I mean you can have your own views on topics. I won't object to thatIn my view I found the show super realistic,…
???
Toku Asahino (Etsuko) is a female mangaka tho? She's a Jousei mangaka but known mostly for her BL works. In The Apartment her first published work is definitely BL, she then created predeccessor of that story, More Than Words which is slice of life/drama with BL taking the passenger seat.
Im not sure if the show as a whole is a LGBTQ+ show tho, I mean Fujoshi Ukkari is definitely a good example of dorama LGBTQ+ since the whole premise of the show was Jun's struggle with his gender/identity. But More Than Words focus was more on Eiji and Makki's relationship on the pov of Mieko so I think its more slice of life BL.
I do agree with you on the asian parents, their views are outdated and not much of a persuasion can change that. Its good that a new and kinder generation can disestablished those views.
after all that drama, angst and unnecessary subplot, I never knew those last minutes in the finale would be possible. I'd still replay that scene in my mind, its just too perfect. I thought we're getting at least a hug or a cherry magic elevator scene but they bless us with 3 amazing kisses!!! I just want to cry, will def missed them sm, but wouldn't probably go through that angst/drama again lol
anyway would love to see more of Asuka!! that boy is a gem
This is easily the most beautiful Jdrama of the year, I'm stunned its such a good stand-alone drama but a solid 8/10 adaptation but still this is nerve-wrackingly good. I wish I could watch this again the first time!!! The manga is amazing as expected from Ayako sensei, you'll get more in-depth from the characters in there but I still love the drama because of Chiba and Nagayama :))
Ok, this is like an early 2000s yaoi came to life. I feel so bad for Yuuki, dude just want to have a normal life playing music but life has other plans for him. The chick needs serious therapy and that sociopath rapist needs to get behind bars. Overall it was a pretty decent movie vibing to Mozart and Wagner
This was actually better than I expected!! Good for them, having a happy ending and all of that but I can't help laughing so hard at some scenes like that dude cooking in purple g-string plus that uncomfortable seggs scene in the beach while huge waves crashing in your face😂 that must have been hard for the actors
As cute as I find this drama. I have to admit I'm growing evermore frustrated with Japanese BLs. On completing…
Well all their bl content are adapted from manga and Boys love is actually under the category of shoujo which means manga made for high school girls so all those cute romantic moments between leads are adapted from the same trope that mangakas have been using for the past decades, such as kabedon, cute shy leads and prince like protagonist. They're not leaning to more intimate scenes because they're target audience are Japanese high school girls who are more prevalent on reading BL mangas. As per Pornographer it's under the jousei category which is for older adult females. That's why they're dealing more with heavy themes. Dangerous drugs of sex, Double Mints and The cornered mouse dreams of cheese are under the same category as well.
I think the focus of Japanese Bl's lies more on the cute romantic aspect rather than the representation of LGBT+ people, with the exception of Fujoshi Ukkari, which I think is a really great queer series.
They got together, sadly there's no kiss. But we never know, the series might make a few changes🤭
I based it on the latest chapter, c15 part 1, which is still in raw and I never mentioned that the manga was finished, so chill. But vol 3 is actually done with them ending up together but with still no kiss. I also don't think that the series will follow the latest chapters since it's already done with shooting.
Ignore the comments and please give this one a try!! I guarantee you'll enjoy this one as well as all the JBL releases this year. This one didn't lack, they just had their own way of telling a story which wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. People will hate because they want to hate. If you dislike a series just drop it, it's as simple as that, no need to spoil the fun for everyone who enjoys it.
