Since the viewers are mostly female, to cater to their taste a cheating husband is always shown as an absolute trash with no redeeming backstory, no emotional background and no complexity. He is just shown as a trash. And his life gets destroyed by the end of the drama. But whenever a wife cheats suddenly she is shown as a victim of neglect , abuse . She is given redeeming qualities, emotional backstory for her actions and finally forgiven. Rather than holding her responsible for her actions like the husband she is shown as a victim of circumstances and other things. Even the husband is blamed for the wife's cheating. Like why didn't he loved her more , cared for her more ? But none of these are there when the husband cheats.
