Hello! I am new to this feed. I only recently watched AoS 1 and totally loved it, because I love all fantasy romance, especially with baddass charachters.
Beware: this comment will be kinda negative, so i hope i won't trigger anyone. I know, we fans can be a bit overprotective about dramas we love😅
I was so looking forward to S2. Despite loving JSM, I liked the concept of Naksu going back to her own body. So, I really really wanted to like this season but I can't. Whereas S1 had so many engaging plots, mysteries and revelations, this one feels like it has no plot at all, except when would everyone find out JBY is Naksu. This drama supposed to be fantasy action romance, and as of now there is no action (except 1st episode), there is no fantasy, there is only romance that has no real development and goes in circles. Also, no comedy. Chemistry between leads are great but it lost it's uniqueness. Bickerness and chaotic behaviour was what made this couple so engaging to watch. And the main problem I have with this drama is heroine. Not actress but character. Tbh, I normally okay with pretty and vulnerable FML. But not in this case. You can't create a smart baddass FML and then make her typical pretty damsel in distress. That's reverse character development. I mean, i understand she lost memory and circumstances are different now, but she should have at least some character traits of Naksu. Now she feels completely different. Also, many other characters had reverse development. Crown Prince just passively allows whatever Jin Mu doing; and he knows what happened with Mudeok, wasn't she like important to him? Park Jin basically does nothing, Park Dangu and Arin just split for artificial reasons. And what's wrong with Master Lee? Why would he hide the truth? Argh... Why you dissapoint me so, drama😭😭😭😭 Also, i miss all the worldbuilding we had in S1😭
I still gonna try to be optimistic, hope second half of drama will be better or maybe so amazing I regret saying anything bad about the drama.
yeahh i feel the same. It kinda fell short for me after FL's sacrifice. I was expecting some really heart-wrenching…
I can see what you mean. However, he was actually aware that it wasnt real, he told it himself later. I dont think he was really happy, cause he actually knew she died. Also, we should keep in mind that drama had only 36 eps limit, so they couldnt fit few episodes of screentime of DFCQ mouring like TMOPB.
But I understand your point, I am all for good angst, but i dont like when it's too dragged, so I was glad we got back to action fast.

That's interesting point of view. I remember in TMOPB I was so heartbroken for YH, but I never felt that DFQC sufferings were less. I cried on both dramas. I guess, just different perceptions. I actually loved the different take on grief shown on LBDAF. I think, just being depressed and crying isnt only way, how a person deals with a loss. Some people cry, some become get angry and some (like in case of DFCQ) dont accept reality. And whichever way people cope, it isnt more or less suffering. Also, i thought DFCQ creating an illusion made so much sense in terms of his character. He was used to being all poweful and get whatever he wants. So, when faced with smth, he has no control over and cannot fix, he did the only thing he could at that point, ie creating a dream. He gave it up only when he found out there is another way to get XLH back. Also, those not real "happy" moments in illusionary world always seems to me so heartbreaking. Whenever I see them, i always wanna cry🥺
That was a long post🤣 I guess, I still used to overanalyze every scene in the drama like when it was ongoing.
It's a good thing I don't have a problem with the female lead's personality or voice, so I can watch without hesitation.Personally,…
Ow, #2. I am suddenly remembering all FLs or even MLs, who are told to be super smart and strong in the begining, figuring everything out in mattet of minutes. And then towards the end, they are super dumb, always falling for traps set ip by villain/ SLs/ court officials😅
curently at epissode 19 and im getting bored..... will it get better or should i drop it? my main problem is the…
Hmm, I always say if you didn't like the drama by ep 12, maybe, it isnt your cup of tea. FL is still for me one of the best in xianxia, and I especially like that it's slow progression of her character. There is whole ark later, when they learn to build healthy relationships, if toxic relationships is your concern. As I know, there is still plenty of people who doesnt like FL till the end.
From ep 20 the drama is more romance focused. Leads gonna start realizing their feelings, funny moments with all the jealousy. I guess, main plot is gonna slowly kick in too, you see main villain of the show and backgrounds of characters. I liked the plot from the very beginning though, not sure what kind of plot you looking for.
How are we still not 9😭😭😭 To all new watchers: If you enjoyed watching this amazing drama, please, rate each episode, so LBFAD has the rating it deserves🤗
Tried to get into this drama but could not get past first 10 episodes. It is the same tale of almost every Cdrama…
I think plot is very generic for xianxia but execution is good, its logical and coherent. Its interesting that you mention that you want better charachters, and I think characters is what actually stand out the most in the drama. They are well build with well constructed growth arks. And this is first xianxia drama i have seen where FML protects her rights and independence not through power but dialogue. Touch of feminist agenda is what I loved the most, its very uncommon in xianxia dramas, which always have more traditional views.
Its sad you didnt like the drama, because characters here really shine. But if you dont like smth, you dont like, nothing can be done.
Same. Even in LBFAD when it was wedding in mortal realm, i kept thinking how long hair fits him better. He looks more magnificent and almighty, whereas with tied up hair, he look younger, I think.
OMG new drama with Dylan, the trailer (sadly without subs) is out!!!!!!!!he looks positively DELICIOUSLY EVOL…
Olala, i thought that gonna cute romance drama but trailer looks like a serious one. Dylan plays again grey character, it seems, fits him so well. I dont really like Yukee Chen, but gonna keep an open mind.
Hmm... just finished the whole drama now and was not really impressed. I enjoyed the first 10 episodes a lot.…
As someone who watched many xianxias (and most of popular ones), if you think LBFAD is draggy and illogical, it's better not watch this genre. Believe me this drama is the best in terms of it's pacing and using (not) annoying plots. Side characters here take only 10% of time, maybe, and integrated in main plot well, when in other xianxia they can take half of 60 eps screentime. Also FML here actually have a maturity ark, she is more grounded character, who does a lot for ML. You would be frustrated with FML in other dramas, if you feel XLH is annoying.
I am so busy these days, dont even have to lurk here but I am still not over this drama😅
So while I was rewatching I thought of all the confessions. We got three DFQC confessions in total. THREE! And all of them are epic in their own way. Obviously, we all love confessions in front of Moon Tribe and bridge one (always make me 🥺) but I wanna talk about earlier more subtle one. When they were in mortal realm and DFQC with XLH were waiting CH and XWQ to meet, i think DFQC basically confessed. XLH was just too wrapped up in her personal dilemma to understand it. I really like DFQC speech, all phrases are so beatiful ("the most beautiful dress on you is wedding dress", "i am happy because it feels like i am married"😍)
Why can't people take criticism? Nobody is going to like this drama the way you do all the time, not everybody…
I think problem here that your comments sounds discriminating against women with higher voices. I hope, you dont mean it that way. You could tell people you dont like this kind of voices but you cant tell people that they have to change, train themselves to fit in more acceptable (in your opinion) voices that they actually dont have control over from get go. Its like saying "I dont like tall people, i think they need to work on looking shorter". Taller people can bend all the time to look shorter (similarly like higher pitch voices people can try sounding lower pitched) but that's obviously uncomfortable. And thats not even taking into account that i think its generally accepted that you shouldnt tell people how to look or sound. I remember reading that Britney Spears was made to sound certain way since she started singing, so that now she cant sing in her real voice, it broke her voice. So it isnt healthy too.
I know we fans can be sometimes overly protective, but I always try to understand some criticism or try to discuss it, give your point of view. Or I am even ok, when person says I dont like this drama without reasons. That can happen, thats normal. But I cant tolerate critisim towards physical apperance or other attributes of actors, thats just bullying.
Oww, epilogue is cute. I wish they put it in the last episode from the begining. It feels so much like endings of some dramas, when you see video clip of major moments. It concludes well our couple story, tells whats they up to, and that they are happily married🥰
But I think they build too much hype for epilogues, after so much anticipation, you feel a bit cheated that epilogue doesnt have anything substantial. Everyone already had a grand wedding in their imagination🤣

There are some dramas, that gonna have shared universe with CangLanJue.
I think in first epilogue, it's said they live in differen realms from time to time. So, it can be any of arbiter halls.
