I have noticed this pattern in both K and C dramas, like why the child is held responsible. Writers, please explain this logic to me. I don't know - maybe this is an Asian logic 🤦🏻♀️ (P.S. I'm thinking if this pattern appears in Thai dramas because in Indian shows I’ve seen the same sh*t). To me, it suggests that parents are more irresponsible because the first thing is that when you’re driving, you should keep your eyes on the road.
It's old school kdrama, it's predictable and full of tropes, and it openly embraces them. And the chemistry is so on point. It's going to be on the list of comfort watches like Business Proposal.

So at the end, we have no idea if Song Xiaoyu or Nan Feng are real human beings or just characters who are actors that were in Dream of Qingning, a book present in the book called A Dream within a Dream. It is the case of an unreliable narrator in some form, but at least that unreliable narrator is not a killer (where this style is mostly used). Also, in the last few episodes, when Nan Heng asks Song Yimeng how she can be sure the world she is talking about is the real one, this ending gives a whole new meaning to that.
