I get where you’re coming from, but I’m just hoping that they will do this drama justice for holding it hostage in their dungeon for 3 years. A lot of people who were probably looking forward to it / were waiting probably gave up and moved on. So a good promotion would be nice to attract new audience and hype the drama up for old audience
For those who can't seem to stop complaining about Victor Ma, it's disheartening for those of us who have patiently awaited the filming of this series long before the "Hidden Love" drama came out. There have already been numerous discussions about who would be the best fit to play Sang Yan, and I can assure you that Victor Ma was never on anyone's radar. Why? Simply because he doesn't seem to possess the qualities required for the role of Sang Yan in "First Frost."
The Sang Yan character in "First Frost" is described as incredibly good-looking, sexy, tall, and exuding an air of cold mystery. He is mischievous and arrogant, but beneath that facade, he is also kind, sweet, and playful. While he may often appear nonchalant and bored, he is actually attentive and caring. Besides physical appearance, the actor portraying Sang Yan needs to have the experience to bring the character from the novel to life. Unfortunately, a relatively new actor like Victor Ma may not possess that level of experience just yet. To be fair, he played the Sang Yan character in "Hidden Love" quite well, but it has been widely acknowledged that the portrayal in that drama does not accurately represent who Sang Yan truly is as a character.
Additionally, it's important to note that the current cast lineup is still just speculation and rumors. Until the final casting decisions are made, nobody knows for sure who will play each role. If you choose not to watch the series solely because Victor Ma is not involved, then it's probably for the best that you move on.
On another note, Zhang Yuxi has shown significant improvement in her acting skills, and I personally believe that her appearance matches that of Yi Fan. If she does end up being cast, I think it would be fair to give her a chance to prove herself in the role.
Im a bit annoyed that youku is planning to release hidden love which only got their distribution license less than 2-3 months ago whereas SWKMM got theirs 2-3 years ago…

yeah , what makes me upset is the fact that they keep on teasing us with trailers or photos every couple of months. Every single time I am about to give up on waiting and move on, they would release a new trailer to give me hope so that I continue to wait and then the cycle repeats @__@ if they don't plan on even releasing it, they should just sell it to another platform and stop releasing trailers/poster images
