We are all a child to someone else. I used to think like you at that age. That perception slightly changes. For example, when you are a bit older, you may get someone from 2010 flirting with you. Mathematically, 3 years from now they won't be children. But in your eyes, you just think they are too young to involve them romantically.

People saying the show is getting boring needs to chill, LMAO. Its stressful and unpredictable, but some of us are enjoying it. And if its of any help, LOVE is just messy. And you're unfortunately getting it in form of a show. I know you came here just to escape reality and you're unfortunately thrown back to it. Thats frustrating. But it isn't the shows fault. Thats just how it is. You can cope with some feel good Kdramas. Dating shows not so much.

Superior in the sense of that they have more final couples? Well, I just like the Korean Version more because it creates tension and something to look for after each episode. To be honest with you, I never feel that tension with the Chinese version. Their chemistry for me feels like the sibling type. But for the Korean, even if they don't make it on the outside world, the tension and excitement you get when you are getting to know someone, I feel it through the screen.
Now, about there being no lasting couple, I honestly don't mind. Its a reality show. Don't you get to know people and date them and it never lasts for either of you? I mean, if you have similar experience in your life then you won't judge. You just know the show doesn't always have a fairy tale ending. Sometimes reality hits hard. See it this way, the show promises you to meet someone who shakes up your world. But it doesn't promise you the chances of it working out. It boils down to your personalities and the effort both of you guys make into making it work out.
So, in other words, you really can't blame it on the show format or version for the relationships to work out. They helped you meet someone who by the way you choose based on your own free will. Whether it works out or not, it all depends on how much effort you both into it.
That means that the Chinese put more effort into making their relationships work. Since I have watched them, they seem to take a lot of time deciding and once they're fully bought, they put a lot of effort into understanding that person and making the relationship last longer. Koreans are more instinctive. My guess is that they stick it out as long as they is that butterfly in the stomach. Which may not last long if you don't put an effort to understand them deeper.
So for me its a culture issue more than the show issue. Korean version is top for me. Its a pity basing on whether its successful on the personalities of its participants. The show gives you butterflies and that falling in love experience. Making that relationship work is all on you, not the show anymore.

I hate to say it, she's the hopeless romantic type. Unfortunately, that draws the worst in you especially if the feelings are not reciprocated. I haven't watched the episode yet. But I will take the easy way out and just blame it on Wooyeol. He needs to stop sending mixed signals or being too flirtatious especially when he hasn't settled for either of them. Yugyung is my favorite. But y'all about to see the worst of her because she falls too deep and too easily. She'll learn though. Some of us were in her shoes at one point in our lives.

Nah, I find that even more boring. They're rarely direct and when they have to, they talk in riddles that I guess might resonate more with its locals than international fans. If the Korean version disappoints, I unfortunately have no where to go.

Not to add that the panelists talk a lot. Its as if I am taking the time to listen to them than watch the actual people date. And they have loads of Ads too. Yeah, I prefer the Korean version.

I do get where you are coming from. Its just that nothing is set on stone yet. They have barely stayed a week there. He might be instinctively attracted to Gyuri but its not enough time to say, yeah I want this person and that. At this point, you're just exploring the different connections you are getting. He hasn't confessed to one and then gone behind their back and confessed to another.
My point is that its too soon to even know what you want. It can change the next day or in a moment. The girls that are drawn to him, are simply suffering because of their own feelings. For example, if I like my crush and they don't notice me, I can't blame them. If I make my feelings known to them explicitly and they become insincere to lead me on, then we can be having this conversation.
So no one has confessed to him yet for him to mindful of them yet. It would actually be rude to assume someone likes you if they haven't told you openly. Especially this early. It would make you look like you're too full of yourself. Y'all exploring.
So if it goes 2 weeks in and he still hasn't made up his mind, I will join you in calling him out.

Minju said she doesn't like pretty boys. I think she likes being the pretty one in a relationship. So Wooyeol doesn't fit her type. And I don't think he even thinks of her that way. They're not exactly sibling coded or even friendship. They're just there.

I definitely would hope not. Its tragic to have 3 women chasing for an entire show when only one can become the GF. But the least likely person to get out of that square is Gyuri. She's currently the favorite. I believe if its anyone, the new female catfish would explore others. As for Gyuri and Yu Gyung will go all the way. He literally made them cry one way or another in these first episodes. I would be surprised if any of two withdraw their interest.

They're not always right but one thing to look up for next episode is that its rumored that the female catfish will go on a date with Wooyeol on her first date.

Its actually interesting most of the K-dating shows follow the same pattern. I only know a couple from love catcher S2. Transit love is basically the exes getting back together. I don't know any new couple born from transit love that are still together. Yeah, it sucks. Maybe that explains I find a lot of joy watching I AM SOLO. I don't think many international fans watch it but I find it so realistic because we get ordinary people and many of the couples born from the show stick together a lot longer.

Like please! please! A late plot twist would really make my day. Scratch that. My week. I don't even know how to keep watching when my ships sink this early into the show. We're definitely going to have it rough watching the show.

Yes, you're really right on that. Its like doing something over and over again without getting results. We're in the fifth season and I can't name a standout couple that are still together from this show. So yeah. Watching something without end result is kinda disappointing. I get them.
