See, now I'm gonna be paying more attention to Tee and Nine moving forward!
Friend Zone was my vibe, and Stud was my favorite messy bish in that series too! I just loved him! Glad he's getting more work and playing another character in the same element. If you're looking for something similar to Friend Zone, I highly recommend The Player! It slays!
I cain't wait for next week! I'm sure we'll have so much more tea. Enjoy your week!
Just watched the first 2 episodes, and yall why is this ish so funny!? I died at all the dream sequences of ol boy finding out his new bride is a man in ep 2! And no wonder he gets away with looking like a girl when the big sis looks like that... LOL
Living for the drama! What a mess! A little too many ads in this ep, but they were as subtle as they could get…
Yesss! Another fun mess of an ep! I thought it was funny as hell and smart that they made the company for the characters to work at an advertising agency for the show's sponsors.
Bringing Candy onboard the chaos really spiced things up at the office. Dao is not over Nine. Periodt! The way he slammed those bags down on that crew member with the diarrhea told us everything we needed to know. But I'm also glad he's trying to move on in any way he think that he can with Tee. Nine's got some issues!
And I might be reading it wrong but am I sensing a bit of jelly off of Tee for Nine when he introduced Candy as his GF? Every time they have a scene together it feels like Tee has some sort of deeper feelings boiling beneath the surface. I could be wrong, and it could just be me sensing some chemistry between them, but they are old friends, and Tee seemed hurt that he lost contact with Nine back when he moved away.
You weren't the only one picking up them cuts on Praew's right arm! The way Nine talked about their last breakup with Candy before that scene seemed to suggest exactly what we're suspecting. Nine probly felt pressured into staying with her. It's clear he doesn't love her anymore, and is very well off on his own... So the only other reason he hasn't fully broken things off is cause he's scared of what'll happen to her if he leaves. The tea is definitely the self harm.
I think this also might be the reason Candy doesn't really like Praew, since she suspects she's manipulating Nine to stay in the relationship. If anything, this episode told us she's very good at reading people(she caught Dao's jealousy at the restaurant date), so it wouldn't surprise me if she sensed the ugly in that woman a mile away.
Chile, I screamed when Plustor from Friend Zone popped up at the jacuzzi! I knew the mess was really about to begin when I saw Stud!! If Candy was a problem, Daonuea is gonna lose his poor little fragile mind when he meets that boy! I agree about the escort service probly wasn't going on when he was with Praew. He would have no reason not to contact Dao if he was just calling up other boys on the side while they were together.
I here for all the absolutely messiness of this show, although, I need Nine to dial it down with rough treatment…
YES, to all of this!
I think people would like it more if they left their Saint Teressa values at the door and enjoyed it for the campy messiness that it is going for. You can tell by the tone in most of the scenes that a lot of it isn't meant to be that deep. Just looking at the way the scene with Praew and Candy plays out in this ep for example, tells us what this show is going for tonally. The messiness is there for the amusement of the viewers, and not for us to connect to their actions on a deeper level.
The only major issue I see is like you mentioned, Nine's rough housing and assaulting with Daonuea. That just isn't vibing with me either and needs to be dialed back, and it definitely clashes with the tone the show is setting... It could probably work if Daonuea was a bigger dude, but he's clearly outsized here and has no way to fight back. So it makes the whole thing just come off as total bullying.
On a positive note, I'm excited to see how things unfold once Praew starts visiting the office. Boat is gonna have so much tea to keep him busy. I was screaming at the scene when he found the button and wondered if anyone was hardcore at the office on his desk, or when he found Nine and Daonuea in the bathroom together! And the BOLDNESS of Nine to compare peen sizes between him and Tee with those bananas! Chile!!... I was entertained!
SJ is kinda super desperate though. Ji Woo must be extraordinary in bed... or great in the kitchen... or both, whew Chile!
But on a serious note. I think the main reason SJ can't move on is because he keeps sensing all these chinks in Ji Woo's cold behavior. He says one thing but acts another. JW has never been good at sharing his feelings but SJ has always been great at reading him. This is why their dynamic worked in the first place, and is why JW is finding it so difficult to pull away. I think this is likely why he went the ghosting route with SJ, since he knew him telling him he wanted to break up wasn't going to work. SJ isn't going to let him go without a good reason, and Ji Woo clearly isn't being honest and keeps coming up with a new reason every time they talk about it.
I do think people should only hold so much patience in these situations before it becomes self-sabotage(They are free to do what they want, but my sympathy for them will start to wane). I think they're both trapped in a bit of a tug of war. Ji Woo is pulling away but is giving off these glimmers of hope(more than glimmers at this point), while SJ is overbearing in his pursuit to win him back that he isn't considering his own self worth. I won't say much more than that until the show has finished airing, but this is what I've observed between the two that seem consistent with their characters in the first season.
Ji Woo is the same guy who called their relationship disgusting and broke up with SJ during SJ's birthday celebration back in S1 and moved out. He also ignored SJ's calls and still told SJ he wanted him to leave even after it came out he was only trying to protect him. JW has had these tendencies since the beginning, so I don't see why people are thinking this is new for his character or is bad writing.
And no, I don't think JW is getting back with his ex. All signs point to Ji Woo being gay and being unable fulfill that role in their relationship. Which is why he ended it.
I am actually enjoying this show. The special episode was great but was literally them meeting, taking pictures,…
Gurl, yesss! People always trying to be on their Mother Teresa values when we all know they want the trashy messy content! We all know it's the reasons those shows get the highest ratings and the most views(I be seeing those 10 stars for Addicted, Tharntype, and Kinnporshe in yalls profiles!). I'm LIVING for all the scenes with Boat peeping out the drama in the background!
This was a good series. The second half felt much stronger than the first, so I would advise those who may struggle with it at the beginning to keep watching. I felt very satisfied with the ending. It was the best ending they could've possibly received.
They call Soh boring and unfit but he's sporting that Aaliyah shirt in Ep4... He's a musician that regularly plays in a band, got into basketball to help Mon, cooks for his roommates, teaches Mon how to play the piano and regularly teaches him to do better with his life. What does Saint do exactly for Mon, besides buy him lollipops?
I think that Evan had the same situation, that the older doctor character had in the Taiwanese BL series, "We…
Don't think so. Pei Shouyi had an affective disorder that didn't allow him to feel much emotion. It wasn't a physical disability from what I could understand. I think Evan appears to have the reverse condition. In that he can feel and experience emotions normally but is unable to physically express them through his face.
I think his relationship with Faiyan is cute though at least.
It had so many interesting and dynamic characters and plot points that it's difficult to wrap into words. They all really pulled their weight here and turned this into something special.
Milin - Win: I thought the dynamics between the leads were handled well. Alek and Nychaa had good chemistry. Milin was a shocking revelation for me since I went into this blind and fully expected her to be a full villain character throughout the series until I realized the tables are flipped here. This is a character study into the psychology of flawed characters, and we start to learn how circumstance can muddy the true nature of a person. In the end, we learned she's a sensitive, down to earth girl, who was in love with her rival the whole time. She grew up feeling slighted by her father because of her gender and being pitted against her brother and rival(both of whom she loved). She grew up very aware of her father ways, which allowed her to forge herself in ways(some flawed) that allowed her to survive is such a harsh environment.
Which brings us to Win, who lived in total ignorance. With the belief that he was living his life freely and with the full care of the people around him, only to discover that reality isn't really the work of art he'd thought. He was completely caught off-guard and tossed into this business world unprepared, but I found him to be a very resistant and adaptable character. In situations where force and cruelty was required to thrive, Win used his understanding of 'art' to forge a new path for himself and came out of this game on top. His relationship with Milin was perfect because they complemented each other. Milin is able to come out of her shell and be herself with him, while Win is able to pull from Milin's experience and love to stay afloat.
----
Anna: Very flawed but interesting character. Her backstory is tragic but Anna shows she can be a completely ruthless character if her ambitions are strong enough. It's allowed her to survive in her upbringing though. Her pride is probably her biggest strength and greatest weakness, and I think it really shows why her and Milin are two very different people despite some initial glaring similarities, because I think there are still some lines Milin won't cross, while Anne is probably selfish at her core. She was fully willing to give up on Win and go behind his back for her own personal gain, whereas Milin at her core was always a compassionate person. I think Anna learns this lesson and experiences character growth throughout the series. So I ended up liking her by the end.
---
Tawit: I would probably say Pop was the star of this show as Tawit. He was such a brilliantly flawed character and was acted so well by Pop. I simply could not figure his angle until it happened and he kept me guessing throughout the whole entire show. Tawit is the KING of plot twist and (surprise b**ch) moments in this. Unfortunately, I really didn't think it should've ended the way that it did for him in this. I really thought he and Lisa would leave that world behind and just let their grievences go. Obviously Pee needed to go to prison, but I think the ending for him here was a misstep. For everything we understood from Tawit leading up to that point, he seemed like a bigger person than psychokiller. He actually reminded me of Seo Inwoo from Psychopath Diary in the last episode. Lol
---
Sean and Pete: These two were the reason I got into this show, and I think the only disappointing part about their story is how most of it happened offscreen. The BL cuts simply don't do them justice because their story is a big part of the other characters as well. Both are very interesting and compelling characters. Pete actually struggles probably more than Milin since he doesn't feel he is regarded at all by his family because of his stance(and sexuality). He's also completely aware of how cruel his father can be and doesn't want to be like him at all, unlike his other siblings. He found his own way to forge a path that isn't filled with cruelty and violence, and while it may not be as great a position as a CEO of a big corporation, he is able to sleep at night and support his friends and his siblings without feeling like he's betraying anyone. Pete has a great sense of independence and is the sweetest person... I should also probably mention that he has CAKE! Which is probably one of the biggest reasons Sean is so crazy about him.
Sean and Pete's story deserves its own spinoff honestly. There is so much we don't know about Sean since he basically lived a double life outside of the character we witness throughout this series. Sean's life has been as hard as Tawit's but it's clear Sean doesn't turn out to be as cruel a person as Tawit ends up being, and I'm honestly so thankful we got a gay character and couple in a lakorn on Channle 3 pulling through this without being a toxic couple or it having a tragic end for one of them(The Love Proposal and Teddy Bear are two recent examples, though still great series). What we didn't get to see is how Sean struggled with falling in love with the son of the man who murdered his father, or how he managed to bury the hate he had for Pee and let it go. In many ways, Sean and Pete turn out making the best decisions for themselves when two other leads faced similar circumstances. For me they were the brightest part of the show and had the best chemistry despite not sharing any kisses together on screen.

Shoutout to Mr. Pee(I call him Master P) for being such an amazing villain(bonus points for his Batcave). I loved every moment of that man on screen, Mr. Sam is a talented actor. His dynamic with Chai's Prama was EPIC and I thought they both played a really good game here. Also, a hat tip to Grams too! I loved how deliciously cruel her character could be and how sweet she was to Pete. These three played the head honchos so well! I'm sad I won't see more of this.

It's a 9/10 for me. Compelling characters, great story, delicious drama, good music, and cinematography.
