A few episodes ago, I was confused about where the plot was going with ML's father and FL's mom. But, the last…
Yeah, it put things into perspective. Now, we could tell it is a one-sided love. I thought it is a situation of a love that never came to be but it seems the chairman never once considered her as a romantic partner. Its interesting that the chairman has a slight affection for his now ex-wife. I don't think he is the type to believe in things such as love. He looks more in love with money than anyone else. So if it is a case of love, even he himself is not aware of it.
You can't make someone look young when their age doesn't accept unless make-up is involved. Even if you dress up young than your age, they're certain give aways. Your face would tell if the clothing is significantly younger for your age or not. And it would make you look out of place. But the FL in this case, everything clicks so well. Her dressing and demeanor shows you she is someone who hasn't aged that much. In short, she looks naturally young. Its not forced or anything. And that is why she looks great in any clothes she chooses to wear (For younger or older people).
Well, I don't know anything about other people's choice of clothing and it really doesn't matter to me as long you are not naked. Right now, I am young. I should get to dress as much as I want but who knows when I'm older. Just like there are clothes for different places and occasions, I also believe there are clothes for certain ages and times. I don't mean no offence, but I wouldn't want to look like someone who doesn't accept that times have changed. I am now a father, now it means I have to dress like someone's father. I am now a mother, I should dress like someone's mother. I should show respect to myself and them. I was raised in a conservative society much like Asia, where we're taught respect is important. Not just to yourself but also to the next person. I wouldn't go as far as dictate that this and that is for someone in this age or not. That is left at your own free will. All that said, I like the FL. She dresses so well and she looks so young. She is in her fifties and she looks very hot. If she has a husband, he must be very lucky to have someone looking so hot for her age. She is an exception though, she doesn't look her age at all. She can dress however she wants. She gets a pass.
The husband is given the nagging role that normally is given to wives in Kdrama. I don't know, it felt weird seeing the role reverse. I am used to the wife not appreciating or seeing the progress made by the husband and always nitpicking. Also, I am used to the husband who always seems to be having a more urgent matter to take care of when his wife seemingly needs a more serious talk. Also, it usually the wife who initiates the divorce. In most dramas and maybe even in real life, the husband is the one who makes decisions with the intent that it will fix EVERYTHING on their own. And that always doesn't sit well with the wife because they weren't CONSULTED. Its interesting when you watch this irony. When I saw how nagging the husband was, it actually felt it was NAGGING. It felt like you could tear off the husband's head, LOL. He looked like an ungrateful brat who didn't see his wife's effort. In this drama, they decided to do everything upside down. Even having the wife be the breadwinner and the husband who seemingly has a grudge on his wife. Also, like the normal wife trait, the husband seems to blame the wife for something she did in the past. And every opportunity he gets, especially when they are arguing, the husband doesn't fail to use it against her. Just rub that misery in and make sure your partner gets sleepless night. I am assuming the wife is trying to get the 'sock' factory to help her son so she ease her guilt. But the husband is there to remind her how her efforts are worth nothing. And that whatever she does will never make up for that one SUPER BAD thing she did. I think the society has conditioned us to see a wife's nagging as perfectly normal and to be expected. And you should always do everything to make sure that your wife doesn't nag. But when I saw the husband do the presumed role that the society has given to the wives, it felt so wrong, LOL.
He can hear partially. Didn't you see he has hearing aids? There is different levels of deafness. You can be deaf…
Yeah, its like people are romanticizing it. I didn't expect people to nitpick that. Its perfectly normal for some people with imperfect hearing not to use/know sign language. Its usually the last resort for anyone and that is in the worst case scenario. Also, the boy can speak, where will he use the sign language he learnt on? He just needs to understand what you are saying to him since he can already speak. Losing your hearing doesn't automatically mean you can't speak.
No, but sadly that's an unfortunate problem in asian families. They are so hellbent on making their disabled kids…
He can speak already. You can't make something appear normal what can't be normal. He doesn't use sign language because he doesn't need to. Sign language is useful especially when you are mute. He has hearing aids which can help him interpret speech but not to an extent a normal person can. That is already good enough. Unless, everyone in the world can use sign language, then there is no need for him to learn it. Didn't you see him communicate with his parents quite well when they were in her office. So sign language can't enhance their communication any further that. It is already better than using the sign language. Lastly, it makes him feel less disconnected with the world.
The son became hearing impaired at a much younger age and no one in that family learned sign language? Am I the…
He can hear partially. Didn't you see he has hearing aids? There is different levels of deafness. You can be deaf on one side, which is partially deaf, or completely deaf. However, in this case, the boy can still interpret sound and speech. Its not exactly a normal hearing because he may struggle in a noisy environment. That is why you see his mother maintaining a eye contact because it is easier for him to interpret speech that way. I believe that is cochlear implant. So he is not completely deaf and doesn't exactly need sign language since he can speak. He can get his point across. How exactly would sign language help?
Hope there's no weird unrequited romance plot between fl and ml.
Its a genuine concern but that won't happen. Mainly because the ML has mom issues. So the FL will be like the mom he never had. It has a tag of Life, so generally, it will be healing type of show. Recovering from traumas and becoming the best version of yourself.
It looks promising, I'm waiting for it to be subtitled in my language so I can watch it. But I hope there's no…

but i kinda like the part where the books didn't sell well, it's realistic.
Why? Did you feel like that point hit close to home? Are you a writer yourself? For some of us with no such aspirations, it really didn't matter that much. Personally, it was just a narrative device they adopted to tell a story. And I feel they didn't do that well. Even as much they stuck to being realistic, the script should have been good in the first place.
Our ml actor i wish was more capable character so far on episode 15 snd his character is made such wussy 😭…
Loyal to a fault. Yes, that was the word I was looking for. He definitely is. Unfortunately to some individuals, being too soft-hearted and loyal to a fault makes you a wussy.
Yes, the budget for these dramas suck. I know people complain about product placement but without those these…
Not forgetting its a well scripted drama. I haven't felt any episode like its dragging. The plot and the acting is top notch. It should be well budgeted considering the quality the show has. KBS2 is a big broadcasting station so money shouldn't be that big of a deal. I suppose its because maybe it does not have that big of a revenue. Product placements are there but I guess it doesn't have a lot of brand sponsorship.

No, he is not a wussy. On ep. 24 even his step-father says, he is too soft hearted for this world. You will gradually come to accept his character and see him in a new light. Just keep watching and tell me your judgement on ep 25. He is quite smart more than many people let on and he doesn't like to see his loved ones hurt or suffering. That is his weakness. Also, once he cherishes something, he doesn't let go easily. He fights for it till the end. He tries to understand people more instead of getting angry. He always finds reason why someone did something and doesn't shift blame. He sympathizes with his loved ones even when they do something contrary to his expectation.
Some one commented he let her having ice cream first only to be tasted later 🤣🤣🤣🤣All are going crazy…
I am glad I am not the only one who thought that. I was like isn't he tasting everything she ate for the past hour. A kinda kiss that look likes he was drinking her up.
