They have a general Seo and he's not a part of that organization. They are not military, ordinary guards have different uniforms.

Isn't Cheonbugwan their family business? They took Gwanju position for many years, I mean Cheonbugwan founder…
To this day I still have no idea what Cheonbugwan stands for and why does it have so much power and tight connections to the royal family.
Songrim, for example, easy - a school for mages and an institution that regulates use of magic.
Sejukwon - a healers school and healthcare organization within Songrim.
Jinyowon - a vault to safeguard dangerours relics and artifacts made by the ice stone, and also a school for female mages/priestesses who wish to join Jin clan.
But Cheonbugwan is what? An organization that records constellations throughout the year by astrologer mages? Why does it have so much power and fingers in all pies then? Why Jang Kang, as Gwanju, was hunting down sorcerers as well? Wasn't it Songrim's job? Why are they frequently clashing about their duties?

I guess Master Lee wanted to repeat the King's star and Jin Priestess thing. We got very little info about the…
Thankfully, there are no reincarnation tropes going on in this drama either, I hate those too. They just have those folklore beliefs about certain fates associated to people born under certain constellations.

And according to that love poem, Songrim founder left the ice stone for Jin clan founder, but she refused to use it to prolong her life and died. And it was left with Jin clan ever since. I guess Songrim founder could have asked for it back later to destroy it? He probably couldn't because Jin clan bitches are possessive 😂 and didn't want to give it to him. Or he didn't care about what happens to it anymore.

Master Lee seems sure that ML and FL fates are linked together (for better or worse). They just can't help themselves but to meet each other. Is he hoping they gonna repeat Songrim and Jin clan founders' lives? That didn't end well, they saved the world, but Jin clan founder was injured and died soon after the war. Also, I'm not sure whom master Lee considers to be fated to Uk, cuz we have Naksu here and JBY, both are tangled so much together now that I'm not sure who's the catalyst. But I guess it's Naksu, even though she originally had no connection to the Jin clan. And since she's a wild card, maybe things will go differently compared to the past events.

But I guess, overall, I'm willing to take this sort of "fated to be together" trope over dumb "childhood connection" trope any day. It's good that Yul got rejected in part 1, him remembering those forest meetings with Naksu was total cringe, guy had nothing to go on from the start but his own fond memories. He never could handle Naksu 😆.

Before lighting the lamp Bu Yeon did got some flashes of her memories when she touched her sword which shows that…
I'm not. She turned off the lamp the first time by herself in episode 2, when she was going back home from Uk's house. Uk noticed it's off later and came back for her at the Unanimous Assembly, where she repeated the trick. Sword touching was later in episode 3, when she was back at his house and tried to light the lamp on.

She turned off the lamp without touching the sword first. Can lighting up the lamp be considered a separate ability?

What about Naksu's sword? Didn't she start to regain memories when she touched the sword in Wook's house, like…
She turned off the lamp before touching her sword.
And Uk is already confused, because she remembers stuff even without touching anything now.

I agree with all you said. Only want to add a bit. The latest memories she got was after she kept Uk warm at night.…
Yea, I'm glad I'm not the only one justifiably asking questions and being confused.

Naksu and her connection to the Fire Bird is really interesting. So excited to see how all these will play out…
That's a bit of stretch right now with no real connections. As I've said above - general allegories. Fire-water, ying-yang, light-shadow, yada-yada, etc.

And usually in Asian culture a woman represents water, ying energy and is the black part on the ying-yang symbol ☯. And Uk gave Naksu blue jade for same reason.
So if we're drawing parallels, it's actually Uk who should have more connections to the fire bird. That he has the ice stone in him is temporary, if the ice stone belongs to anyone it's Jin female clan. They were made to be associated with water and female power on purpose here.

Priestesses magical energy is also a mysterious subject, barely touched upon. Seems like it's different to regular mages. Or it's JBY's body that is different, considering it was birthed with the ice stone's help. When Mu-Deok got petrified, only Naksu's energy was still barely keeping it alive. And it was Naksu's energy that was depleted by master Lee to transform the body. Where was JBY's energy? On what was it spent? Was it even there to begin with?

She did show him the bird egg, he did ask politely after all, but what connection does it have to Naksu?

Personally, I've long since given up on expecting any consistent, logical development about how AoS works, and…
I agree, I think the writers simply haven't thought deep enough about the consistency of the lore and are just throwing new things into the mix as they go for angst and drama's sake. At least it feels like it.
And I'm not even talking about the debate about what (the body or the soul) actually passes on genetics and magic powers in Daeho. Seems like neither the characters, nor the writers themselves can agree on one theory, with physical evidence on one side and speculations on the other.

Yea, we still haven't seen any flashy moves, the likes mama Jin and Jin Cho-Yeon were sometimes showing off. Everything we've seen so far looked more like innate body's abilities, mostly just seeing/sensing energy, but who knows what actually counts as new and what's innate.

There's a connection? So far the only one I've heard are those frequent
general allegories to birds and hatching eggs. But they don't connect the fire bird to Naksu directly. Yea, it's in the Jin vault aka. prison and it can cause a real drought when hatched, which Jin priestesses know how to counteract with a rain ritual. Naksu or some other Jin priestess may in the future be forced to perform said ritual, but that's about it.

Yea, I'm not giving a detailed account of memories vs. divine powers occurence. But I'm sure you'd agree that new memories overall were more frequent so far than new divine abilities.

And weren't her innate divine powers what kept ghosts at bay, ergo keeping Uk warm at night? Can that even count as a new ability? Isn't it the same like her being able to see energy and open Jin vault door with her presence?

What if this Master Lee is a fraud?😂 On the other hand, he confirmed that Uk's real father is the late King.
I dunno, he never once told a direct lie. But he sure does love to omit and withhold information.
Personally, I think he's just an old bored troll who likes to liven up his days by watching people scramble after hearing another one of his dosed info dumps.

I still don't get why Naksu's soul is gonna get rejected by the JBY's body when she regains JBY's divine powers.

According to master Lee, to be in harmony the body and soul must be identical in appearance, which still holds true for Naksu.
But also according to master Lee, regaining JBY's divine powers *before* regaining Naksu's memories is bad? Why the ef? There's no JBY's soul inside anymore, meaning there's no more soul template to verify against for the body. Is it because the body will "think" that it's that of a divine magic priestess and won't accept a soul of a regular arcane mage? How will regaining divine powers even contribute to Naksu's memories recollection?

And also, are JBY's divine powers really coming forth before Naksu's memories? Yea, she lit up that lantern with no memories, but after that, memory glimpses started to happen way more frequently than her regaining any new divine abilities. Maybe she'll still be ok and master Lee doesn't know everything?

Tbh, this newly invented contrived reason about memories being a new cause for Naksu's impending doom sounds like a made up late addition to the already established lore since part 1. Master Lee (aka. the writers insert) keeps inventing new s*it to throw into the fan.

I interpreted Master Lee worrying about JBY's body clashing with Naksu's soul and that she might go wild. Assuming…
Master Lee never lied so far and mama Jin is sure divine powers are inherited through the body. JBY’s blood still courses through it and with the soul gone there’s nothing else but the body that gives Naksu her powers now. And mama Jin wanted to marry her off so that she’d provide a new powerful priestess for Jin clan. Are you saying master Lee lied to her and JBY’s soul is still inside the body? I somehow doubt it.

I also think that scene with Park Jin and Kim Do Ju about the two chesnuts drowning... Not a good sign.
That's what happens when you don't treat a person with kindness and don't give him cookies - he turns into Jin Mu. And jokes aside, I'm serious - he's another victim of Jin bitches clan.
