I'm thinking Hongjoo character doesn't really like him- "like" him if you know what I mean. She just wants to possess him since she can't have him, and that dynamic won't stay for a long time I think. She will have her own relationship issues, romantic partner I guess, since trailer for ep 3 showed her "backstory" scenes. She will be so much than -her whole life is based on chasing ML-kind of- a character, and she won't be that "one hearted" romantic sml kinda character either. Her "interest" is for the time being and will certainly move on to pursue other priorities. They didn't really promote her character as "loving yeon" at TVN.

I'm confused, did you hate her acting in penthouse or her character?

actually this is her "villain" role for only the 3rd time, and the first one was like 20 years ago give or take. She was mostly the "good female lead" in most of the dramas she's been in. Also this is the very first sf series she's ever been in. I think non-Koreans mostly know her only from penthouse hence this thinking.

I didn't watch s1 due to the fact I'm not really into FL's acting and plot line was not that appealing to me, but s2 is a whole different plot and you barely need understanding of what happens in S1. ML has a destined partner who is FL from S1 and that's pretty much it.

didn't watch s1, but started watching s2 because I like female lead of s2 a lot, and it was grt! acting and action were both on point. I didn't really have a hard time understanding anything even though I didn't watch s1.

Yes but didn't YXW not know all that? Also, if the tables were turned, I think YXW would never do that, not even to make them come back or whatever the intention is. (not saying that I don't understand where TTJ comes from, he had surroundings that made him that way) And seeing that he could do that I guess YXW just couldn't risk whole world. She still loved him nonetheless.

Agreed. I understand TTJ's situation and why his personality can't be all good given the surroundings he had, but she couldn't just risk it. After all it was the whole world and he has shown that he could be easily switched.

Yeah your comment made me think deeper! thanks. That TTJ is a person who can be pushed little to be MAD to the max level would have made YXW see how fragile his personality is and he can't overcome the devil god himself. That would've been bigger part of YXW's decision, not the anger itself, since YXW is very thoughtful person.

yes I think so too, maybe not entirely for him only, but I truly think it was the best decision given the circumstances. It is/should be only her own body and soul at risk of her love, not the whole world. I truly believe she gave all she can give given the situation. I mean however much she loves him, she can't risk whole world for it. Also, seeing XL's death, YXW would've thought how little push he need to get to the point of being MAD (possibly devil god mad) and that's probably what helped her not to abandon the mission. (I think if the positions were switched, YXW wouldn't have done what TTJ did like ever). Their relationship is indeed really complicated, hence bad ending for now, but I still think it was best option for YXW.

I'm glad you agree! She had such lil recognition for all she did. In the end she took the fall for him TWICE.. she's pretty responsible person

So true. Even if I love someone with my whole heart and soul, it can and should be ONLY my soul and body to be gambled with, not whole world, never. She sacrificed herself for love, not once but in two lifetimes. I think people are being too harsh on her. She speaks harshly yes but in the end it is always her who takes all the fall.

I get people getting mad at YXW but I can honestly relate to her. In the end she died for him, changing his place for hers. She took the fall instead. She said she hated him but her actions showed otherwise, it was greatest sacrifice she could ever make for another person. Also TTJ is still at fault for LXY's death. No wonder YXW thought he could not entirely change and got angry. TTJ didn't wipe out immortal sect yet sure, but in YXW's shoes, she experienced everything first-hand. She saw her family getting wiped out by TTJ's hand. It happened in HER timeline. And I think her "not wanting to meet him ever again" wish was not really because she hated him, but because she didn't want tragedy to repeat itself, and wanted it to end with her sacrifice. I feel bad for TTJ for sure, but I don't blame YXW at all. If I was her, I would've made same decision myself. Harsh words are intended imo. It is much better for TTJ to hate/forget her and cut ties with his past, not only for himself but also for the world. I think YXW wanted that.

Unpopular opinion but I don't really blame YXW for what she did. I can totally see why she did that.
