This never happened. The story was invented by this guy's agency, written (badly) by AI or one of the agency's…
It doesn't look a typical beauty standard nose cnetz would love, doubtful he's done anything to it. Also, who cares, even if he has, they all do it to an extent.
Looks like fake news for PR. Who took those photos, the stalker? Anyway, pls stop posting this bs about actors' private lives here. Nobody cares except those obsessive cnetz. Better post actual news about dramas.
This is another one of those very underrated dramas that are not rated higher because it's not a soap, just like…
Give me a break. Those idol cdramas are the majority now. Very rarely there's a historical drama, serious plot or not, where ML is not looking like he's about to have a photo session on a battlefield. It's just what the market wants, I guess, and market nowadays mainly consists of swooning teenager girls and young women. It's no wonder there was a condemning post from CCP about how ridiculous those MLs look.

You know exactly which ones since you've just spelled out your preferences. Personally, I don't care for 20 something looking thin, bleached idols with tons of cosmetics plastered on their faces acting generals. They neither look, nor act the part for 99% of cases. I'm not saying that they have to look like grizzly bears in their 40s, but the trend we have in recent years, in cdamas especially, is pathetic.
it won't be the same FL since she says she can't do martial arts dramas anymore
It's not 100% certain that she won't return. Stunt doubles are also there for a reason. Let's just wait if anything pans out of this S2 announcement. Considering how slow these announcements get traction, it can be years before we hear anything.
how ironic that the sfl strted pointing fingers for being caught up btwn 2 men while shes the one who cant decide…
She doesn't want ML, she got into her head that she wants SML after he was kind to her. She's just being a bish to FL to annoy her, implying she still has tabs on ML. Really dumb and annoying character, as it turns out. ML needs to throw her out of his house already.
Just re-watched the last part of Episode 1 and there is a major clue as to what happened long ago. In the modern…
I'm more interested to see how FL was used by the SML in the past, but still ended up as his top consort. Use'm and abuse'm? And where was ML when they made FL drink poison? Already dead?
It's a separate story. There have been a lot of different dramas on Detective Di and his cases, so this is just…
I've gathered as much after looking up Di Renjie character. There are a shit ton of movies and dramas about him. Maybe I'll watch this one, the trailer looked interesting. If anyone interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLWqGlv1828
currently watching this and as someone in the medical profession, I just can't accept that she wears gloves but…
Nor apron over fancy clothes to not get dirty at the very least. Letting her hair down to swipe all that necro grime instead of wearing a cap is also wtf. There are lots of historical cdramas where coroners are properly dressed, this here is dumb af and FL is written as such a pro Mary Sue out of nowhere considering her background, it's annoying. Everybody's basically gawking at her in awe, like they see a professional in this field for the first time in their lives, in a bustling city no less. All that nonwithstanding, props to you if can manage to finish this boring slog without skipping.
Some emperors in ancient China had them by thousands. This guy's seems more moderate compared, but still, lol. There…
Consort Shu is the Emperor's favorite concubine backed by a powerful clan, and is closely tied to the main plot. So of course she is featured more prominently, even more so in the last case.
But not all cases had something to do with his concubines. Only the ones about a ghost baby and false deity featured them prominently. Though they did show some of the others in minor roles. I'd say it's the emperor who was related to all of the cases more, since his often questionable behavior sent big ripples of consequences through all of his court, influencing everything and everyone.
Irl that emperor had like 40 something children, so of course there were lots of ladies at his harem. No wonder that poor 15th princess in the first case was lamenting he saw her like 3 time total in her life. The guy probably didn't even remember he had some of the children, let alone their names. He only remembered he had her when it was time for politics.
Another sad thing is that if a woman was chosen as a Chinese emperor's concubine, she couldn't ever leave the palace, even if the emperor forgot all about her already. She'd live there for the rest of her days in one of the palace's pavillions. Which required servants of course. So there were lots of people working at the palace just to serve in the harem. Also, all women working at the palace were emperor's women - servants, musicians, etc. He could choose any one of them at any moment. That's the premise of the third case.
how are they connected? only the same world or sth else too?
The screenwriter has three webtoon works in the same "Kang Full Universe", two of which were adapted into kdramas already. One is Moving, the other is Light Shop and there's a third one about time travellers called Timing, which is yet to be adapted, but there was a teaser of it in Light Shop kdrama at the end. They also teased Go Youn Jung character there at the end, so all these dramas are interconnected and are happening in the same kdrama world.
If you watch it a second time, you'll notice there are meaningful scenes here and there rather early on that pave way throughout the episodes, but yea, it gets a big focus in later episodes, you're close. At least it's not out of nowhere here, they made their relationship quite believable based on gradual trust and respect, rather than simple physical attraction.
FL also has a very difficult character to deal with, her coming to terms with accepting ML was a long road here. She's not only hell bent on her life's goal of revenge, but is also very jaded, suspicious and pushes people away because of survivor's guilt. Having such patient, understanding ML here complemented her character greatly, though not all viewers liked that he was that way, I guess. Some I've read wanted him to hack and slash along side her and indulge her self-destructive behavior, instead of actually trying to help her.
Some emperors in ancient China had them by thousands. This guy's seems more moderate compared, but still, lol. There was a legend about one emperor who had 10k concubines and was so fat, he rode to their palaces on a chariot ridden by goats. To gain his attention, concubines started growing grass and bamboo to attract goats, so that he'd visit them, lol.

In any case, cdrama actors looks nowadays borderline on the off putting, and it'd be nice if they can even act. I'm mainly looking for good plots and historical consistency, I'm not swayed by any of this superficial bs. Maybe you'll get it when you're older. So hard agree to disagree here.
I'll just leave it here:
