Maybe going against the majority, but that FL got on my nerves so fast and so hard, that I could only last up to ep 2 and then I gave up the whole thing. Between the stupid smile like, hey, there's nothing on my head ...like at all, the constant getting on the ML face whether he like it or not, and getting on silly situations 'cos she was just that, a little silly thing...it was a bit too much for me. Maybe with another actress...one that can show she had a brain under all that hair...dunno...
i don't think even bad buddy has 99% good reviews or t8s or TMS for kbls, i think any mainstream BL series is…
@OhmLeng thanks a lot for replying to my comment. Just want to clarify that I put the number of 99% as a ref based on someone's comments here, not that I think there are exactly 99% positive or negative comments on this platform lol! And maybe you're right that most of the commentators here nit-pick at everything... still not sure I can agree that in this platform there are more negative comments as compared with others. I don't see it that way but truly appreciate your comment and point of view.
People is complaining that this site contains an awful amount of bad comments... but shouldn't that tell you something? The site is not the prob, not are the commentators... the issue is the constant release of productions that should have never been released! This one is a sample. Who really thought that this amount of histrionics, shouting, non existing plot, bad "special effects" and borderline brain damaged character was going to be good? I'm all for understanding and accepting cultural differences ie. japanese acting... I never leave bad comments as I understand is not to my personal liking, not that it is intrinsically bad. But this is just terrible... I could not get through the whole chapter was so bad. Because we like BL genre is why we leave bad reviews not the opposite. We have the right to get decent productions with decent direction, script, etc... we don't have to like stuff like this just because is classified as BL! Check the good BLs out there and you will see, that the reviews left are 99% positive . Put out productions like this one (why, oh why spend the money) and yes, the reviews will be 99% negative. I don't blame the actors are most of them here are kinda good but I blame the producers, writers and director that they think we don't deserve anything better. (rant over ☺)
Just finished and I have to say that in my opinion this is perfectly watchable after all this time. Very entertaining and to me with just the right amount of romance. Good mix of humour, intrigue, violence and action. I hate with mushy, feelings and that stuff gets on the way of action and good snarky, strong leading lady. A solid 8 to me. Seeing a young Gong Yoo is not small matter on top of it all hehe... By the way, I may have missed that but was his role explained at the end? I know is one of the good guys but they say from where he comes from?
wow, really??? well if true that goes to show that 64 eps is just a waste of time hahaha... and you may be indeed right as since I posted the above, there are not more released eps and not suggestions of even more coming up (normally there's a note saying how many days until next chapter but nothing here)
Well, personally I did not see any bromance at all... You see a bit of romance, not much mind you, but it's of the heterosexual kind... all very clean 😉
Well, just finished and was a bit disappointed to be honest. I liked the action scenes, best one in the restaurant with her "buddies" ... music, action... all phenomenal, but did not like the end at all. Also, the daughter was really annoying with all that teenage angst ...! Dunno, kinda was expecting more black humour I guess. Watch it if you have nothing else available.
Aaargh what a pity the role of Kim Ji Hoon... I thought he was going to be the good guy... oh well... anyway, not my thing... I believe that the director wanted to do a kinda of film noire or some such and thus all that awful camera twist and turns and the silences. So again, not my thing. How the bad guys don't have any guns is anybody's guess... I suppose that then the film would not have been the same. Anyway, just to see my man Kim doing calisthenics is worth watching lol (and then move to something a bit better!)
Will prob not watch this one again. Did it to the end 'cos it has to be truly awful for me to leave half way through but will not be one of my favs. Drags on a bit, Jin Hee is a bit of a spoiled brat that jumps into conclusions and always thinks she's right. Mum character is a bit rude and obsessive but kinda understandable being that she's a really young mum. Also, same as the others, didn't see the point on the murder mystery but once it's there why don't really solve it? I mean we did not get the why, or see the other guy being freed? Another unresolved issue is the issue of why the Captain is ostracized? why is he always resigning but never gets accepted? They explain a bit of what happened in the past but if true, how come that lady knows that he's innocent but apparently nobody else knows? And if she knows, the higher ups know too... so how come they treat him so badly? I really hate the korean way to treat seniors and how if you have money and connections, it's just expected that you will be free of any hassle or responsibility. Hate how is so common for normal people to be dismissed, demoted, whatever just because they don't have that money or connections. Often wonder why any normal korean person really bothers to go to work or try anything in life. Even if you manage to be rich, you will always be look down so again, what's the point..???. The police seniors here are angry 'cos he's not liking their boots in gratitude?? Grow up people!! they should be putting this guy in a pedestal for having principles even when faced with false accusations. Anyway, watchable but not the best thing out there Now a bit of trivia in case you missed this... on the final chapter Jin Hee is looking at a worldmap showing animals and monuments.... the Eiffel Tower is planted in the middle of Spain! 😂😂
They knew this drama was extra risky because of all the other explosive themes besides the BL. They should have…
'xactly!! If you get the authorities after you for this production, the law is applied regardless of the length of the production, regardless of it's 1 ep or 20! So why don't release all at one time is what I don't understand.
Just watched and have to say I loved it! Sweet, cute, well acted, story well developed and completed nicely, the right amount of drama, no "dead fish" kisses... all of it makes it a very good and entertaining viewing. Even the little Seobin cameo was cute! Loved that I could watch it all in one seating and that there are no negative connotations about loving or being attracted to the same sex anywhere. All parties involved are open about their feelings and there none of those shenanigans like in the japanese (Minato comes to mind as the most recent one) and some thai productions par example, where any indication of gayness is meet with horror and panic all at the same time. Any sign of affection like a kiss or holding hands is just a big no-no even in private areas, and to be honest, it stopped being funny like 5 years ago!! Another one to add to my favs of all time whenever I feel like a easy, comfy, uncomplicated watch.
I hate when you see something interesting and find out that has no end in sight! If you're expecting issues because your country laws but still decide to go ahead with a production, then fine, go for it... but don't just release a fraction of the total, just go all out and do it all in one go. If the law is going to get you, it will get you regardless of if 8 eps or 16!! Really annoying ... Vagabond is another case, diff situation but still, why release some eps if there was no security of a second season... why???
