Well yeah I get it I remember it was decent up to a point. Honestly I have a very difficult job which wrecks me emotionally daily so I dont like my entertainment to do the same. I simply could not understand a ML that chose a job over love I mean you get like 2-3 times to really fall in love in a lifetime and a job is just a job there's plenty to go around or if not you can make your own. I mean the ML didnt even chose a job but chose a minor career advancement which made him feel shitty. He could have just declined the New York position. Thats why I really cant tell you that it gave me those vibes since I really didn't like how 25 21 made me feel while I absolutely loved how this made me feel. Someone earlier did make a reference to 25 21 so thats all I can say.

Nothing wrong with the ratings since yours is like the fifth negative comment out of 2000 that didnt like it. The vast majority of people loved this and gave it a perfect score. Since you didnt like it its just not according to your taste and thats it. Plenty of crappy dramas people love over here that I personally hate. Theres nothing wrong with that.

Nah they are totally devoted/trust each other. Sure there are a couple of misunderstandings but they're ironed out quite quickly. The FL is quite good with words and people in general and handles any situations quite well before they get out of hand.

I wouldn't call Hidden Love a youth drama at all its more of a pure romance they are totally different. The directors post on weibo really made me realize how hard it was to put this one out there. I can see why Zhang Miaoyi cried when she saw Zai on the day of the premiere. Having it drag on for 3 years without even knowing if it will be finished must have been very frustrating. Imagine the director on top of that owing money to his friends for this. It must have been such a relief.
Heh remember that the ratings are still based on a relatively small sample size. WIFTY has 3.2k user ratings and Hidden Love 5k. I hope they can maintain it as more people watch. For comparison Alchemy of Souls is 31k and Reply 1988 has 40k reviewers.
There is only 2 dramas with a score of 9.2 Hidden Love and Move to Heaven. 9.1 is insanely good. This is the 10th highest rated drama on this website right after Reply 1988. Thats just dramas mind you excluding movies and reality shows.
