You should give WIFTY a try for sure. I found the school and the whole friendship thing fun to watch. It is light hearted but fun to watch specially their school arc. The later episodes with their university time is so and so. It is like any other cheesy modern cdramas. It was still enjoyable for me:)

Ya but little things like this make it over the top and does not make it enjoyable to watch. they should have taken care of it even if its is difficult to shoot. Else It does not feel organic. I do not want to keep bringing another drama to compare but I cannot help but do. If you see in WIFTY it was more organic and natural that way. I do not know how to explain briefly but it does. At the same time I want to commend FL's acting is way more organic here than in WIFTY so it is not like I am blindly liking one and hating another. Jinmai is a natural. Little things she does is very age appropriate and she does not force herself to be super cute. I even like shopkeeper and his daughter's arc here is so organic. Somehow I do not see that with JQX, his family situations and some of those initial school bitching and gossiping scenes.

I agree about the community being very tight knit and also to some extent nosy may be. But usually atleast in my neighbourhood we would hear/listen if there was a loud shouting. We cannot help it anyways. It is loud 😄 But we never stood in front of their door peeking. That is not normal atleast in my part of the world. Only if it comes to obvious physical violence then someone will run to interfere. But we have seen here that every little thing of Jiang family is a public spectacle.
Gosshhh, I thought his mother needed some timely help and that she did not get right support system. But she needed help much before that. She did not learn her lesson even after losing her first son. I do not have sympathy if she is hell bent on doing the same mistake she did years ago. Go Ahead mother is better in comparison now.

She definitely needed timely intervention and right support. She herself said she does not have any friends anymore. So I agree that she might not have had a right support system. But having said that it does not justify her behaviour anyway. Having goals for your second son of the one she had for first son is still fine. But being so obsessed that he has to wear the same colors, like the same things as her first son, live every moment reminding him of his brother. It is way too much for a kid.

Yep. I think episode 7-8 was the big dip. It is coming back on track now. ML's absence was and still is a big miss in the crucial few episodes but I guess we can live with it if the story has engaging good slice of life
