This drama is making sooo many ppl's ugly sexist face hidden behind the fake feminist mask reveal itself and girl I went from being mad to laughing the hell out of my lungs I'm having sooo much fun reading some of these comments 😂 Keep trying honey, it just shows your awful mindset and how badly you probably treat other women in real life. This one's a drama after all and XLH is a fictional character but your actually trashy way of thinking about women and the way you treat real women in your real life will bite you HARD af one day evantually and we will be celebrating it cause you deserve that lol
fed up of this hate train for the female lead. you people want a perfect character with no flaws who always makes…
Literally took the words out of my mouth...Like it's so freaking stupid and dumb they seat there reciting a list of female characters who have the exact same characteristics and are like WHY is fl in this drama not like that. They do this labeling it as we need dramas to empower women while saying the most misogynist and sexist shite ever lmfao, indicating that only one type of personality for a woman makes her a good woman and everything else is unworthy of paying attention to and having her story heard. JLFX is a woman herself, women are always protagonists in her stories and novels all have different types of female characters, she also never projects sexist tropes in her stories so if people just decide to be less airheaded and don't instantly categorize XLH as annoying and actually watch the show without that stupid bias, they'll see there's more to her and her development than just a damsel in distress, unlike many other shows that use this kind of a female character as the main girl with sexist intentions.
This is 2022, why do we still have these silly, whiny , damsel in distress, childish, helpless female lead characters???…
Also really ironic to mention TLB in a comment criticizing Little Orchid. TLB was an excellent example of proving people that women with different personalities and different abilities can all be strong in their own ways. LeYan was a white lotus character archetype, similar to little orchid in many aspects, yet she managed to grow without losing her kindness and personality. If FL's specialty was her strong nature and her fighting and war strategy skills, LeYan's was her kindness, the purity of her heart and her needlework. Both of them were strong in their OWN ways, Leyan's kindness got her in trouble lots of time but paid her back lots of times in return. Same thing with XLH, her kindness has paid her back lots of times in only 12 episodes of the drama and her difference with a damsel in distress is that that particular trope exists to make male characters look cooler while the story is actually focused on HER here and SHE is the protagonist and the MAIN character. I really hope some of you ppl understand that comparing women like this and making one look bad to make the other one to look good, and also constantly making rules on what is good and what is bad in a woman and what they should or shouldn't be like to fit your specific "standard" of a "strong" woman is not cool and...well sexist lol. It's pretty much the same thing as ppl hating Cinderella bc they found her "weak" and not feminist enough. The IRONY right there is amazing lol.

Oh and btw if you're gonna preach about women being marketed badly on media go on and talk about how the ML's pr team and producers of WRTW ignored FL's character to focus on ML's "perfection" and "coolness" to the point that ZLS's character became a freaking extra halfway towards the end of the show, that's the REAL sexism and misogyny women face in the industry, their characters getting ignored and their job opportunities stolen by men. that drama was the PRIME example of female characters being "strong" in a disgusting tokenist way while the plot and story not giving a damn to their arc, their life and their own struggles. The "strong" woman is just there bc ppl like strong female characters but her arc and story was completely wiped and she was boiled down to nothing but the male lead's "Love interest". And as much as i enjoy LLTG, it suffers from another awful and annoying misogynistic trope which has rotten media to the core which is female rivalry and 1 dimensional btchy 2ndry female characters who are dumb, stupid, materialistic and hate fl bc they're "jealous" her. Her mother and pretty much every other woman in the show is bad and in the wrong while most men are chill cool and cute lol. Tell me how in the world that's the right way to portray women well in an empowering and human way??? FL being strongheaded in there doesn't make it feminist at all because of the horrible way the other women are treated in the show. (Notice that I do NOT hate the main girls in any of these shows, I hate the way writers treat them and the rest of the women in the shows)

This is 2022 why do we still have these silly whiny sexist misogynist people hating on female characters for absolutely no logical reasoning whatsoever
i really get beauty and the beast vibes (especially that one scene in episode 3!) except the beast is a handsome…
Yup yup exactly Beauty and the beast as well. It's like as if Disney would try to make a Chinese movie and actually nailed it (which they can't do lol)
I can't shut up sorry I'm just really excited about this show but I need to say it: The relationship dynamic between the mains gives me Howl's moving castle vibes and I keep having a mental breakdown thinking about it 😠I know it's not similar at all but it is I'm obsessed HELP ME THIS IS UNHEALTHY
Xun Feng is an actual smart vilain, I like that the story didn't drag with the cliche plot while noone know they…
I've recently noticed that cool and friendly supporting female characters is a common thing about most JLFX novels and I love that so much. The female rivalry trope barely happens irl or at least doesn't happen as much as dramas love it lol we gals prefer being pals most of the times. I mean I have experienced disliking so many other girls in my life that I ended up being friends with It's actually pretty relatable, and also superior in any way to one dimensional b!tchy 2nd fl who hates the main girl and only exists bc the writers need to somehow drag the show lol...I always feel bad for actresses who get to play these shallow characters
Esther actually really sexy as dfqc and I will give credit where it's due WHD keeps surprising me in this drama with the acting he's really good :) Oh and the brothers' stories and the villain are all actually really interesting, hope they give us emotional stuff later. AND today's episodes where funny as hell some of you ppl don't know how to have fun UNCLENCH please
I'm surprised that I actually like the story. Body swapping is a a bit of pet peeve of mine, coupled with a cutesy…
Omg exactly you are so right. People just automatically assume female characters who are cutsy are stupid but if you actually watch the show without being biased, you can see that xlh is FAR from dumb. People think cute and wise/strong CAN'T coexist in a woman lol
I feel dumb af I just realized that the dreamlike scenes in which Orchid is in the deserted piece of snowy land with the tree is a visual metaphor for her slowly melting his icy cold soul I'm crying rn that is so beautiful 😠my stupid brain kept thinking what those scenes had to do with the story lol. This drama is very classic fairytale-esque my cheesy self loves it saur much
You all simp over male characters who are being abusive manipulative pieces of sh!t all the god damn time but…
omg exactly I've been thinking about this for sooooo long. Most of Asian drama fans are straight girls that's why everyone hates female characters and actresses soooo much when they've done literally nothing wrong while overlooking every shitty thing male characters do like???? Someone down below commented how fl here has not s3x appeal bc she's whiny and cutsy and I was like lmfao no honey I as a bi woman LOVE this kind of a girl . Women who aren't filled with internalized misogyny or are actually attracted to women NEVER say this kind of a shit about other women, it's obvious whose opinion is biased and whose is not.
