I'm more curious about director and writer combo. On the one hand, One Dollar Lawyer was funny in the first half (mostly because of the cast), but conflict with the screenwriter made it into a rushed mess in the later half. Cafe Minamdang was...well, it was watchable, I guess, if very tropey. At least the actor is the same here, playing something of a shaman again.
Err He's told her repeatedly to buzz off though. I don't know exactly he's supposed to tell her to fudge off when…
After you've seen a number of these types of dramas, some tropes just become too annoying. Here this character just has no business being so possessive, it looks plain psycho. If she at least had real engagement with ML at some point or knew him for a while, I'd get it.

If he really cared, why don't he just marry her for real, grandpa'd be pleased. It's all a drag just for drama tension, stringing along the misunderstandings for frustration's sake. I'm getting sick of these in kdramas, tbh.

He's not in a hurry to refute that bs engagement announcement publicly. Also, if you really want to make a woman to buzz off, don't just say you're not interested and act aloof, or hide behind another woman. It makes them even more determined. This one looks like a spoiled brat, he should have been real rude to her, calling out her being unattractive as a woman and person, or smth. If she's after money, he could have used logic reversal to make himself undesirable to her, like switching focus to his cousin. If she's just a possessive psycho, cut her off at every turn, get a restraining order on her, or even use her own tricks to write bad pr articles about her. And I think the easiest way to get rid of her is for him to talk honest with his grandpa and get him to accept FL. There are options, but they prolong this bs with her barging in everywhere like an uncouth thug for tropey drama.

He clerarly wasn't firm enough and too polite. And he had so many opportunities, but to prolong this dumb drama with her they even resort to cutting the scenes without him giving a proper tell off.
That Mo Tae Hui character is pure trash. Skip, skip, skip. Also, ML is annoying for not telling her firmly to buzz off. She looks like an obsessive psycho and he doesn't even need her company's help.
If your main interest is the VR, then you'll probably be dissatisfied with the show.
I watched around 10 episodes and dropped it. Just a typical tropey office drama with annoying FL and omnipotent ML. VR could have been something fresh at least, but seems like they either didn't have the budget for it, or it was plain bait.
Why is she schizo? Is it something from the novel?
We'll see. After seeing a number of these dramas, they all start to blur in because of regurgitated plots. Hopefully there's something fresh here. Gonna watch mainly for the actress.

Oh, maybe you're right. Or maybe it's bait and it's something else. We'll see. I'm just hoping the plot is good, I'm tired of cliches in historical cdramas. I'm already seeing revenge trope here, it's been like in every 2nd such drama. At least hopefully no cartoonish family squabbles over power and money.
