Episode 30 preview…oh no…my heart broke for HC 😢😭😢😭😢 idk how he can heal from it.

Today’s episode is such a setback for HM in winning XY back. XY has given him a big hint that he’s not open and honest enough. That he’s still hiding his feelings. It doesn’t help that XY had to learn about the Mr. Barakin’s 3 months evaluation period from Steve, not from HM himself. This kind of validated XY’s doubts about his love. Like others have pointed out, HM told everyone else that he’s in love with XY but XY herself. He really needs to start with an apology and have an open and honest conversation with XY. If not, they’re not going to go anywhere and far enough.

She did thank him here and there privately. Just not a declaration like she did for JL. I understand why she had to do that since JL is her official investor. I would hope that she can have a private conversation with HM after that celebratory dinner.

I have never seen him in a costume drama. He looks beautiful and hot in costumes !!! I always have a thing for men in costume dramas. Gonna start this one this weekend.

Me too. I felt happy for him. But in one of the previews, he seems to be still stalking QL and YYM and his facial expression doesn’t look like he’s up to something good. I hope I’m wrong.

Keep watching. It’s less comedic in episode 24. SHM is less childish and making some progress. He’s starting to have a decent conversation with XY, acknowledging his arrogance and that his money and power are not what XY is after.

The comment section is surprisingly quieter this week. I wonder if it’s because the drama has changed its tone in recent episodes.
Anyway, I’m still looking forward to new episode every day. From the previews, it looks like the angst is coming. And I don’t think they’re going to proceed with the divorce. Will they have a kid together? I hope that we would get a full episode of their married life post reconciliation.

I agree with some of the comments that SHM’s behaviour is childish. I get that they try to show us how SHM remembers little things about XY, like her phone number etc. But I feel like the plot is all over the place. Some scenes are so random. Idk what messages the director and writer try to convey. I would prefer XY and SHM to have a proper conversation like they did in the resort.
Judging from the preview until episode, it looks like the tone of the story is still the same. I’m still hopeful that they will show us proper resolutions for SHM & XY’s relationship, Haochen’s birth secret, XY & her parents’ relationship and XY and SHM’s family relationship.

I wonder too. Literal translation of “ai ren” is a lover. But in this drama, they seem to use that term as “wife”.

I agree with Lusi. There are lessons learned from this drama for us, especially as women. We need to know our worth, not rush into a relationship and exit fast when it’s become toxic. Our wellbeing and mental health is definitely more precious than material possessions.
