1. Rokuhodo Colorful Days
Japanese Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
This was such a heartwarming and funny series. The script was excellent because it had just the right amount of comedy, drama, and quirkiness. I love the cast and how they portrayed their characters. The friendship between the main characters was great. I also have to mention the obvious overtones of bromance in the series which added to my enjoyment.

2. Midnight Diner
Japanese Drama - 2009, 10 episodes
This was an outstanding series. Had a great script, music, and acting. Season 2 and 3 are also my favorites, but I didn’t include them to make room for other series. There are two movies (Midnight Diner; Midnight Diner 2) and a continuation series (Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories) that has two seasons. The continuation series was good, but didn’t have the same charm the original series has. This is listed as “Midnight Diner” on Netflix.
