This may sound jaded, but even though they were pouring diabetes inducing syrup for almost the whole episode I wasn't feeling it. Because the romance throughout the drama was meh and chemistry just wasn't there. ML had a range of emotions that of a log and FL for the most part was too stiff. And why would they still use honorifics after living together for years? Never once I had a feeling these two characters were intimately close. Anyway, I think hack writers ruined the original plot ever since episode 12 and it didn't get better. After that episode it was full on cliche makjang clusterf*ck covered by a lengthy "happily ever after" lid to make it stink less.
P.S. They've probably made a drug addict out of that poor cat.
In which episode did they get together? In which episode did they breakup and get back again?Any love triangle…
1. Episode 12. 2. They didn't. 3. No real love triangle. There was ML's delulu ex who came back to the country after 12 years, but he didn't give her any second chances. 4. Yes.
Oh my, the writers got so lost rewriting the original plot...
First of all, they've completely lost the point of the original plot that Su Min married Min Hwan because she believed until the very last moment that FL loved him. But here FL blew her cover way before the wedding. So there was no point in marrying him at all and it made no sense. It looked unbelievable why Su Min would continue this charade. Or what, they've deliberately dumbed down Su Min just for that?
Then there's so much time wasted on this dumb back and forth with adultery scene reenactment that the plot became a convoluted circus show. First FL wants to fake date Min Hwan to reenact an adultery scene from her future. Then breaks up with Min Hwan to make him reenact it with delulu ex, though there's no actual proof as far as I've seen they were meeting romantically. Then ML says to Su Min that FL dates Min Hwan, but then FL says to Su Min she doesn't and that Min Hwan is trash. 🤦♂️ Then ML tells Su Min there's a date at the hotel, even though the chances of the evil duo having sex there at that time and not just meeting are highly questionable. Then Su Min goes to the hotel alone, even though to make them pay she has to come with the police because there was an adultery law at that time. There's the delulu ex's guard and she clearly came to the wrong place, but of course she got too curiously dumb.
And that's not even mentioning the professional body cleaner that is the crazy delulu ex. Jeez, woman, are you yakuza or something? How many people have you made disappear already?
I mean, did they really think they could write it better with this overcomplicated, messy version? These fckn hack writers, what a way to ruin a simple and cleanly written story.
Btw, manipulating people to do your bidding by being nice to them and telling them phrases like "You don't have to do it, but if you love me, you will" is called grooming. And seems like FL was the victim of it by that glasses guy. It's actually known to have long lasting effects on victims. Looks suspiciously similar to what FL is experiencing after she got triggered by the mention of that guy. And that's on top of depression. Yea, she's not gonna get better anytime soon I fear, we're only halfway through the drama.
It started all so well, so y are they doing this to us?
Yea, lol, break-ups already barely halfway through the drama now? At this point there's usually a kiss, not the staple penultimate stage before the end. And they've been dating literally for just one day. Too soon, too rushed, too cliche 🤣
Lol c'mon that look after "of course Ik when my male friend takes baths" was a start🤣🤣🤣 and Im still…
She said it so ambiguously that anybody could start suspecting there's something between her and the SML cop. So it's unclear whether ML was confused or jealous. But seeing how the leads have barely started tolerating each other I'm betting on the former for now. But there's certainly a manly competition going on between ML and SML.
I dont think MLs main problem is resolved yet, they will definitely find out more about who was involved in the…
Yea, I'm thinking he was known in the shady circles, or was introduced through reference to those Macau thugs and he gave them ML as a scapegoat, because he's a sad jelly loser who wants to ruin ML.
Yeah let's all blame Hong Ran for being annoying BUT the way Jeongwoo thought Haneul would feel bad if he gets…
I'm not sure ML should be blamed for this. There's no way to know how a depressed person with mood swings would react in this situation and none of these characters are psychologists or have read anything on the matter. He just assumed she would get upset, but she twisted it in a completely different direction. With erratic behavior showing, everyone around her would soon have to walk as if on eggshells to not upset her. But should they start suffering too because of her mental issues? Seems like ML will start working in the next episode and I think it's a good move from him, he gotta overcome his own mental problem.
I dunno what psychologists do to get people out of this state FL is in, but drugs aren't really helping her it looks like. I've heard that a complete change of setting and no upsetting reminds may help, but she seems unwilling to move away from her family and the city she got used to. I think in the end she'll realize she can't fight her condition alone (her family is utterly useless) and that she needs ML because he makes her feel better, but we're in for a couple of "break-up" episodes.

The Macau guys had clear motives to kill that woman and seems like police found evidence on that gangster brother. But I don't disagree that the glasses guy was involved.
I think they did. From the reaction and preview also the picture.
Or they didn't, but ML misunderstood that they were and why she's so down now. Anyway, it's time for the dumb misunderstandings and obligatory break-up, rarely a drama without it.

He was exonerated and the real culprit behind it was caught, his reputation was cleared and he can start anew - it was the main mystery and problem. If you mean the glasses guy had a hand in it, I think it can only be something vague, like recommending him as a scapegoat to the culprit. I'm sure ML will see his true colors soon enough, now that it was revealed he messed with FL as well.
I feel like ML's main problem was resolved too soon. Are they gonna solve FL's problems now for the other half of the drama? Will there be enough content? It's already having lots of filler with annoying, useless brother and nosy family that serve no purpose for the plot. I mean, we already know her sunbaes used her as a ghost writer mule for their dissertations. Everybody was riding on her shoulders for free, we get it. But for 8 whole episodes? Probably gonna reserve a few for the typical dumb break-up to fill the time...
The leads have become more tolerable to watch, with FL's unreasonable hate being largely gone now that she get to know ML better and ML showing his real character more under his insufferable chaebol persona. And the team even invited ML to their dinner. They're still bickering, but are finally working together.
Some investigative stuff in the drama is laughably bad, but I guess it's not a serious procedural to start nitpicking.
I know that the original drama this kdrama is based on had romance and the tag is here as well, but I'm not seeing it so far, the leads are still far away to even become friends, let alone something more. SML detective is going after the medical examiner girl, just like in Castle lol, so there's no third wheeling so far at least. But we saw a teaser of ML's ex at the end of the last episode, seems like your typical crazy one.
Su Min dying is not good enough. In the manga she got a more satisfying ending.
She got a life sentence and was sent to rot in jail for killing Min Hwan's mother and trying to run over FL and ML with a car. FL visited her once for some last sweet revenge - to say farewell and that she now erases Su Min from her life forever.
