They've cast her cheaper child version to explain things in part 2. You've already seen it in today's episode.

The skeleton belonged to Choi mage from 200 years ago. The same mage who discovered the ice stone's properties and the one who learned how to make soul ejectors. Apparently he was an evil dude and his whole clan was destroyed by Songrim's founder. Shaman Choi and her brother, papa Jin, were his descendants.

It's still not explained what really happened there. And it can be interpreted that JBY's priestess body automatically trapped Naksu's soul inside because of her innate divine powers.

But is that a fact?

You misinterpreted her meaning. She said she liked him even more than he did, but couldn't tell him about it in part 1. And now she couldn't say anything to him either so as not to hurt him even more, because she knows she will die soon and she feels very guilty about killing him. So she pushed him away by alluding she liked some other guy, even though she talked about him.
It was very touching actually, I never realized she liked him that much in part 1. But then again, she was a rather shy tsundere when it came to showing her feelings, it was always Uk who was very open and straightforward.

Because Uk hid and loved Naksu who possessed JBY's body. She hates them both for using her daughter's body.

Just a very crazy theory here:
There was information about some baby(-ies) filmed on set. What if they are not just someone's epilogue babies but a solution to Naksu's problem?
What if JBY agrees to give up the body to Naksu, but in return Naksu will have to give birth to a baby with JBY's soul (proven possible with the ice stone) and then give it to mama Jin as a tribute?

It's way cheaper to film a child actress than JSM.

They were showing the old cut from part 1 about 200 years old event. It's unknown whether the rain ritual will even take place if the good guys win the final showdown with the villains in time.

They were also teasing Jin Mu's bells for today's episode but it was also the old cut from part 1, Naksu just remembered it.

She's very dumb as this drama keeps showing us. But she was given information that Naksu may remember herself and disappear soon. Either way, it doesn't matter, she's just waiting for her precious JBY to return now so she won't do anything to Naksu. I hope she won't get her daughter back, tbh, she doesn't deserve it.

Yea, but we'll see whether it's a good thing in the end, or she would have been better off dying an innocent noob without hurting herself and Uk even more.
I doubt she'll be able to save herself from JBY, btw.
It's either gonna be Uk with his Hwansu level magic, though he'll pay the price for it (they gonna send him to that prison for sorcery users?).
Or it's gonna be JBY herself who will voluntarlily give up the body (less likely tbh).

Just watch a few more episodes and you'll understand what people were talking about.

The leads have suffered waaaaaay too much to just kill them off and end it on a bad note. That's my belief. But then again, it's Hong sisters, can't trust them with a satisfactory ending.

Yul is just a useless bad friend at this point, hopefully he'll be of some use in the final showdown with the villains. He gotta repay his friends a life debt for saving him.

As for that Heo girl, I think in episode 8 they've finally showed us her purpose of existing in this drama (aside from being a bitch) - to force Naksu to remember herself.

Better be prepared beforehead, instead of being bewildered of master Lee's shenanigans later.

I dunno, some people claim that JBY is the mastermind of this whole mess. Wouldn't be completely out of the blue, they still haven't explained why she appeared during aos ritual instead of the random girl. Some people say it was deliberate and that she foresaw the future or something, and that her grand plan is to get the ice stone by getting close to Uk and destroy it.

It's Naksu's soul inside transformed JBY's body. But JBY's soul is still dormant in it as well.
