Previews are always misleading on purpose to create more drama. But that's not to say that the ex-bish isn't there just for the sake of it. Personally, I think she's utterly unnecessary here, because we already have a jealous evil bish here and she's the main dish. Now it just starts to look like they're throwing every cliche possible into mix.

OMG, fkn whyy? 😠That ML's fiancee was completely unnecessary here. Why did they insert this boring cliche of a plot with arranged marriage/disapproving parent? There's enough drama and jealous bishes as it is, manga also was fine without it.
ML is the highlight of this drama. He's overacting a lot when he turns on his competitive\jealous mode, but it's very fun to watch. And also I like that he knows just the right words to say to FL to make her feel better. Her family don't understand her and there are a lot of insensitive, cruel people surrounding her. Personally, I think she needs to change the setting completely and go live somewhere else at least for a while, and away from her overbearing mother. But that would make ML sad, so I guess they won't go that route.
I don't get it. The anesthesiologist should have been the prime suspect since he's the one who administers drugs, yet he refused to be questioned and police be like, ok then. And now he wants to emigrate to another country, and police be like, ok then, nothing sus about that. Wtf is this? These kdrama plots are so ridiculous sometimes I don't even...
And on another note, if the patient had a certain condition that was a risk during surgery ML should have known about it from the very beginning and should have advised against the surgery. So what are they on about now? He knew and still proceeded. How will that exonerate him?
ML got the evidence from the boat without a warrant, does it even count as admissible evidence without a search warrant? And where's your typical squadron of lawyers to cover that business woman's and real culprit's ass? She should have stayed quiet and let the lawyers dismantle the gained evidence. Also, same goes for wiretapping, which is illegal in itself without the government permit. That other mom should go to jail for that. That evidence can also likely be made inadmissible.
Too much exaggeration, circus, lazily written cliche villains, and not a single likeable character. I only mildly liked that hulk of a policeman, but inconsistency of his conviction in law made him meh in the end. The least likeable was that crazy, know-it-all, morally bankrupt journalist woman. For whatever reason, at the very end, they tried to make her look human when she decided to tell a sappy story about her father being unjustly framed. But bish, you incited murders by giving targets to the Vigilante and were planning to throw him under a bus in the end, all for the sake of ratings, so what are you on about now? The hulk policeman sure didn't give a f in the end though and that was that.
