I really hate that bish. There's a wise saying - don't fck up your kids. But she really did a number on FL.

One would think that chaebols would strongly want their legacy to live on through their real offsprings, but I guess these ones care about image above everything else.

imo viewers should watch this drama at 1x speed without skipping any scenes. This is a drama with no fluffy filler…
I'm pretty sure the questions I've had there weren't extrapolated upon in the first 8 episodes, but just had to be sure.

So, grandpa had an affair on the side and ML is his son? And the psycho is his first son's son? This reminds of Graceful Family, another drama full of makjang bs, lol. They're not even trying anything new with tropes it seems.

Oh, ok then. But then why'd FL's mother be afraid that they'll get kicked out after the crash if she was already the wife?

Ok, but again, if FL's mother was a mistress at that time, was it already in the open? Why'd her kid be with his wife and kids in the car? I mean, what normal wife would tolerate mistress's kid to hang around with her?
On When the Phone Rings Dec 28, 2024
I've completed 8 episodes, somebody spoil me the tangled makjang web that is these two families' members relations, I must have missed it along the way:
1. FL's mother. Did she work for her current husband before his first wife got WTOD-ed, or was she his mistress? If she was the mistress why'd her daugher be in the car with other kids that day?
2. ML's real parents. It looked like he was some random neighbourhood kid, then it was revealed he was living with some fisherman guy. Is it extrapolated later how he got switcherooed with that other family's real son? This strongly reminds me of Flower Of Evil plot, but way less smart.

Another question would be about the dirt they have on each other, but I can already pretty much guess what it is, so don't care.

Yea, this drama seriously tests my ability to close eyes on dumbassery. And the severity of it grows exponentially…
Well, she's 23 (24 by Korean system), it's practically a teen by today's standarts, especially for those living rich sheltered lives.
What's more impressive is how ML, not being much older than her, judging by kids scenes, is already a superman press-secretary for the government in a country where seniority system is king. But then again, he's a nepobaby, so that also counts...
The only thing I can't figure out is how she's friends with SML - he's 10 years older than her. What, he went to college much later?

The husband is not much brighter than her. I was about to bang my head against a wall a couple of times after seeing his sheer stupidity.
They're made for each other, I guess, dumbasses the two of them, who can't properly communicate with people, lol. This plot would not have happened if they just sat and talked like normal people, preferrably 3 years ago.

The good: entertaining, filmed well, good acting, fantastic chemistry between the leads! Very solid kiss scene…
Yea, this drama seriously tests my ability to close eyes on dumbassery. And the severity of it grows exponentially with every episode so it's really frustrating. Then there's also the case of cheese that is aging quite fast into some kind of makjang type.
So while it's entertaining and is causing a reaction, it's not in a way I'd like. The fresh idea of a disfunctional married couple only being able to talk properly through phone calls is the only thing that keeps me going here. But that incessant makjang and switcheroo bs of a mute turning out not to be a mute, a deaf one not being deaf, children not being real ones, hiding serial killers in the making in the basement , chaebol bishes bishing around, etc. is really wearing me down here.

Yes, but from time to time there's a K-movie masterpiece. Also, some excellent K-actors only do movies, like Song…
Just one movie in the sea of mediocrity. A real outlier instead of good representative of a whole.

They’re so many dramas to look forward to they’re are just a few, 2024 was a strong year so I hope we can…
What are even your preferences?
It had Alchemy of Souls, A Business Proposal, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Crazy Love, Gaus Electronics, Little Women, Tomorrow, The Glory, One Dollar Lawyer, Military Prosecutor Doberman, May It Please The Court, Blind...
If you didn't like any of those what are you even doing here? Jeez..

Title Escape
Was more or less ok in the first half, but the second half was some unrealistic action flick bs. Even CLOY looked more realistic and that's hilarious.

Ok then. I don't care if it's complex or not, I just prefer ones that don't throw logic out the window for the sake of cheese and makjang.

I will never understand why people are watching k-dramas (especially romance ones) and expect some groundbreaking…
If you mean that one movie that got an oscar it's an outlier. Somehow kdramas quality overall is on par or greater than their movies usually.

There are people who don't touch their wives though, if you keep watching u will understand why he didn't tell…
What it it? The regular police was already mentioned - it was reasonable to suggest they would blab. Secret Service probably covers a dozen scandals a day defending government officials though, it's their job.
