So many people are hating Yi Chen's brother, but there are always two sides to every story.
Put yourself in his shoes. If someone hurt your family, caused your mother to end up in the hospital, pushed you down the stairs and left you crippled, how would you feel? He spent years in rehabilitation just to get back to normal. Then he suddenly lost contact with his older brother, and years later he found out that Lu Feng was the one who kidnapped and imprisoned him, and that his brother almost lost his life.

Yes, the younger brother is a hypocrite in some ways. He is gay himself, yet he hid the text messages and interfered with his brother's relationship. He is also in a happy relationship with his own partner. I know many people will say, "If he can be happy, why can't he let his brother be happy too?"

But how many times did Lu Feng hurt his brother? From the younger brother's perspective, Lu Feng was never someone he could trust. Everything he did came from wanting to protect his brother, even if he went about it the wrong way.

At the end of the day, he still let his brother go and accepted his relationship with Lu Feng. I'm not defending all of his actions, but I can understand why he acted the way he did.

I honestly don't know why so many people keep hating on the brother. He is a flawed character, but that's what makes him interesting. Without him, this series wouldn't be nearly as good as it is. Just enjoy the show and appreciate the different perspectives.

Tomorrow is the final episode. I still remember watching episodes 1 and 2 when they first aired. This has honestly been the best BL of 2026 for me. Every single episode has been so good and addictive, and I really don't want it to end.

What she did in episode 7 was wrong, but in episode 8 she apologized. She said she misses her brother so much, so maybe her grief and anger got the better of her. She admitted that she lost her temper, and she also apologized at the hospital in episode 8.

LinXia, what she did was wrong. She should not have exposed the doctor for being gay in front of everyone. Her brother's death was an accident.

The principal was also wrong. You cannot fire someone for being gay. I'm so glad I live in a Western country where same sex relationships are legal. We promote LGBT rights here in Australia, and it is illegal to discriminate against someone because of their sexual orientation.

China is such a homophobic country.

My review is based on Episode 1, which is why I marked it as 1 out of 1 episode watched. Who are you to decide that people aren’t allowed to review a show after watching an episode? Reviews are meant to reflect a viewer’s experience at the time they write them. That’s like saying someone can’t review a restaurant until they’ve tried every item on the menu, or that they can’t review a book until they’ve finished every book in the series. People review shows based on what they’ve seen so far, and as more episodes are released, their opinions can change. That’s exactly why MDL allows users to edit and update their reviews.

If I end up disappointed later, I’ll update my review accordingly. MDL allows users to post reviews before a series is finished so people can read them and decide whether they want to watch. If the show goes downhill, I’ll edit my review and lower my score, just like I’ve done with many other series. There have been plenty of times when I gave a show 10/10 while it was airing, only to lower it to 6/10 after it finished.

If you don’t like that policy, take it up with MDL. If you don’t like how MDL works, then choose another review website that suits you better. There’s no point commenting about it here, as it won’t change anything, and I’ll continue posting reviews before a show finishes, just as MDL allows.

The noodle scene was literally about 30 seconds long. Was it really so unbearable that it warranted making a whole post about it?

So you're saying that as long as the characters are eating or drinking while having a conversation, you're fine with it?

Because that's basically what happened in Episode 6. Gaysorn was drinking the chocolate milk in the living room while talking with Ray and Mekin. There was no preparation scene, just a character consuming a product during an ongoing scene.

So by your logic, you're okay with the chocolate milk product placement but not the noodles?

I understand where you’re coming from, but if there were no product placements in this series, where would the funding come from? Like I said before, I’d rather have some product placements and get 8 episodes than have no product placements and no series at all.

Your initial post was complaining about the product placement that’s it unbearable . If there’s too much of it, you complain, and now that it’s less than a minute, you’re still complaining. If you don’t like product placement in series, then this one and GMMTV shows in general probably aren’t for you.

There are literally only two product placement scenes, the noodles and the chocolate milk, and the whole thing is less than a minute combined. It just feels like watching the characters eat and drink. Product placement doesn't really bother me when it's that brief.

Plus, productions need sponsors to help fund shows. I'd rather sit through a few seconds of product placement than not have the show made at all.

That's what rich people do, they spend money. 😂 You're hating on the episode because he spent money on his lover?
Money can't buy love, but Krit works hard as a police officer and earns his own money. There's nothing wrong with spending it on the person you love. The gifts and surprises weren't about showing off wealth, they were his way of expressing how much Wayu means to him. People have different love languages, and for Krit, giving gifts is clearly one of them.
As long as it's done with genuine love and not to control or impress someone, I don't see anything wrong with wanting to spoil the person you care about.
