One of the Best Police/Crime BL

I vividly remember when this series first aired in November 2013; it quickly became one of the shows I eagerly anticipated every Sunday. It was one of the few shows I looked forward to each week. The cast was not only talented but also incredibly attractive, and I particularly appreciated the mix of police work and crime scene investigations—this was the perfect drama for me.

The cinematography, graphics, color, and CGI were all flawless. I loved how the characters Tharn and Phaya’s relationship developed, particularly their childhood connection. The gradual buildup of their chemistry leading to their love was truly remarkable. The intimate scenes were realistic and impactful, among the best I’ve seen in such dramas.

Overall, everything about the show was flawless—from the compelling story and excellent acting to the well-executed intimate scenes, the touch of comedy, and the satisfying ending. I’ve grown tired of the typical high school or university-themed BLs, so I was thrilled to see a series focusing on police and crime. The plot is gripping from start to finish, the acting is phenomenal, and the chemistry between the leads is unmatched. Every episode kept me hooked and every emotion hit deep. This is not just BL of the year, it is BL of the decade. Every 40-minute episode feels like just 5 minutes, leaving me craving more and counting the days until the next release.

China 🇨🇳 continues to dominate in cinematography, acting, storytelling, and chemistry. No one does historical costumes, horse riding, martial arts, or emotional intensity like them. Even The Untamed, despite heavy censorship, pulled in billions of views. Imagine the impact of a high-quality, uncensored Chinese BL with the same production scale. The talent is already there, just waiting for the freedom to shine. Hopefully, one day the BL ban will lift so we can see the full potential of these brilliant creators.

Revenged Love is written by Chai Ji Dan, the genius behind Addicted. I have waited almost a decade for something like this since Addicted was banned after episode 15. Watching Revenged Love feels like coming home, with heartfelt gestures, bike rides in the countryside, tender kisses, and fierce love that demands loyalty. The cornfield kiss was pure magic, soft yet intense, a silent promise of love. “Call me husband” was delivered with such deep, possessive emotion that it melted me instantly.

Episode 13 gave us so many iconic moments. Guo Cheng Yu caring for a tipsy Jiang Xiao Shuai was playful yet intimate, while Wu Suo Wei and Chi Cheng had me laughing in the shopping scene and breathless during the underwater kiss. That scene was a visual poem — slow, tender, and filled with longing. Lines like “I am a quick learner. Won’t take long before I become the perfect boyfriend” are the kind that stay with you long after the credits roll.

This drama does not just tell a story, it becomes part of your life. Every Monday and Tuesday, I wait like clockwork, heart pounding, ready to be swept away. When it ends, I know a part of me will go with it. If they ever release a photobook, DVD, or hold a fan meeting, I would buy everything and fly from Australia to China just to be there. That is how much this series has captured my heart.

The breakup scene was devastating — two souls tearing each other apart while still loving each other deeply. Wu Suo Wei’s sacrifice, selling his home, kneeling to his rival, and working endlessly to save Chi Cheng, is the purest form of love. His mother’s decision to hide her illness added another layer of heartbreak, leaving Chi Cheng caught between honesty and her final wish. I can only hope for a moment of reconciliation where she accepts their love before it is too late.

Episode 22 delivered playful chaos and emotional sweetness. The bathtub scene was sizzling, reminding us of the passionate bond between them. The sight of Chi Cheng, Wu Suo Wei, and the nephew together felt like a glimpse into the family they could be. If they cannot have children naturally, adoption or surrogacy would be the perfect way forward.

I’ve poured my heart into writing one for every episode, this is one example for expisode 23, obviously I cannot fit every episode's poem here.

A Decade-Old BL That Doesn’t Hold Up to Its Remake

After watching 4 out of 24 episodes of the 2025 remake Revenged Love (which I’m loving so far and is one of my favorites this year!), I decided to check out the original 2015 Falling in Love with a Rival to see how it compares. Let’s just say, it doesn't quite measure up.

The series is much shorter than Revenged Love (8 episodes at 20 minutes each + a 10-minute special), and while there are no snake scenes like in the remake (which I didn’t mind), it still doesn’t hold the same charm. The plot was messy and felt like scenes were just cut and pasted together, with no real flow. 🌀

The rooms and sets were outdated for a 2015 series—honestly, Addicted (2016) had better visuals. While I liked the chemistry between Chi Cheng and Wu Suo Wei, some of their movements were awkward and didn’t feel natural at all. Even their uncut kissing scenes were poorly shot. 😬

The second couple had only about 2 minutes of screen time, which was a huge disappointment since Revenged Love really focuses on them. 😞

Overall, while I did enjoy a few scenes, the remake is definitely the superior version. If you’re curious, I’d recommend checking out Revenged Love first!

Messy plot, but MaxNat chemistry saves the day

As a longtime MaxNat fan (Cutie Pie, Two Worlds, and currently Suntiny), I had high expectations—and in terms of chemistry, they didn’t disappoint 💯 These two have incredible screen presence together, and their romantic scenes (especially the kiss and NC ones) were intense, emotional, and beautifully shot 😍🔥

Visually, Naughty Babe is stunning. The cinematography, locations, and styling all give the series a polished, high-quality feel 🎥🌄 It’s a feast for the eyes in every way.

But... the plot is where things fall short 😕 The storyline is quite messy—between the business-arranged marriage, Switzerland escape, and amnesia twist, it just felt like too much without enough depth or consistency. I found myself enjoying the moments more than the actual story.

The frustrating part is that Max and Nat have the acting chops to deliver a great emotional drama, but the writing just didn’t live up to their potential. It had the ingredients to be something amazing, but ended up feeling like a collection of nice scenes rather than a strong, cohesive series.

Still, for fans of the couple or anyone looking for a visually beautiful, romance-heavy BL with steamy moments and great actors, it’s worth the watch. Just don’t expect a tightly written plot 🫠

I watched all 4 episodes (about 20 minutes each) in one go, and unfortunately, I was bored from start to finish 😴. The plot felt empty, and the leads had no chemistry at all — nothing pulled me in.

Visually, it didn’t help either — the kiss scene by the fire pit was so dark I could barely see anything 🔥🌑. Both kiss scenes lacked emotion and impact, which made things feel even flatter.

I’m glad I finished it, but this is one of those BLs I’ll never rewatch or even remember in a few weeks. Just not for me.

Binged I Became the Main Role of a BL Drama in one sitting before Season 2 drops — only 3 eps, under 3 hours, super easy to get through. The leads? Stunning 😍 with great chemistry 🔥 (that birthday cake moment was seriously cute 🍰💕).

But let’s be honest — the plot is very simple. It gave me similar vibes to The Spark in Your Eyes (2025 Chinese BL) — both are about actors falling for each other while filming a BL. Not saying one copied the other — just funny how the trope is back again 👀.

Still, I was kinda bored 😅. Nothing really grabbed me or made me feel butterflies. And the biggest letdown? That so-called kiss at the end. ONE. SECOND. I waited all 3 episodes for something swoony and we got crumbs 😤. Where’s the passion? Where’s the drama? Hoping Season 2 delivers a proper kiss and some actual heat! 🔥💥

It’s a light and visually pretty BL with a cute pairing, but if you’re looking for intensity, keep those expectations low.

This series is powerful, but it’s not an easy watch.

I’ve watched over 250+ BLs, but Happy to End is definitely one of the hardest to get through. 😔 This show is not for the faint-hearted. Be prepared for some heavy, triggering content. ⚠️ It includes child rape, abuse, alcoholism, prostitute parents, abandonment, suicide, and much more. I was deeply traumatized after finishing it. 💔

No child should ever have to go through what the characters in this show did. It’s honestly one of the worst childhoods you could imagine. 😢

That being said, I still rated it 8/10. Both of the lead actors did an amazing job, and their chemistry was undeniable. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 The performances really carried the show, and despite the dark themes, I found myself invested in their characters. 🎬

Final Thoughts:
This series is powerful, but it’s not an easy watch. Be warned before you in. ⚠️ The emotional toll is real, but the acting and depth of the story left a lasting impact.

This series pulls you right into an emotional rollercoaster between two timelines, two Krams, and one unforgettable love. The premise is wild—in one world, Phupha is gone and Kram mourns deeply. Suddenly, he’s thrown into a parallel universe where another Kram had once loved Thai, only to die at the hands of Thai's own father. 😭💔

When Thai sees “Kram” again on that road, the shock, confusion, and heartbreak in his eyes were everything. The tension, longing, and mystery had me on edge every episode. Thai and Kram's chemistry is 🔥 and the emotions are so raw and layered.

✨ I loved seeing Gun (from Unforgotten Night) finally take the spotlight as Phupha—so manly, handsome, and just giving daddy vibes all the way 😍. Mas and Nat are fantastic as Thai and Kram—great casting, emotional depth, and strong screen presence. Also, it was my first time watching Pak and Mon as the second couple and their chemistry is insane! 🫠💘

💋 All the NC/loving scenes were beautifully shot—so passionate yet intimate. And the forest and water scenes were stunning. I love how it’s set away from the busy city—very atmospheric and dreamlike.

🌀 The only reason I didn’t give it a 10/10 is because the two parallel worlds were a bit confusing at times. I might need to rewatch certain parts to fully understand the plot. But overall, I really enjoyed this BL. Deep, mysterious, and full of raw emotion.

Disappointing Follow-Up: Lovely Writer Special Episode Lacks the Heart of the Main Series

I loved the main series of Lovely Writer, but unfortunately, the 105-minute special episode didn’t quite live up to my expectations. 😕

After two years, I was hoping to see a deeper, stronger bond between Gene and Nubsib, but instead, it felt like their relationship hadn't progressed much at all. In fact, the plot seemed a bit off, and I found myself confused for most of the episode. There were too many extra characters added, and none of them really contributed anything meaningful to the story. I honestly just wanted the special to focus on Gene and Nubsib and their relationship without all the distractions. 😔

This is the first time I’ve ever felt disappointed by a special episode after a main series. I really think it would’ve been better if they just ended things with the main series, as the special didn’t add much to the story or their development.

That being said, I did love the moment when Gene gave Nubsib the bracelet from his dad—it was a beautiful gesture that showed just how committed he was. That moment alone was the highlight of the special for me. 💖

Overall, it’s an 8/10 for me. Not terrible, but definitely not as strong as the main series.

I honestly don’t even know what kept me watching Unforgotten Night—the plot isn’t revolutionary, the characters make questionable decisions, and some moments are borderline absurd. Yet, despite all that, I couldn’t stop. I ended up binge-watching all 12 episodes in just two sittings. There’s something about it that pulls you in, even when you know it’s a bit of a mess.

The show follows Kim, a 25-year-old office worker, who's been secretly in love with his senior, Day, for a long time. To get over him, he decides to have a one-night stand with a random stranger he meets at a bar. Enter Kamol, a 30-year-old mafia boss with some very special needs in the bedroom. He’s been hopping from one partner to the next, looking for someone who can truly satisfy him. And Kim? Well, he’s exactly what Kamol’s been searching for. Once Kamol lays eyes on him, he’s determined to make Kim his own, and thus begins their messy, intense journey.

What really kept me hooked was Kamol’s insane dedication to Kim. Kim plays hard to get, he’s stubborn and sassy as hell, but Kamol keeps coming back for more. Every episode, Kamol does whatever it takes to win Kim’s heart, and honestly? It was addicting to watch. Kamol’s persistence, despite the many walls Kim throws up, is what made me keep watching. It’s a slow burn, but when it finally heats up, it’s worth it.

As for Kim—he’s a total mood. His sharp tongue, sassy comebacks, and general "I’m not impressed by anything" attitude made him such a fun character. He’s tough to crack, and that’s exactly what makes his dynamic with Kamol so interesting. The way he stays one step ahead, constantly throwing out “already ready” responses, made me laugh more than I expected.

But it’s not just the leads that make this show enjoyable. The side characters brought so much to the table. Day and Itt’s height difference and their playful interactions were adorable, and Ruj, Krit, and Lop? They were the comic relief I didn’t know I needed. Honestly, their shower scene was one of my favorites—it was so hot and steamy, and the chemistry between the three of them was undeniable. I definitely wouldn’t mind seeing more of this threesome bodyguard trio! They added so much fun and heat to the show, and their moments together were always a highlight for me.

I also loved Baiboon’s pure innocence and cuteness. His moments with Kim and Kamol brought some much-needed lightness to the show. And then there’s Kom—his loyalty to Kamol and his care for Baiboon made him such a solid character. It’s nice to see loyalty like that in the mafia world, where trust is hard to come by.

Another part of the show I appreciated was the unwavering support Kim got from his friends, May and Jin. No matter how messy his life got, they were always there for him. Their care and love for him felt so real. And Kamol’s journey from being an orphan to finding a sense of family with Kim’s parents was beautiful. Kim’s parents were just so lovely and understanding. They accepted Kim and Kamol’s relationship with open arms, and seeing Kamol, who grew up as an orphan, finally able to call them his own was such a heartwarming moment. It added so much emotional depth to Kamol’s character arc, and I really felt for him in those moments.

There’s also Danil, whose obsession with Kamol is both creepy and fascinating. His fixation added a certain edge to the show, and it was fun to see how far he’d go to get Kamol’s attention.

Now, I totally agree with what a lot of others are saying about this show—it’s so bad, it becomes good. The plot is all over the place, the music often doesn’t match the scene, and honestly, some moments felt like they were just cut and pasted together without any real flow. The mafia boss and his four bodyguards literally kill everyone in their path with zero consequences, which is both ridiculous and strangely entertaining. Unforgotten Night is a hot mess—it's bad, funny, and silly all at the same time, which, somehow, makes it even more addictive. The flaws make it so much fun to watch because you just can’t look away. It’s so over-the-top, but that’s what keeps you coming back for more.

Sure, the show has its melodramatic moments, and the writing can get a little on the nose at times, but I couldn’t help getting wrapped up in the messy drama. Kamol and Kim’s relationship goes through so many twists and turns that you can’t help but root for them, even when it all feels a bit too much.

It’s not a perfect show, but I can’t help but love how it made me feel. The ending left me wanting more, and now, even days after finishing, I’m still thinking about it. Unforgotten Night isn’t flawless, but it’s definitely a wild, messy ride you won’t be able to stop watching once you’re in.

The atmosphere, the soft music, the emotions — everything about this special episode was so romantic and sweet. It truly felt like the happy ending they both deserved 🫶✨

Seeing Nuea so surprised and emotional, and Lom proudly standing by his side in traditional attire, just sealed the deal for me 💍😍 It was simple but so full of love. I'm so glad they gave us this extra chapter to end things on such a high note.

This Our Dining Table special was such a cute way to wrap things up! 💕 It was lovely seeing the main couple, little Tane, and his dad go on a trip to celebrate Tane’s birthday 🎉. The family vibes were warm and full of love, and of course, Tane continued to be the absolute star 🥺💛.

There was a bit of jealousy and miscommunication between the couple 😅, but I’m glad it was resolved sweetly by the end. Their quiet moments together really brought out the gentle tone this series is known for.

That said… the holiday house was so old and outdated 🏚️😂. Definitely not the scenic getaway I was hoping for, and the cinematography wasn’t as pretty or polished as the main series. But despite the visuals, the emotion and warmth still came through.
