Blind date girl is very cunning by playing innocence. And looks like it’s gonna be love square with FL’s ex back into the picture. I’m not a fan of third wheeling in dramas, but let’s see how annoying it will get.
What’s your take, guys, on this “friends to lovers with giant 20 years gap” type of plot? Realistic or fantasy? Personally, I think there’s no way in all these 20 years they didn’t have any sort of situations like the one at end of ep2 and neither felt any romantic feelings towards another at some point. It’s either your classical ML with unrequited love again (possible because FL was in love with another man and maybe didn’t notice ML’s feelings). Or it’s a fantasy slice of life about midlife crisis, regrets and realizations about what and who’s really important in life. Or at least most suitable.
Without knowing the leads better it’s as unrealistic to me so far as the premise in ongoing Law Cafe, but there at least it’s all clear with ML being in love with FL all those years, but due to dumb circumstances he avoided her most of the time.
P.S. No hate for the drama, I actually like that it’s more mature audience oriented. Just this premise is kind of a niggle.
Is it only me who likes siwon’s blind date girl? She is quite growing on me
I'm more curious how this whole plot gonna end. In the beginning of episode 1, wasn't it the blind date girl with ML in that dating variety show? They're not gonna get married for real, are they? I hate this certain type of drama where the leads go separate ways in the end, it's a waste of time for me. Now that I think about it, maybe I should put it on hold...😬
There was romance build up in Vincenzo, you weren't paying close enough attention. Also, ost lyrics say it all:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTIhjBSVjOA
You should have paid more attention, especially to FL, it didn't start in the last few episodes. Maybe it was too subtle for you, I don't know.
I am conflicted about whether I should continue this or not. I watched till 4th episode last week, and I can't…
I tried it once, put it on hold, tried again after more episodes aired and then dropped it today. ML is cute, but the rest is a messy waste of time. I'm also not a fan on PMY and her typecast roles, so maybe that played a part.
Wonder if Vietnam's viewers feel the same way?Little Women has been the #1 top Netflix TV show in Vietnam for…
It's pure fiction, but clearly some people take it too seriously and blow it out of proportion. Yea, it was mentioned that Koreans were few in Vietnam war and they were super elite trained soldiers in that ficitional version of history, so of course their KD ratio was skewed heavily in their favor compared to average conscripts. It was deliberate writing though, to show how elite those soldiers were and judging by ML's commando dad I could believe it. But if every historical fiction were to be banned there'd be none to watch, because of course writers very often glorify one side and disparage the other. But whatever, nowadays just give people any reason and they'll scream bloody murder...
Watch this quickly as Vietnam is asking for the drama to be pulled over historical inaccuracies. https://tuoitrenews.vn/news/ttnewsstyle/20221005/vietnam-asks-netflix-to-block-south-korean-tv-drama-little-women-over-history-distortions/69411.html
I had the drunk woman trope explained to me once but still don't understand it. Apparently, if a woman can be…
I've seen news recently that Japan now wants to promote alcohol industry on state level because citizens aren't drinking enough and it's big tax money. So maybe something like that happened in SK as well.
Also, if as woman I'd have found myself in situations kdramas FLs get themselves into after getting sloshed, I'd be absolutely mortified and wouldn't come near alcohol ever again. As alcohol advertisments to women these scenes absolutely don't work. Proper commercials make products look appealing, cool and beneficial. There's nothing like this shown in any of these tropey "wasted" scenes - they just show the ugly, embarassing side of those who consumes alcohol, not something any woman or man would want to show about themselves irl. Maybe it's reverse commercial to show dangers of alcohol consumption and critique of drinking culture? Or maybe it's just done in every kdrama for cheap giggles.
Personally, I stopped finding these scenes funny dozens of dramas ago and just accept them with second hand embarrassment as the inevitable incoming trope.
I'm thinking that the torture master in hiding, whom Gi Do is looking for and who is supposed to be the next victim according to him, is the dumplings restaurant owner. And the amnesiac guy with dead wife was his victim. Maybe the torture master has had a change of heart by taking him in, or maybe he's using the amnesiac guy to murder people for revenge.
But next victim I think is going to be the police chief. As soon as FL gets involved with the victims through cases they die soon after. But it's no longer sus because apparently ML involves her in these cases on purpose. He seems to be a complicated character - he's likely investigating Gi Do's inner circle of crime buddies and wants FL to make amends for working for these scum.
They are leaning with hints to either main lead or restaurant owner as the killer...but we are way tooo early…
Looks like ML is investigating all those bad guys, but he's def not the killer - it's not only shown as too obvious to the audience, but he's also the prime suspect by the police already. If he's the killer then there's no intrigue. No self respecting crime story plot would be like that, it's usually some side guy nobody thought about.

Also, this drama is only 12 episodes total, so things are moving at a good pace.
