Mid to below average 12-episode romcom k-dramas in 2024-2025
I noticed that there's been quite the trend of k-dramas lately (since early 2024 I think?) which are--
1) romantic comedies
2) have 12 episodes
3) usually focuses on a niche subject
4) have a mostly awkward/embarrassing kind of slapstick humor, which is further accentuated with a set of supporting characters whose only purpose is to give comedic relief
5) Barely rated above 8.0 on MDL
Please, I really want to just watch a fun little romantic comedy that can make me FEEL things and make me ACTUALLY laugh within 12 episodes, and not... idk, side-eye at certain comedic attempts and awkward shit.

1. Brewing Love
Korean Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
Brewing Love is about beer. For beer. By beer. Beer. Lots of beer talk. I don't even know what beer tastes like. I feel like Brewing Love paved the way for other dramas on this list like The Potato Lab.

2. Crushology 101
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
The first 10 minutes of this drama told me practically everything I needed to know. And what did I find out within those 10 minutes? I found out that this drama is simply not for me. Maybe I'm past the age group for it. I know that it's about college kids, but I feel like the drama itself is meant for junior high school kids.

3. Pump Up the Healthy Love
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Pump Up The Love tackles with the themes of fitness, physical health, and perhaps even mental health at times. But it's way too slapstick for its own good. To the point that it feels like it's meant for... little kids? But then again, there are sexual innuendos in it. So... I don't know.

4. The Divorce Insurance
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
It's got 12 episodes, romance, comedy, Lee Da Hee in a fuck-ass bob, and divorce insurance people. I don't know what this is, actually. Divorce insurance? Alimony? Or is it something entirely else? Watch to find out! I sure as hell won't!

5. The Potato Lab
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
I haven't watched it, but I heard it's got a whole lotta potatoes! I like potatoes. The most versatile vegetable known to man.

6. Undercover High School
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
12-episode comedy drama with slight romance and apparently a notoriously explored NIS secret agent thriller which rides high on comedy and dangerously low on accuracy... WHO CARESSSSS IT'S GOT SEO KANG JOON IN IT FFS HE'S SO HOT AHHH I haven't seen it. He's hot af, but unfortunately I'm not 13 anymore, which means that I don't sit through episodes of bullshit writing just because oppa's a faaaaaaain specimen like I used to.

7. Wedding Impossible
Korean Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
Ehhhh fuck this drama.
I'm sorry for the random profanity, it's just that... I tend to get a little violent when it comes to this drama. I should've rated it much lower. I was way too generous for my own good... It's bad. That's all. It's a waste of hope, time and energy. If you find it fun during the first four episodes and have quite good expectations for the rest of it, re-consider your choices. Drop it and save your time.
