A Delicious Blend of Time Travel and Royal Romance

Wow, I absolutely love time-travel dramas, and Bon Appétit, Your Majesty did not disappoint one bit. The series mixes palace-era storytelling with the modern twist of cooking, and the result is fresh, funny, and absolutely addictive.

Lee Chae Min completely stole the spotlight for me. I already liked him from Hierarchy, but here he truly shines. Tall, handsome, and commanding, he looks every bit the perfect king. His presence on screen is powerful yet warm, making his character both regal and relatable.

On the other hand, this was my very first time seeing Lim Yoon A in a drama, and I was pleasantly surprised. She’s so naturally funny and brings such a lively energy to the series. Her expressions and timing had me laughing out loud more than once, and she balances the drama’s historical setting with just the right amount of lightheartedness.

What really sets this series apart is its unique mix of genres. The cooking element blends seamlessly into the palace backdrop, creating moments that are both heartwarming and mouthwatering. The time-travel concept feels refreshing instead of cliché, keeping the story engaging and full of surprises.

Beyond the characters and concept, the production value is top-notch. The cinematography is gorgeous, with sweeping shots of the palace and beautifully framed cooking scenes. The soundtrack elevates every moment, and the pacing of the story keeps you hooked from the first episode.

Overall, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty is a perfect combination of humor, romance, and fantasy. Every detail—from the acting to the music, feels spot on. I genuinely love this show and cannot wait to see how the rest of the episodes unfold.

Bold, Sexy, and Surprisingly Intimate

Peach Lover earns a strong out of 7/10 for me, mainly because of how bold and confident it is right from the start. I honestly did not expect that level of sexual energy in the first episode, but it works. The series feels erotic, romantic, and unapologetically sensual without feeling awkward or forced.

Poom completely surprised me here. I already loved him in The Sign and My Sweetheart Jom, but this role shows a much braver side of him. He really lets loose and commits fully, which makes his performance stand out. Ki is new to me, but for a first impression, he holds his own very well. Together, their chemistry feels natural, intense, and convincing, especially in the NC scenes.

The plot itself does not have the strongest start, but that is easy to overlook when the acting, intimacy, and emotional tension are this engaging. The connection between the leads carries the episode, and it makes you curious to see how their relationship will evolve beyond the physical side.

Overall, Peach Lover is bold, sexy, and emotionally promising but a weak story line.

I Love William and Est, but Chemistry Alone Is Not Enough

I know fan shipping is not really a big thing in Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese and Chinese BL, but it has a massive audience in Thai BL. Personally, I do not mind fan shipping as long as it works. What I do not agree with is giving a series a high rating just because our favourite couple is back together.

For example, Gemini and Fourth were great in My School President, Moonlight Chicken and Ticket to Heaven. All three had completely different stories and I loved seeing them together in those roles. But for me, My Love Mix Up was a completely different experience because I thought the plot was extremely weak.

My point is simple. Just because your favourite couple is in a new series does not automatically make the series good. If the plot is bad, then it is bad. Do not give it a 10 just because you love the pairing.

Now back to You Maniac.

The first two episodes is only around 40 minutes, yet there are already so many 10 star reviews calling it a masterpiece. Yes, William and Est are back. They look absolutely gorgeous together, and the chemistry is definitely there. I love them from ThamePo and gave that series a 10/10, so I was genuinely excited to see them together again.

But honestly, after Episode 1 and 2, I was disappointed.

Where is the plot?
There was literally not much happening in this first two episodes. The setup has potential, with Dean trying to win over the cold and hard to read Moth, but I did not feel like we were given enough story to become invested yet.

Instead, I felt like GMMTV was doing the copy and paste formula again. Take a popular pairing, give them great chemistry, make them look incredible together and let the fan shipping do the rest.

And this is where I have a problem with all the 10 star ratings already.

I am not saying You Maniac is bad. I am saying it is far too early to call it a masterpiece based on one 40 minute episode. You can love William and Est and still be honest about the quality of the story. I love them too, but I am going to judge the series itself, not just the pairing.

Maybe the story will become much better. I hope it does because I really like the cast and I want William and Est to have another great series together. This review is based only on Episode 1 and 2, so my rating can definitely change once I watch more.

For now, though, the chemistry is there, the cast is great and the leads look amazing, but the plot is too weak for me to give this anything higher.

A Mature and Addictive Love Triangle that Stands Out from GMMTV this Year

So many GMMTV BL series are airing right now, but Burnout Syndrome truly feels different. This is not the usual university BL. It is a more mature story built around a captivating love triangle between Off, Gun and Dew. I already love OffGun from Not Me and the addition of Dew brings a fresh dynamic that fits perfectly into the plot.

I absolutely love height differences in this BL! Gun being 168 cm, the shortest artist in GMMTV, paired with Drew at 190 cm, the tallest artist, is already giving me butterflies. This love triangle with Off is going to be so much fun to watch! I’m so happy it’s airing on Wednesday nights because my Fridays and Saturdays are already packed with BLs.

The few first episode delivered a strong start. The plot is engaging, all three characters have presence and the dark bar atmosphere with its sensual music pulled me in instantly. Burnout Syndrome is shaping up to be one of the standout GMMTV BLs of the year and I cannot wait for the next episode.

Finally, a Series That Lets Us Fans Experience the Story From Our Perspective

I like this series more than I expected. Finally, a series that lets us fans see things from OUR perspective! 😂 Being a fan is one thing, but imagine actually getting the chance to work alongside your favourite celebrity?! I’m already loving this concept!

The story is off to a really interesting start. I like how it puts Wan into a completely unfamiliar world where he suddenly finds himself surrounded by actors he used to admire as a fan. There is already so much potential for funny situations, misunderstandings, romance and of course, plenty of chaos. I especially love the enemies to lovers setup between Wan and Third. Imagine thinking you hate someone, only to slowly realise they might actually be the person you fall for. I’m definitely here for that!

I really missed James after Bed Friend, so I’m glad to see him back. But honestly, what really got me hooked was Auau as Third. He is SO hot and attractive, and his aura is absolutely stunning. He has that cold and confident presence that makes Third immediately stand out. Save as Wan is completely different and so much fun to watch. He is funny, adorable and brings such a lovable energy to the character. Their contrast already works really well together.

The supporting cast also caught my attention, Wan’s friend and his sister. They add a fun younger energy to the story, and I’m looking forward to seeing how their characters develop as the series goes on.

The acting was really good for the first episode. Everyone felt natural in their roles, and the chemistry between the characters is already noticeable. I particularly enjoyed the interactions between Wan and Third because you can already feel that there is something interesting developing between them, even though they are still at the stage of constantly getting on each other’s nerves.

I also enjoyed the music and overall sound of the episode. It fits the light and playful atmosphere of the series without taking away from the scenes, and it helps give the drama that fun romantic feel.

Domundi never disappoints, and Episode 1 was such a fun start. We have an interesting plot, hot actors, good acting, cute characters and one of my favourite tropes, enemies to lovers. I already have a feeling this one is going to nail it for me.

Imagine working alongside your celebrity crush Nine, only to end up falling for the person you hated at the beginning instead. What a plot! 😂

I’m already hooked after two episodes and cannot wait for the next episode!

A Supernatural Masterpiece That Had Me Laughing, Crying, and Cheering From Start to Finish

Wow. I just finished all 16 episodes of Phantom Lawyer, and without a doubt, this is one of the best K dramas I have ever watched. From the very first episode to the last, it delivered an incredibly refreshing and unique story that kept me completely invested.

What I loved most was how brilliantly the supernatural elements were blended with mystery, law, comedy, and emotional storytelling. The ghost cases were not only fascinating but also deeply touching. Every one of the seven ghost stories carried so much heart and emotion that I found myself crying more times than I expected. This drama knows exactly how to balance humor, suspense, heartbreak, and healing.

The cast was absolutely phenomenal. Yeon Seok was outstanding as I Rang. His performance was on another level, especially during the possession scenes. Watching him completely transform into different personalities, whether it was a child, a dancer, or a skilled fighter, was incredible. His versatility and talent were on full display throughout the entire series.

Han Na Hyeon was also a fantastic female lead, and I loved the partnership between her and I Rang. Their chemistry, trust, and growth made their relationship one of the strongest aspects of the drama. The supporting cast deserves just as much praise. From I Rang's mother and sister to his adorable niece, every family member added warmth and charm to the story.

Phantom Lawyer has everything I look for in a drama: mystery, comedy, law, supernatural elements, heartfelt stories, emotional depth, ghostly encounters, spirit possession, and even a touch of romance. It is heartwarming, entertaining, and unforgettable all at the same time.

This is a rare drama that made me laugh out loud, cry my eyes out, and stay emotionally invested in every single case. A perfect 10/10 from me. I will definitely be rewatching this masterpiece in the future.

Fated Hearts: A Perfect 10/10 Masterpiece of Enemies to Lovers and Heartbreaking Betrayals

Wow, what can I say, this is truly one of the best Chinese dramas I have ever watched. Twenty five hours long and I finished it in just five days because it was so addictive I literally had to call in sick to keep watching. That is how intensely this story pulls you in.

This show ticks every single box. The production, story, acting, visuals and OST all come together to create something unforgettable. It is not just a romance, it is a beautifully layered enemies to lovers journey filled with betrayal, redemption and emotional depth that left me speechless.

Visuals
Visually stunning from start to finish. The palace, the Prince's residence, the village, the breathtaking forest scenery, the mountains, even the boat sequences look incredible. Every frame feels crafted with care and it completely immerses you in this world.

Fighting Scenes
The fighting scenes are some of the best I have ever seen. Intense, perfectly choreographed and addictive to watch. The palace confrontation, the boat fight, the mountain battles, the war scenes and the iconic moment at the gate were all executed on a level many dramas can only dream of.

Acting and Characters
What makes this drama so special is the plot twists, betrayals and the morally complex characters. The flashbacks give depth to every villain and every hero, showing why they became who they are. It is clever, emotional and incredibly satisfying.

Chen Zhe Yuan as The First Prince is perfection. Tall, handsome and magnetic. His expressions, his voice, his emotional scenes and especially his crying were so captivating it was impossible to look away. He delivered one of the best performances I have seen and instantly became one of my favourite actors.

Li Qin as Fu Yi Xiao is an amazing female lead. Smart, brave and strong. I love that she is hard to get at first. The lost memory twist was brilliant and the way her love shifts from the Prince of Zhennan to the First Prince of Susha after waking up adds so much emotional tension and complexity.

Xia Meng as the Princess of Susha is such a refreshing addition. She brings a unique charm and the bond between the three siblings is one of the most heartwarming aspects of the show.

Qin Tian Yu as the Emperor of Jinxiu is weird, cruel and unforgettable. His twisted love for the Princess of Susha is chaotic yet strangely compelling. Without this character, the show would not be the masterpiece it is.

Zuo Ye as Murong Yao is outstanding. He starts off funny but watching him transform into someone entirely different in his quest for revenge was fascinating.

Chen He Yi as Xia Jing Shi, the Prince of Zhennan, delivered heartbreaking and powerful acting. After seeing his suffering and the betrayal he experienced, it becomes impossible to blame him for what he does.

Overall
This is the best Chinese drama I have ever watched. The enemies to lovers story, the emotional betrayals, the breathtaking martial arts scenes and the exceptional acting all come together perfectly. The attention to detail is insane and with hundreds of cast members working together to build this world, it truly feels like a masterpiece.

If you have not watched Fated Hearts yet, you are missing out on something extraordinary.

A Haunting Melody of Love, Lies, and Memory

I have always loved crime scenes, murder, and investigation stories, so pairing that genre with BL already had me excited. What made it even better is seeing one of my favourite couples, ForceBook, back on screen. Force as Tankoon, a criminologist, and Book as Botphleng, a crime journalist, is honestly a perfect pairing. Their chemistry is strong, natural, and convincing, and their acting feels more mature and grounded than ever.

We have seen ForceBook in both office and university BLs before, so getting them in a fresh mystery crime genre feels like such a breath of fresh air. The first two episodes completely hooked me. I was genuinely shocked by how many kiss scenes we got in the very first episode. The idea of kissing someone when you do not remember anything about them, yet your heart and instincts know you have loved and kissed them before, was portrayed so beautifully. It felt intimate, unsettling, and emotional all at once.

I will be honest, like many viewers, I was confused during the first episode. But it was a good kind of confusion. The title has the word Secrets for a reason. The storytelling is deliberately fragmented, and that sense of disorientation puts you right into Botphleng’s state of mind.

For anyone who felt lost after episode one, do not give up or judge it too quickly. The confusion is intentional. If everything were explained from the start, the mystery and tension that make this genre so addictive would completely disappear. With eight more episodes to go, the series is clearly designed to keep you questioning, uneasy, and constantly guessing, and that is exactly what makes it so compelling.

There is no second couple in this series, which actually works in its favour, as it keeps the focus tight and intense. I am also glad they added Boun to the cast. He is a strong actor and adds another layer of intrigue to the story.

So far, the plot feels unique, the acting is strong across the board, and the atmosphere is dark, suspenseful, and emotionally charged.

Personally, I think this series has been executed really well and perfectly captures the tone of a true psychological and suspense BL. I am genuinely looking forward to the remaining episodes, because if it continues at this level, Melody of Secrets could easily become one of GMMTV’s standout BLs.

A Chaotic, Hilarious, Heartwarming Ride

One of my favourite couples, PondPhuwin from Never Let Me Go, and two of my other favourite pairs, WilliamEst from ThamePo and PerthSanta from Perfect 10 Liners, all appear in this series. Those three shows are 10/10 for me, so having all three couples together instantly made this drama exciting for me.

This series is funny, cringe and completely unrealistic, but that is exactly what makes it so entertaining. Peach and Thee’s dynamic is pure chaos from the start. Thee is rich and out of touch with reality in the funniest way, while Peach is grounded and trying to keep him in check. Their personalities crash into each other and somehow fit perfectly.
I adore Pond as Thee, he is so handsome and his comedic timing is amazing. Phuwin matches him so well, and their chemistry makes every scene feel alive.

The only downside for me is the random annoying cringe sound effects. Aside from that, this has become one of my favourite GMMTV series of the year.

Enemies at First Touch, Lovers Before First Sight: Sometimes the Heart Sees What the Eyes Cannot

Ten years after Addicted, the same director is back with a new Chinese BL, Till I See You, and that alone was enough to get my attention.

The concept immediately reminded me of the Thai BL Last Twilight starring JimmySea, with a caretaker looking after a visually impaired lead and a relationship that starts with constant clashing before slowly developing into something more. I am always a fan of enemies to lovers, especially when two characters have completely opposite personalities, and that is exactly what we get here.

This is my third time watching Wang Ruichen after The Summer You Kissed Me and Awakening the Steppe, and once again, he is absolutely stunning. His muscular physique is definitely one of his biggest visual strengths. However, I have to say I am not a fan of the blonde orange hair in this series. I definitely preferred his darker hair in his previous dramas.

What makes me laugh is that his character almost feels like he has followed him across all three series. This time he plays Song Yi, a fun, confident and wealthy young man who has run away from home and needs somewhere to stay. Just like his previous characters, he is naturally flirty, confident and always seems ready to make the first move. Wang Ruichen really knows how to play this type of character, and honestly, I am not complaining.

Opposite him is Sun Xiaoxiao as Xu Feiyu, who is visually impaired and recovering from eye surgery. Feiyu could not be more different from Song Yi. He is cold, distant and extremely guarded. He hates having strangers around him and especially dislikes being touched, so you can already imagine what happens when someone as playful and persistent as Song Yi suddenly enters his life.

The story itself is quite simple. Song Yi needs somewhere to stay and ends up becoming Feiyu's temporary caretaker. Their personalities immediately clash, resulting in nonstop bickering and frustration between them. But underneath all that fighting, Feiyu slowly begins lowering the walls he has built around himself and developing feelings for the person he initially could not stand.

I think Song Yi is going to be the light that slowly breaks through Feiyu's darkness.

Feiyu clearly carries emotional scars beyond his visual impairment, and there seems to be much more behind his cold personality than we currently know. Song Yi is exactly the type of person who could slowly warm his heart. He is patient, caring and funny. He cooks for him, looks after him and even takes care of an injured wombat. How can your heart not slowly melt for this man?

What makes the romance more interesting is that Feiyu cannot truly see Song Yi yet. Their connection begins through personality, touch, conversations and everyday moments rather than physical appearance. By the time Feiyu starts letting Song Yi into his heart, their relationship has already become something much deeper.

But this is clearly not going to remain a simple caretaker romance.

Song Yi originally travelled to Northern China because he wanted answers about his father's past, and there appears to be a hidden truth connecting everything together. Just as Feiyu is getting closer to regaining his sight, that secret threatens their relationship and leads to Song Yi suddenly disappearing from his life. The story will then take us five years into the future, where fate brings them together again and forces them to confront the love they never truly left behind.

So while the beginning gives us a fun enemies to lovers dynamic filled with bickering, flirting and caregiving, there is clearly heartbreak waiting for us later.

So far, I really like the chemistry between the two lead. Their contrasting personalities work perfectly together. Song Yi brings warmth and chaos while Feiyu brings coldness and resistance, which makes every little moment where Feiyu lowers his guard feel more meaningful.

The acting is strong, the chemistry is already there, the plot is easy to follow and the OST is beautiful. Sometimes you do not need an overly complicated story when the characters and chemistry can carry the romance.

You can watch Till I See You on GagaOOLala, with one episode released each week until November 19.

My only complaint is that waiting an entire week for a 20 minute episode should be illegal. Give me at least two episodes a week!

If you enjoy enemies to lovers, nonstop bickering, opposite personalities, caretaker romance, emotional healing, great chemistry, strong acting and a story that looks like it is going to become much more painful later, definitely add Till I See You to your watchlist.

8.5/10 so far. A simple beginning with great chemistry, but I have a feeling this one is going to hurt later.

Bold, Intense and Completely Addictive as The Missing Piece Takes Red Flag BL to Another Level

When it comes to toxic relationships, red flags and completely messed up romance, no one does it quite like China. I genuinely thought Deep In was already one of the spiciest and boldest Chinese BLs I had watched, but after only two episodes, The Missing Piece may have just taken over. This series is crazy, intense and exactly the kind of chaotic romance I love.

The opening scene alone had my jaw on the floor. Shen Mo crawling towards Mingxuan to pleasure him immediately showed us what kind of relationship these two have. Their story is even crazier. After Shen Mo was injured and lost his memory, Mingxuan rescued him. Shen Mo mistakenly believed Mingxuan was his lover Zhou Yang, so they lived together as lovers for six months. Once Shen Mo recovered his memories and realised the truth, Mingxuan was already far too obsessed to let him go, so he created a three year lover contract just to keep Shen Mo by his side.

Now let me wrap my head around this mess. Shen Mo used to date Zhou Yang in high school and they were lovers. Zhou Yang has now done a complete 180 and is dating An’an, who happens to be Mingxuan’s sister. Meanwhile, Mingxuan is sleeping with Shen Mo, meaning he is with his sister’s boyfriend’s ex lover. Mingxuan knows their history and apparently has no problem with it. Then, just to make this already complicated relationship web even crazier, Zhou Yang seems to want Shen Mo back. What is going on?

And can we talk about that bathroom scene? When Mingxuan was pleasuring Shen Mo while fully knowing that Zhou Yang was there. That scene perfectly showed how possessive and controlling Mingxuan really is. It felt like he was deliberately telling Zhou Yang without words that Shen Mo belongs to him. Mingxuan is cold, ruthless, manipulative, dominating and basically a walking red flag. He controls Shen Mo at home and even at work because he is also his boss.

Yet underneath all those red flags, I genuinely believe Mingxuan loves Shen Mo. He openly holds his hand at the company without caring what his employees think. He cuddles him all night, then wants even more in the morning. When Shen Mo says he has to go to work, Mingxuan simply takes his phone and calls him in sick because he is literally the boss of the company. This man is so obsessed with his lover that I cannot imagine what would happen if Shen Mo ever disappeared. Mingxuan would completely lose his mind.

The sad part is that Shen Mo does not realise how crazy this man is about him. In his mind, he creates hundreds of scenarios believing Mingxuan does not truly love him and only sees him as a toy or contract lover. Meanwhile, Mingxuan has fallen so deeply for Shen Mo that his love has practically turned into obsession. One man is questioning whether he is loved while the other is losing his sanity trying to keep him.

Of course, I would never support this kind of relationship in real life, but this is fiction, and that is exactly why I can enjoy how completely unhinged it is. I am honestly getting bored of watching the same green flag romances, so give me psychological tension, jealousy, obsession, complicated ex lovers and characters making terrible decisions. The Missing Piece is refreshing because I genuinely have no idea what these people are going to do next.

This series already has everything I want from a BL. Great NC scenes, passionate kisses, explosive chemistry, a unique and unpredictable plot, massive red flags and enough drama to keep me hooked without being bored for a single second. What makes The Missing Piece even better is that it is not relying only on the spicy scenes. There is actually a fascinating story underneath all the obsession and chaos, with amnesia, a contract relationship, complicated ex lovers, jealousy, misunderstandings and characters whose relationships are becoming more tangled with every episode.

The production has also impressed me so far. The music fits the atmosphere beautifully, especially the gorgeous OST, which adds so much emotion to both the romantic and intense moments. The acting is another major highlight, and I have to give them credit for how bold and committed the performances are, especially for a Chinese BL. Rao Zi Hao is amazing as Shen Mo, bringing out his smaller, innocent and adorable side while still showing all the confusion and emotions underneath. Hou Ming Xuan is the complete opposite as Mingxuan, tall, cold, intimidating and dominating, with that powerful CEO presence both at work and in their relationship. Their differences make their chemistry even stronger because they complement each other perfectly on screen.

For me, it is an easy 10/10 so far. The plot, acting, music, chemistry, kisses, NC scenes and completely unhinged relationship dynamics are giving me exactly what I wanted. Two episodes down and thirteen more to go, and considering how much has already happened, I cannot imagine how crazy this story is going to become. I am completely hooked and cannot wait to see what comes next.

Strong Cast, Weak Plot After Episode Two

Great cast, and I genuinely like the actors, so I don’t want to be negative. However, after episode two, the story starts to feel weak. Three university students who are supposed to be studying are instead spending their time walking around campus putting up heart-shaped stickers with photos of their crushes, which doesn’t feel realistic at all. If you’re going to do a university BL, it should at least feel believable. University life should focus more on studying and personal growth, not posting pictures of your lover all over campus.

I’m also hoping the entire 12-episode plot won’t just be Duang chasing after Qinn, with Qinn playing hard to get the whole time and only accepting his love at the very end. I really like the cast, but after the second episode, the storyline just isn’t working for me so far.

Good-Looking Actors and a Great Cast, Let Down by a Weak Plot, 2026 worst shows !!!

I'm sorry, but this series makes no sense. As a police officer, you're paid by the public to protect citizens and uphold professional standards. You entered a bar in full uniform with your firearm, then started making out with your ex-lover while on duty. When your colleague walked in, you told him to leave and immediately went back to making out.

If this happened in real life, you would likely face serious consequences for your actions. Just wait until your shift is over and handle personal matters on your own time. Taxpayer money isn't paying officers to make out while they are supposed to be working.

Also, iQIYI has the full version, the YouTube upload is only 9 minutes long, while the iQIYI version is 26 minutes.

After watching Tide of Love, I honestly did not expect much from this series. A few kissing scenes cannot carry a story if there is no solid plot or meaningful development.

A Perfect Mix of Romance, Comedy, and Superpowers

Wow, I cannot believe I missed this drama when it first came out in 2017. After recommendations from my sister and niece, I finally finished this masterpiece in 2026, nine years later, and honestly, it became one of the best Korean dramas I have ever watched.

Strong Girl Bong Soon has everything I love in a K drama: romance, comedy, action, villains, and even superheroes. It was incredibly funny and made me laugh so much, but at the same time, it had emotional moments that made me cry a lot too. K dramas never disappoint when it comes to balancing emotions, and the romance in this drama was absolutely perfect.

The story follows Do Bong Soon, a small and adorable woman born with superhuman strength that has been passed down through the women in her family for generations. Even though the plot includes crime, kidnappings, and action scenes, the drama never loses its charm and fun atmosphere.

Park Bo Young as Bong Soon was amazing. She was cute, funny, lovable, and emotional at the same time. Every time she cried, I felt emotional too. She played the character perfectly and made Bong Soon unforgettable.

Park Hyung Sik as Min Hyuk completely stole the show for me. He is tall, handsome, adorable, and so charming. He was definitely the highlight of the drama. The chemistry between him and Bong Soon was incredible. Watching them go from enemies to lovers gave me so many butterflies. I cried at the balcony scene when the bomb was tied around her and MinHyeok refused to leave. He said he would stay by her side no matter what. Then she started crying and regained her powers.

Their romance was sweet, funny, emotional, and one of the best K drama couples I have ever seen. The ending was perfect too, especially seeing their wedding and their twin daughters.

Kim Ji Soo as Guk Du was also great in this drama. He played the cold but caring police officer perfectly. Even though he looked serious on the outside, he was such a cool and loyal character to have in the story.

I also loved Bong Soon’s family. Her parents were supportive and hilarious, and her medical brother added even more comedy to the drama. Even the villain did an excellent job and made the story more intense and exciting.

This drama truly has everything: action, comedy, romance, supernatural powers, amazing fighting scenes, a beautiful OST, and lovable characters. I laughed, cried, smiled, and enjoyed every single episode. Strong Girl Bong Soon is cute, emotional, exciting, and unforgettable. Easily one of the best K dramas I have ever watched.

10/10. Now it is finally time to watch the sequel, Strong Girl Nam Soon.

Inspired by true Thai events, Bas and Lhongchang ignite a forbidden revolutionary romance!

Just finished Episode 1 of When Light Fades on GagaOOLala, and I have mixed feelings about this one.

What I liked:
-The soft, gentle Thai OST and the ending credits were beautiful.

-I really love the 1970s setting. The attention to detail is impressive, from the historical houses and buildings to the old telephones, vintage cars, and costumes. It feels authentic and helps immerse you in the time period.

What could be improved:
-I'm still not sure where this series is heading. It opens with intense violence, explosions, and killings, setting a very serious tone. Soon after, it shifts into comedy in the jungle with the same over-the-top, cringe-worthy sound effects often found in Thai dramas. The tonal change felt jarring and didn't work for me.

The story follows Vin, a university student who is forced to escape into the jungle after a brutal political crackdown. There, he joins a guerrilla movement and crosses paths with the reserved and stoic Comrade Yue. Episode 1 does a good job of establishing the harsh survival setting and historical backdrop while only giving viewers a small glimpse of how their relationship may develop.

This is also the first time I haven't really felt the chemistry between the two male leads. I've seen Bas in KinnPorsche and 4Minutes, where he delivered emotionally intense and intimate performances. Here, as Comrade Yue, he's intentionally cold, silent, and emotionally closed off. Lhongchang plays Ravin as a university student who tries to lighten the mood with humor. Their first meeting, where Yue saves Vin from a deadly animal trap just in time before they fall to the ground and lock eyes, felt a little too cheesy for me, and I just wasn't feeling the chemistry yet.

Overall, I love the 1970s atmosphere, the jungle setting away from the modern world, and how everything feels raw and simple, from sleeping in straw houses to bathing in the lake. However, because this is a historical fiction drama that begins with gore, violence, and explosive action, the sudden comedic moments didn't make much sense to me.

So far, I'm giving When Light Fades an 6.5/10. My rating could definitely increase or decrease depending on how the remaining seven episodes develop.
