Well, my face is wet, my eyes are swollen, and my heart is broken, but I can officially say that I have finished watching season 2. Now I need to go watch a feel-good drama to cleanse my battered and beaten, arrow-ridden heart ๐
Episode 21 has me ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐คง๐คง๐คง๐คง๐คง๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ My poor Xiang Liu ๐ญ ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
What is with the plot twist in 20?? No! No! No! That is NOT how it happened in the book. In the book, it really was Cang Xuan who conspired to kill Tu Shan Jing. They cannot give Cang Xuan a redemption arc. Just NO! I'm mad, darn it! ๐ก๐ก๐ก๐คฌ๐คฌ๐คฌ
I've only seen episode 1 so far. Will it have more (gay) romance in the next eps? So far the lack of any romance…
I have watched all the episodes so far, and while there is definite bl moments, they are more implied than actually shown. Definitely more than bromance, and still falls into the category of bl, but even with the kisses the camera fades out into the next scene when their lips are literally a milimeter away from touching. ๐คจ๐ฎโ๐จ It is still a really good series, though, and totally worth watching. The mains have excellent chemistry together that makes up for all the frustrating camera fades. Supposedly, there is an actual on-camera kiss coming soon, so fingers crossed ๐ค ๐ค
I wanted to watch this after all the episodes finished airing, but then I read that the main female character…
Xiao Yao is the farthest thing from selfish. If anything, she cares too much, which has lead to hundreds of years of suffering for her. The one who is truly selfish is Cang Xuan, one of the male leads.
Xiao Yao has suffered immeasurably throughout her many years of life, and now seeks only to live a peaceful life with the ones she holds near and dear to her. She seeks no wealth, no power, she has no greed. She just wants to be herself and love who she wants, marry who she wants, and live peacefully and happily with that person. If that is considered being selfish, only wanting to love and live peacefully after years of being abondoned, not having a face, being tortured, being betrayed, then, yes, I guess you could say that Xiao Yao is selfish.
