Choi Woo Shik is a Korean-Canadian actor. In 2014, he starred in his first leading role in the film “Set Me Free”, for which he won Actor of the Year at the Busan International Film Festival.

He gained international recognition with the films “Train to Busan”, "Parasite", and “Okja”.

In 2018, he left JYP Entertainment and joined Management SOOP. He furthered his career by playing a mysterious assassin called the Nobleman in the movie “The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion”. His dark character was markedly different from his brighter characters, and, in the movie's press interview, his co-star Park Hee Soon stated that Nobleman may even be Choi's once-in-a-lifetime character.

He received international praise for his role in "Parasite", which won four Oscars, including Best Picture, at the 92nd Academy Awards. His performance as Ki Woo helped the film make history as the first non-English language film to win Best Picture. "Parasite" also won the Palme d'Or at Cannes and several other awards.

He appeared in Day6's "Congratulations" and "You Were Beautiful" MVs.

He earned the Director's Award at the 2021 SBS Drama Awards for "Our Beloved Summer" (2021). He also won the Top Excellence Award for Actor in a Romantic Comedy Miniseries for "Would You Marry Me".

On September 27, 2023, he signed an exclusive contract with the agency FABLE COMPANY.
