I agree. LDH was living a lie all that time, I can only imagine how suffocating that is. I don't know how's the attitude towards gay people nowadays in SK, but is it really that bad that one has to live like a criminal hiding one's crimes? It's just how a person is, nothing's wrong with that. People would mull it over for a while, but nobody actually cares. And he wasn't even a public figure until his grandpa dragged him into the lime light. I don't understand why he couldn't talk to grandpa privately about it, maybe grandpa wouldn't be insisting on making him company's CEO after that and all his problems would be gone. Not much of a plot that way, of course. But miscommunication in this drama is mind boggling.

Just watch and see how she'll be trying to wedge herself between them from now on. These types of characters always do.
And ML didn't lead her on, he got over her long ago. But she herself finally realized she's into ML recently and decided to act on it.
In his eyes they're just friends now and he seems to be too nice to her to turn her down for now.

Well, what's done's done. Maybe not a good choice, but this actress was chosen and we'll have to deal with that.
But yea, there's dissonance watching her delivering dead pan performances in very emotional scenes. Some people were saying that she acts natural, but it's too natural for acting in a drama. And she's acting like that even when she's acting, if you know what I mean.

ML did good though, angst was palpable.

It's an affair to the outsiders. It's not for those in the know. It's complicated.
But it sure will be used by brothers' crap ass family against them.

I think it's partially "dead fish" eyes effect. Some people just have expressionless eyes like that give that samey facial expression all the time. No offence to the actress, she's doing her best.

Today's episode was the turning point of turning SFL into a cliche jealous bish. Well, can't say it's surprising, can't ever have a nice character in that role.

The more episodes get aired the more it looks like this drama is about zero communication and running around in circles asking same questions, it seems. Kinda tiring to watch lately.

Grandchildren: Grandpa, why are you giving the company to the incompetent illegitimate child who's to blame for our mother's death?
Grandpa: Don't ask stupid questions, I'm tired. Get back to work.

ML: Are you ok marrying my brother? I'm ok.
FL: No, I'm having second thoughts, but I'm gonna do it.

Also ML: No, I'm not ok you're marrying my brother. Are you ok with that?
FL:...

And round in circles it goes. Ffs. 🤦‍♂️
They're supposed to be family, but nobody can tell anybody anything. And let's be real here, FL is too good for either of these brothers. One's a selfish coward, another's a habitual blame shifter and a jerk who's ready to throw his brother under a bus if it will give him vicarious power over the company.

It has a rather rough start but becomes excellent by the end.

Excellent, this is one of those dramas that needs it. Now they won't have to rush it if there's gonna be romance in the next season (and there should be if they're following the plot of the og TV series). I was afraid they're gonna slap it on as an afterthought at the end of season 1.
The og TV series this drama's based on had 5 seasons, btw. But the format was different, so I'll be happy even with 2.

Acting was great, but they dragged it for too long. There was enough good plot only for 12 episodes, the rest was filler full of dumb cliches. And don't even get me started on useless waste of screentime that is FL's brother. Can't give it more than 7.

It has high enough rating, 8.5 is pretty high. And it has flaws, especially in the beginning with ML's over the top shenanigans and some investigative stuff that breaks suspense of disbelief.

That's good old hypocrisy for you. She'll soon get what's coming to her after all these years.

This show has a rough start and ML in the beginning is over the top and not very likable. But it gets seriously better when he starts taking the job seriously. Nearing the end the writing becomes very competent and there are next to none of his stunts anymore. The guy becomes a real cop, but at times he still uses his wealth to help solve a case.

They were taking and implementing all the notes from the book of cliches for the past 4 episodes or so. This drama should have ended after episode 12, they're just dragging it on.

Why would he lose the money? The money belongs to the family and he's part of it. Unless his father cuts him out of it, which he wouldn't, nobody can do anything about his inheritance.

She definitely didn't do it herself, because she's too frail to overpower anybody. It was definitely a man and we've got no known characters left besides the butler. So I too think he did it, but it was on her command.
