the shogi scenes. a lot of aspects in this drama felt half baked actually. surely they could do more things with the kishi's family but chose not to???

of all the bls to get a sequel... but tbh i enjoyed this way more than the first season because of the casting plotline, but the romance was still so bad so this deserved a 3 at best. kiita it hurts to see your acting skills REGRESS this isnt u please stay away from those short dramas and start auditioning for big projects rn

when i saw amane get cast as hiroto, i knew exactly what this production was going for :') such a genius pick on their part since amane embodied that carefree/quirky image SO WELL!!!! although the vibe of this drama is very different from the manga, but i had a blast anyway! i really think this will get a s2...

what a fun journey! the first half was a little bit boring, and it gained so much momentum and became one of the shows i looked forward to watching every week! my favorite scene has to be the scene where shiki blew the tube <333 such a memorable declaration of love!!! not sure if i like that ending?? it was rly unexpected (in a good way) but at the same time cruel of them to mess with her memories again. :(  S2 I WILL WAIT FOR YOU

every now and then i come across a drama that feels like it was just written for me and i wish i would never have to let it go. :') thank you so much anta ga for accompanying me for the past two months!!! i have enjoyed pretty much everything about this. the music. the acting. the direction. the choreography. the curtain rolling down in every ep. the concept of people growing with and away from each other. the importance of meeting and recognizing people who are just like you so you learn about yourself. and of course, ebihara's fictional drama :') oooh ando kei your writing kinda spooked me a little. i need to watch whatever you write from here on out huh?

now that positivity is out of the way, FUCK YOU PEOPLE WHO WERE COMMENTING KAHO'S ACTING WASNT UP TO PAR!!!!

love and revolution! that was such a perfect episode to wrap up the series. i will always always recommend this to anyone. i know there were comments wanting worse for the parents who abandoned hotaru, but honestly, not the point of the drama. idk if i would be any more satisfied if they were to actually suffer from consequences. this drama is about receiving kindness from community, and extending that kindness to others.

i HATE this mess of a drama because they tried to jam too many couples in one and never did any of them justice.

1st couple: too vanilla. fuju cant act. only the tragic plotline was their saving grace but even so i couldnt gaf.

2nd couple: actually the only ones who had SOME flavor to them but their moments let me down </3 i will never forgive the writer of the drama for whatever they did to them

3rd couple: somehow even more boring than the first couple. jin i love you but you gotta stop picking just any script to get by.

the parents: idc about their hs days

random couple at the very end + the spin-off: why even introduce new characters??? who are these people and why was i forced to care about them with only 20 minutes of screentime.
