People say men usually seek women that are like their mothers. It’s the same case for FSG. FYX is similar to his mother in a lot of ways; intelligent, super strong, independent, kind hearted, caring and most importantly the desire to protect him at all costs. It’s so sexy!

To be fair, he did beg the emperor to not kill his son. I think the main reason for the emperor not granting PM’s son an amnesty was because he resented the Zhuang family for killing the former Empress.

Hmmm the PM in his crazed revenge frenzy seems to have forgotten that he also owes a blood debt to FSG.
I can’t help but pity him. He seemed he was a good person until he lost his son. I don’t condone his actions, but I can understand his motivation. He succumbed his life to desire for revenge. Such a tragic life.
OMG.!!!!! The emperor’s acting deserves a standing ovation 👏 👏. The Empress is going to commit regicide. Now that the princess is working with Jinxiu’s emperor. Will she become FSG’s backing? Will FSG and FXY flee to Jinxiu for asylum?
I am honestly very upset with the show…all the villains are going above and beyond to make sure FSG doesnt become…
It’s not that simple. The prime minister and Murong Yao are not simply just after the throne. They’re here for revenge. The prime minister wants FSG dead so the emperor can feel the agony of having to bury his own child. Exactly like what he went through.
I’m late to the party. Now I have caught up until episode 17. The female lead is strong and can flirt! Hahaha. FSG has definitely met her female counterpart. It’s funny how FSG , known as Susha’s Killer God, the most feared first prince, always loses to her in their banters. 😂😂😂😂. He looks like an inexperienced one as compared to her.
It’s all nicely wrapped up!!!! I rarely watch modern dramas as I am more of a costume drama person. Love’s Ambition is 10/10 for me, for the acting, the story telling, the theme it explores, the happy ending and proper closure for all characters. Zhao Lusi once again proved her acting talent. Her portrayal of Xu Yan was brilliant. She truly immersed herself in the character. She made me believe Xu Yan is not just a character, she’s a living person. Grandma is undoubtedly my most favourite supporting character. What a wise woman, she is! She saved both XY and HC’s lives. She has very less screen time, but every time she is on screen, she exudes wisdom and her presence is always impactful.
LT is up to no good. QL is careless and too trusting. On a side note, SHM made some progress in this episode. Both of them did honestly. Looks like they’re getting back together in tomorrow’s episode.
So the question is: did they do it or not in episode 26? 😂😂😂 It looks the sister and YYM never left the house, it would be so awkward for them if they did it since they’re so wild when they’re drunk. 😳😳😂😂
Basically their love languages are different. XY’s is words of affirmation and actions. What HM lacks is the affirmation of his being sorry and his feelings for her. XY did this very early on when her lies were exposed. She owned her mistakes, apologised to SHM and his family. Told him multiple times that she loved him, that her feelings for him were genuine. But SHM had not done any of those that XY needed to hear from him. Never apologise and share his feelings. As long as HM is not honest and open with her, it’s always be a hurdle in their relationship. They need overcome this ultimate hurdle to be on the same wavelength, to move forward. HM needs to realise that he has been doing it the wrong way. And it looks like that will happen in episode 28.
she found out about 3 months evaluation period from Mrs Barakin Everything SMH does for her is a love declaration…
Not sure if you have watched today’s episode. I don’t think XY gave much thought about what it meant when Mrs. Barakin said that. But when Steve said that, it hit differently. XY has been doubting HM’s intentions whether he helped her out of love or something else. Honestly, her guarded heart started opening for him slowly. Until Steve poisoned her with the idea that what HM did might not be out of love but for benefits to pass the 3 months evaluation. I understand why XY was disappointed, because HM was not honest with her. Never share his feelings. XY needs his words of affirmation, needs him to say it out loud that he’s sorry and he loves her.
