Yet another great double episodes. Episode 4 and 5 absolutely shattered me.

No matter how unbearable XuYuan’s life became, Zhan Wang kept showing up like sunrise after endless rain.

For everyone’s information, you don’t need to watch Season 1 and 2 before watching Season 3. All three seasons have different plots, different actors, and are not related at all.

Having said that, I think Season 3 is the best, followed by Season 1, then Season 2.

The beach kissing scene was so romantic and beautifully shot. Peak and Pearl once again nailed it. Hopefully they get another series together again.

So in the novel, Qin Lang was sexual involved with the older brother Yi Chen and then later with the younger brother too? That's like doing it with your brother in law? That feels really messed up.

Yi Chen didn’t really date Qin Lang. They were more like close friends pretending to date, and they didn’t even kiss.

But I do agree that Lu Feng has shown his love very strongly. He literally confessed his love for Yi Chen even in front of his dying father on death row. He was also willing to sacrifice his career and fortune just to be with the person he loves.

I haven’t read the novel, so I don’t know what will happen next, but I have a feeling Yi Chen’s mother might force him to marry a woman or threaten to hurt herself if he refuses. That’s such a common trope in these kinds of stories. Yi Chen already lost his father, so I can see him feeling trapped because he wouldn’t want to lose his mother too.

Surely I’m not the only one thinking this. The trailer looked so happy with the two couples going to the sauna and holding hands in public on the street. I seriously thought those scenes would happen in Episode 12 as the happy ending. But no, it all happened in Episode 6 😭 I was so shocked and surprised.
The next 6 episodes are going to be wild, toxic, brutal, and probably no more lovely dovey moments. And honestly… I am so here for it

I get where you’re coming from, but in Episode 5 Yi Chen literally said: “I do not want expensive cars. I do not want a luxury house. I only want more time with you. Even if you are broke and have nothing, I will support you.”

So I don’t think it’s fair to say only Lu Feng is sacrificing. Lu Feng can give up money because he’s rich, but Yi Chen sacrificed in his own way too. For the past 4 years he never moved on, never dated anyone else, stayed sad, and even kept the ring until now. Time and loyalty are sacrifices too, and sometimes they’re worth more than money.

Also, the reason he doesn’t want to go public is because of his family situation. His parents are homophobic, his father passed away, and now his mother is alone and constantly
pushing him to get a girlfriend and have kids. He doesn’t want to hurt her. China is still very conservative about LGBTQ relationships, and coming out publicly is not easy.

I’m from Australia where same-sex rights exist, and even here some people are still scared to come out publicly. So Yi Chen being afraid doesn’t mean he loves Lu Feng any less.

I don’t think he’s cringe at all. To me, he comes across as cute and innocent, and I actually think he’s a really good actor. His emotional scenes felt natural to me, so I don’t see anything wrong with his acting at all.

I agreed, sometimes you don’t realise how much a person means to you until they’re gone. He’s so childish. He knows his brother is with his lover, yet he’s always trying to third-wheel them. Honestly, you’re right, Qin Lang need to dump him so he can taste his own medicine.

I never disliked the younger brother before. I always thought he truly loved his older brother and wanted to protect him, even if he went about it the wrong way.
But after episode 6, I really don’t like him anymore. First, he hid that text message from his older brother for years because he thought their relationship was “not normal,” yet he is gay himself, which makes him seem hypocritical.
Second, he completely misunderstood his boyfriend over another woman when the boyfriend did nothing wrong. He only greeted her politely and was forced by his mother to go on that date anyway. Instead of talking things through properly, he immediately brought up breaking up.
And honestly, if my boyfriend cooked all those homemade dishes for me with so much love and effort, I would be grateful. But instead, he complains that the food tastes bad and wants to break up over it. The younger brother’s character has become so annoying now that I can’t defend him anymore.

I get that some people prefer lighter genres, and that’s completely fine. But my point was never just about the sadness or the terminal illness. I’m talking about the acting, plot, storytelling, and emotional depth. Even without the brain cancer storyline, Lost to You would still be a genuinely strong BL because the characters feel real and the writing is actually meaningful.

A lot of Chinese BLs like this are underrated compared to some popular Thai BLs that get hype despite weak plots or mediocre acting. Not every series needs to be fluffy to be good. Some stories leave a lasting impact because they’re written with depth and emotion, and that’s exactly why I think Lost to You deserves more recognition.

I honestly don’t understand how some Thai BLs get so much attention when the plot is weak, the acting feels cringe, and the story goes nowhere. Meanwhile, Lost to You is so underrated even though it is genuinely one of the best series I’ve watched recently.

This series is not just another BL. The storytelling, emotional depth, and character development are on another level. Episode 3 completely broke me and had me crying so much. The way the emotions slowly build and make you attached to the characters feels so real and natural.

Every scene feels meaningful, and the pain, love, and struggles of the characters stay with you even after the episode ends. It is rare to find a BL where the plot itself is this strong while also delivering such emotional impact. Lost to You deserves so much more recognition because this is the kind of series that reminds you how powerful storytelling can be

Episode 5 is my favorite so far.

I feel terrible for saying it, but after both of their homophobic fathers passed away, it is like the world finally stopped standing between them. Now they can live together openly, and every moment between them feels like watching a married couple who survived a storm just to find peace in each other’s arms.

The way they speak to one another is unbearably sweet.
“I do not want expensive cars.”
“I do not want a luxury house.”
“I only want more time with you.”

And when one says, “Even if you are broke and have nothing, I will support you,” it feels less like dialogue and more like a vow whispered between soulmates. They look so happy together that it almost hurts to watch, because happiness in stories like this always feels fragile, like glass glowing in sunlight before it shatters.

There are still seven episodes left, and that is what terrifies me. Right now their love feels soft, safe, and endless, but somewhere ahead waits the moment that will change Lu Feng into someone colder, someone toxic, someone capable of hurting the person he loves most. I cannot stop thinking about how a love this beautiful could slowly rot from the inside.

And maybe that is why I cannot look away. The sweeter they are now, the more heartbreaking the fall will be.
