We all know it's fiction, but fictional stories are based in reality. Your argument that anything can happen because it's fiction is ridiculous.
These stories are love stories, only in BL will they have the love story start with the gay guy drunk raping his straight friend.
If the ML was dragging kids into bushes and molesting them, would that be OK because it's only fiction?
If he murdered the other ML's mother, but then at the end they ended up in a relationship, would that be OK because it's just fiction?
People watch love drama's because the fiction, is what they wish for in reality, maybe that is the same reason why you watch disgusting filth.

I don't think there is any genre, other than BL, that make the villains the heroes and then gives them a happy ending.

It does seem that the most toxic BL is always written by woman, but it also seems to be watched by mostly women as well.
What does the age of the novel have to do with my comment, do you think that I didn't mind glorified violence and rape 10 years ago, but now I am much more liberal and prudish?
I don't mind violence, rape or murder in drama's, I just wouldn't turn it into a love story with a happy ending for the violent terrible people.

It isn't shocking that you like it, Thailand and Taiwan have been making drama's with the same formula for years and people keep watching them.
You like it because it makes no sense and all the character are disgusting filth? Well, that says a lot about you!

I deleted the link just after writing the comment, if it had been 8 or 9 episodes I might have finished it, but 24 episodes is ridiculous.

I am watching episode 6 and the only decent characters in the drama are the parents, all the main characters are nasty, vile people who all belong in a cesspit.
We have the normal main characters for an Asian BL, the rough nasty bullying criminal who uses force, rape and violence to get what he wants and the weak pathetic straight boy who lies and manipulates to get what he wants.
China is using the safe BL formula of toxic filth, unlikeable characters and a straight boy who by the end will realize that he really does want something up his butt

I decided to drop it during episode 7, he is finally out of drag, but he is a fool. He decided to forgive and just forget the fact that his sister is a devious liar, he did everything to help her when she was in trouble, but it was all just a set up she had organized.
If he had been angry and upset I could accept it, but they have decided to just ignore it and gloss over what she did to him and go back to playing happy families.

It's episode 5 and he is still in drag, I am starting to get bored now.
The sister is devious and a liar, but the brother doesn't seem to mind, do people really not mind being manipulated and lied to?

I should say that I have a love hate relationship with Chinese drama's, I start a lot, but only finish a few.
I wouldn't normally watch a drama with 36 episodes because they are always too long and I never finish them, but after seeing some clips on Youtube I decided to give it a go.
Season one was great, the only times I got a little bored was when he was with Waner ( she is a pain and gets worse in season 2), but overall I finished 36 episodes and was very impressed.
Season two is good, but it seemed longer and took me longer to finish.
My only real complaint is that each season didn't have a conclusion, I think that each new season should have it's own story that finishes, but the bigger picture continues into the next season.
I probably will watch season 3, but I still find it a con, it really is just one season with 108 episodes.
If you liked season one, then season 2 is worth a watch!

I think you don't want to get my point, which is why you cherry picked from my previous comment.
I think it is rather obvious that the original season will continue and evolve over other seasons, this is what happens when you create characters and continue their story, but normally each season will have it's main storyline which will conclude at the end of the season.
In many drama's you could miss a season and it wouldn't matter, what you are suggesting is creating one drama and just breaking it up into 3 seasons, it is obvious that is not what I meant.

Normally with drama's, each season will have it's own storyline which will come to a conclusion at the end of the season.

I watched episode 17 and it really made me want to give up on this drama, I hope that they can correct it and not go the same way as most Chinese drama's

I have watched 8 episodes so far and I must admit, it's been excellent.
It reminds me of the old spaghetti westerns the way they keep focusing on the eyes, but then again, there were a lot of old Asian movies that did the same thing.
The funniest part about the drama is that when something goes wrong, they always know who set them up, every episode is a game of tit for tat

I am now watching episode 11 and I am finding this drama hard work.
The ML's family have been a thorn in my side from the beginning, their behavior is mostly abusive towards him, but the drama always made it into some kind of a joke. Now I am on episode 11 and every character loves the ML, but I find him smug and arrogant, with each new episode he becomes more and more insufferable.

I hope so because the more of episode three I watched the more silly and annoying it got.
Luckily it did a full 180 near the end and suddenly became a completely different drama where the ML went from being a weak and pathetic moron to an action hero.
