No, it's not a thing.
He didn’t take that offered money from Bingo CEO, cuz it “smelled bad” and later lost to him on purpose to take his case and bail him out to punish his deputy. And in another instance with loan sharks he immediately gave it all to the suicidal loaner. So yea, he bills the bad guys egregiously when he feels like it, but then either doesn’t take the money in the end or gives it all away.

Of all ongoing law kdramas right now ..this holds 1stplace for me.Its just too good
Personally, I find One Dollar Lawyer better than this one, it also has a similar premise, but lighter tone and hilarious characters.
But leads here, I dunno, are too old looking/have tired faces and samey facial expressions? Anyway, it's a good enough drama, but something is lacking concerning the leads.

More episodes I watch and more I love Cheon Ji Hun's character ♥️ I know I shouldn't be shipping him with…
Yea, it's unclear atm if there's gonna be any romance in this drama, but leads have great chemistry and a few little suggestive scenes were already shown.

Please can anyone suggest me more dramas like this one ?
Judging by your avatar you've already watched something similar. Two wackos and a serious character as a foil, who take on various jobs and frequently can't afford to pay rent to a terrifying landlord grandma. Sounds familiar... 🤔😅 I'm also a fan of this anime, btw, one of the best.

As for something similar dramavise, maybe these:
-Vincenzo
-Military Prosecutor Doberman
-Suspicious Partner (grandpa there is the same as here and also plays law firm's chairman)

And it seems that somewhat similar premise is in an ongoing drama "May It Please the Court", but it's more tonally serious.

Title One Dollar Lawyer Spoiler
Is there a big overarching plot in this series or perhaps a villain of some sort? Or is it more of an "a case…
There are an ambitious father and son antagonists. Lawyer father wants to become co-owner of FL grandpa's law firm by marrying her off to his son, who's a prosecutor with dreams of grandure. Neither FL, nor grandpa have a clue about these nefarious plans. ML and prosecutor will frequently clash in court judging by the intro.

This is a great show so far. Unrealistic as it is, I genuinely like the unpredictability and the thoughtfully…
Not with nothing. Great aunt's long term investment inheritance will turn into profit. At least that's how it was in the book.

Choi Dae Hoon, such an amazing actor. In some other series, they under utilised him.
Doesn't he frequently play this type of a bit dumb villain?

How they keep playing our girl Oh In Joo🤣BEST COUPLE AWARD GOES TO:Oh In Joo & Cluelessness
Yea, gotta wonder how many other sus documents she signed without a clue what they're about. Could have as easily signed that she sells herself into slavery, or donates all of her organs. She's such a dumb dumb, only rarely she comes up with a good plan, mostly riding out on sheer luck 🤣

Also, I can't believe Won Sang Woo, after quetly sitting in the psychiatric ward for years, deliberately went and allowed himself to be killed just like that. Also, where was the the sideways camera shooting from? 😱🤦‍♂️
I guess now that Park Jae Sang (tentatively) is out of the picture, full wrath of the orchid society will come crashing down on the sisters. Looks like crazy bitch has a superior - that museum grandpa.
But I believe Choi dad and son will still help them out.

I feel like last the two episodes were diving too deep into farce - the plot stopped being believable with frequent unreliable narration, overcomplicated caper plans and public shows. Not something I would have liked, tbh. At this point the cool myserious and dangerous vibe is all but gone, the conclusion seems to be going into safe tropey showdown with the villains.

No, it's not a thing.
This show is a joke on how much lawyers actually cost (a lot) and how big their salaries are irl. Even in the drama everybody is baffled of ML. It's also nine times less than minimum wage per hour in SK. So you can't possibly live with that kind of salary. Hence it is unclear how ML continues to keep his appearances, but it's understandable that he can't even pay rent. And he doesn't even use this money - he collects it in a jar. There's going to be some explanation later, I bet, why he fights for the little guy so much and how he manages to live like this for several years already.

And although "pro bono" cases are a thing for lawyers, usually there's a quota on them per year, like, 50 hours per year, for example, reserved to provide non-profit legal services or at a lowered price. There are also public defenders, but they get paid by the state.

the people dropping and getting disappointed because this drama doesn’t resembles the actual book are so miserable…
If it followed the book I wouldn't have even started watching it, not interesting, and there were western adaptions of it already.

It's a cliffhanger to make us watch the next episode. The director of this drama is the same that directed Vincenzo,…
I got the vibe that since Vincenzo was about Italian mafioso with Italian motifs they intentionally made that drama in the style of old opera sub genre - opera buffa. Too many similarities with absurd and comical situations escalating out of control in every episode only to calm down and begin again in the next.

I just love FL's facial expressions and ML's weird unfazed manner of speaking 🤣 Is it called "calm trolling" or "sly mentoring" tone 🤔?

In Vincenzo almost every episode ended with leads being threatened with deadly harm and/or jail and in the next episode it was resolved as easy as pie in the first few minutes. Stopped being suspensful fast after repeating it so many times.

Can't wait to see in what crazy direction this drama gonna go this week, can't predict anything, but I'm here for the ride 😀. TvN are on fire this season, airing one unpredictable awesome drama after another. They may as well hold this streak until the end of the year if Umbrella will be of the same quality, cuz December is already set with AoS: Part 2.

Title Touch Your Heart Spoiler
Sounds like nitpicking. It's not a court drama, but a rom-com, so of course legal cases are not the focus here,…
I'm sure that guy's mental capacity was simply verified off screen, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to present himself in court without assistance. EAW did have a big focus on autistic people, but even there medical examination and presenting of medical examination reports were done prior court proceedings, like it should. Of course, that doesn't stop one side or the other from trying poking at it some more for their benefit, but it simply didn't happen in TYH. And again, no matter on what side of the spectrum an autistic person is, if physically they are an adult they'll be tried, though sentence may vary. Why he was given such a harsh one in TYH is up to debate, but again, different cases, different judges, jury or no jury...And of course it's a fictional drama, invoking strong reactions from the audience by showing injustice is a common trick.

All in all, I disagree with you, for a rom-com TYH's court and law firm's scenes were done well and gave sufficiently believable background for the main focus of the drama. Lawyers even went to different court houses, like they should, which is often forgotten in court dramas where we see same court building and room no matter where the case is registered. And cases were taken seriously, unlike some dumb circus and braggery like in Military Prosecutor Doberman, Vincenzo and the likes.

Also, not sure why you're mentioning crimes commited under influence here, but in most countries it's an aggravating, not an extenuating circumstance.
