Played the first episode with my family last night, wanting a nice funny comedy but was hit with an excessive…
The first episode doesn't give this show justice, watch at least few more and you'll see why so many people like it. And if your parents are so prudish about swearing then don't watch it with them.
Only 1 episode aired and already questions about romance 🤣. Characters barely met! Anyway, there's no romance tag for this. So far. And many action comedy dramas don't have it at all.
He should've still knelt and gave her the ring, and let her make her final decision. He was too selfish to let…
I disagree. The brutal radio show was a wake up call for him, true. But his begrudged trip to the jewelry shop to buy the ring said it all. It was like watching a kicking and screaming kid being dragged to the dentist. Sorry, but he had 4 years to man up and clearly state in what kind of relationship they were. But he seems to be one of those carefree guys who won't move their ass at all if it's already comfortable, he strung along his girlfriend because he was too cowardly to say he wanted to be friends with benefits. Him being dumped like that was deserved. Too little, too late. So props to his girlfriend for being creative and writing that story for the radio show. That's how you clear things up straight away 🤣
Also, FL here is just as flawed, desperately wanting to marry that chicken guy for the sake of it, but you seem to be having a bias against the actress, I've seen you mention it below. Who hates a character after 1 episode? It's like watching Gaus Electronics and dropping it because FL there was an insufferable bully in the first few episodes.
Not bad, looks like silly fun. But these brash caper types of dramas often tend to end like ridiculous circus. Gotta see how it goes. It reminds me of Healer, Player and Café Minamdang.
Hmm, seems like it's more about romance than comedy 🤔, I was hoping for the latter. Nothing funny so far, a bit cringey at times. But it is about a rather hot topic - how dating is sought out for conformist, superfluous and shallow reasons. FL literally said: "Relationships are meant to be petty and unfair". People force themselves into something they're not just to tie the knot and then several years later, while filing for divorce, bafflingly wonder what they even saw in one another. And it didn't look like any of the presented characters really loved a person yet. Girls, as usual, paint guys they date as Prince Charmings, but then get uspet that their expectations aren't met. And guys, as usual, don't take it seriously and just go with the flow. We'll see how it goes next.
P.S. YIN is super cute, as always, but her character overacts that know-it-all fake Deborah persona too much I think.
Why do the FLs start up so strong and endup so wishy washy by the end of the drama ? And if they planned on this…
Yea, she's literally an orphan. By their own rules she should be forbidden as a candidate. But then again, nobody properly vetted the queen either. She too can enter the palace under some other family's name. Whatever, this fantastical ending is less concerning than an immortal fish whose eggs drive people crazy and hyponotizing incense that turns hair white.
So much potential when it started, ended up being a chore watch. Everything was rushed in the last 4 episodes…
The king was conviniently swept under the rug along with the queen and her son. With CP so suddenly becoming king and so much upheaval in the palace I'd be questioning whether he staged a coup and quitely poisoned the king and killed the queen&her son 😂
Mediocre. -Nonsensical title and kinda misleading poster. -The plot was too dragged out, I'd say about 6 episodes too many. -The plot was mostly about politics and full of beaten to death cliche tropes seen in practically every saeguk out there, nothing fresh. If you can't write a captivating period drama story then go fantasy, or at least throw some zombies into the mix to spice things up! 🙄🥱 -A very slow burn romance and lack of romantic chemistry between the main leads. -Misrepresentation of FL's character. She was presented as a fighter and genius detective in the beginning, but then was degraded into a passive sidekick to ML, who along with another male detective character basically solved all the mysteries. They took inspiration from the og novel, but def no wheels were reinvented here. -SML was so boring and lacking presence compared to ML, FL didn't even give him a good second look after meeting ML. I guess no one was having second lead syndromes here 🤣 -Some ridiculous bs about the immortal fish and queen's rise to power, don't even want to go there further. -Obligatory and as always unnecessary time skip and rushed ending! This just triggers me all the time in kdramas 😡 Person below wrote it perfectly - ML wasted 10 minutes of the last episode literally digging holes. Should have showed more scenes about what happened to everybody in the end, most of the stuff was just alluded to or announced and then it was the end.
Secondary couple was the only highlight, they were funny and cute together all the time. So i guess 6.5 overall from me.
Killing innocents for revenge was nothing to her already. But why the ef she aggroed solely on poor CP, who had…
She is evil minister's niece. I think it still holds true unless proven otherwise. She could have been from some poor family offshoot and nobody cared what she was doing until the minister decided to use her for his nefarious plans.
