Just binged 9 episodes in one day. Is the book much darker? I've heard its a lot different.

I really wish we got a scene of her telling him about her coworker sabotaging her work. I mean, at some point he was bound to ask her what happened after he got to know her and realized she wasn't one to sabotage a news segment.

Felt the need to rewatch. Its so sad that I can rewatch this....in one day.

The book is sooo much more traumatic.

A lot of changes were made from the book, for the drama. But Le was just the local gang leader who worked out of the pool hall and had a reputation so WQ sought him out when he was a child, hoping he would give him a job at the pool hall. He didn't really become part of the gang, until he dropped out of school to pay bills. And Lin the doctor ran the local clinic and was paid to look the other way. That's how WQ met them....and in the book SP and Lili weren't together, so I think its a bit confusing.

It really could have been 24 episodes, if they stuck to the plot of the actual novel. Most of the plot is still there, but there was about 6-7 episodes of added content. Still love this drama though.

LY does his own voice over....but yeah, there are several parts where the dubbing is off and I've even caught parts where someone is speaking but their lips are aren't moving.

I wonder if MXT ever learned the 'opera' was just a lure to get him out of the house so LYY could spend the evening alone with YG....imagine having spent the night outside in the freezing cold, waiting for a 'friend' to go to an opera...that never shows up. LOL
