Probably because he's an illegitimate son born out of the wedlock. My only question is why isn't she tired of…
Self-esteem issues? And maybe she has leverage on her father to deny him inheritance at any moment? The father can certainly ban him from running business at any moment. He already wasn't too keen on ML getting involved in anything on decision making level. Also, ML has big mommy issues and continues to act childishly when it comes to her, which his step-sister doesn't get tired to remind him of. Even his secretary said that he's often childish.
Probably because he's an illegitimate son born out of the wedlock. My only question is why isn't she tired of rubbing it in yet? She's like a broken record, repeating it all the time.
Business side of EP4 was total cringe. Top tier management going into every small shop and bottom tier team to scare them shitless with their presence? Personally firing bottom tier workers? Especially that cook who was working at the kitchen for a stain on the apron? Cooking is a messy business and aprons are designed for that, ffs. Telling bottom tier workers to increase sales? There are sales departments for that, ffs! They establish sales strategies, prices, promotions, etc. And if some worker is underperforming it's their job to reevaluate their worth in the company. I dunno what the hell did I watch there but it sure wasn't how business is done. Realistically top tier manager would drop her orders on her direct subordinates aka. divion/department lead officers and they'll send it down the line in their respective departments. Sure, sudden on site inspections can happen, but not what that dumb woman ordered those inspected workers. Furthermore, especially since it's a service industry they gotta have manuals and rules for every occasion. You can't just tell your workers to raise sales however they can, or they may start going about it in a way uncomfortable for their customers.
And for a big conglomerate with hotels, airlines, malls, etc. that family kinda lacks chaebol lustre and confidence. Everything looks kinda cheap and unconvincing about them. The house is nice though, I give them that (if only it wasn't used in every other kdrama out there). Anyway, seen way better representation in kdramas.
The hotel plot is too similar to See You in my 19th Life, but that is a much better drama, based on an excellent…
I disagree. I put See You in my 19th Life on hold, I wasn't sold on it. It's more soapy and tropey than I would have liked, with some questionable plot decisions.
Just nope. First, you're suggesting incest between his father and his daughter. Second, it was shown that she was a teenager that threw away his watch, he was a school boy back then. The age difference doesn't seem that big to be his mother. More like she was a bitch to him back then and still continues to. I'm more worried that FL's mother can be ML's mother. Because she seems to have worked at the King hotel.
The ML's father is a bad parent. I wish him a very sorrowful end. Slowly poisoned by his new wife would do, ending…
The woman is his daughter, not new wife. ML is a son from another woman it seems. But ML's father is a bad parent for making his children butt heads over the inheritance. A sure way to ruin the family.
Finally a rom-com with LJH. He looks so amazingly good 😍But really Korean script writer should do their research…
You know what was the grossest "no hygiene" moment? Gym workers wiping butt sweat with no disinfectant spray.
FL never visiting the top floors looks to be intentional. Top floors workers have a different colored uniform, which she'll get later when she'll be promoted to work there. Not sure about visiting a guest's bathroom, it was emergency, but I'm sure there are staff toilets on every floor. And never seeing semi-transparent bathroom walls looked dumb, but it was for comedy. Kdramas love to put FLs in embarassing situations.
I started the first episode. It's an ok watch but honestly why does the ML seem incompetent? The only thing he's…
I'd recommend Crazy Love. ML there is a very competent and convincing boss, I think the best representation I've seen. And FL there is quite rational usually (when she's not taking crazy revenge on ML due to reasons).
I thought you could give ML a bit of slack here since he's new at his job. But then I remembered chaebol ML in A Business Proposal was also new at his job, but he was quite competent and liked to get involved in the process. So I guess no slack for ML here, he's here to be a clueless chaebol boss and to flaunt his wealth for comedic effect, like in that scene at the airport.
Reincarnation and childhood connection, two of the most popular kdrama tropes. I guess they wanted to go for double whammy. I'm not seeing why they had to use reincarnation so far though, simple childhood connection could have served the same purpose. FL isn't making much use of her previous lives, it's just a hook to that sole important 18th one.
I'm not sold on this show yet. Spoil me somebody who read the webtoon - how does it end? Is it a happy ending or they died and met in 20th life or something?
P.S. Using White Truck Of Doom in the first episode is just overboard and uncreative. It's like there are no other ways to kill off a character.
I know right? I have been enjoying this so far but I genuinely do not feel the chemistry between the three friends.…
This drama is full 16 episodes. I'm sure there will be plenty of screentime reserved just for the leads. And establishing all characters is important, not just the leads.
Also, ML has big mommy issues and continues to act childishly when it comes to her, which his step-sister doesn't get tired to remind him of. Even his secretary said that he's often childish.

I still remember astounding visuals there.
