supposedly that's where he said 'i love you' ugh (according to a leaked script). ugh imagine if that was actually the scene and they cut to flashbacks of him checking in on her the past 6 years despite his poor health :(((
i guess in a way... it's a good thing they cut a bunch of scenes... cuz i might end up camping on SAL content through 2027 if they hadn't
Btw they didn't elaborate on the "inside" joke or whatever they we re talking about at the end of ep 27…
the inside joke wasn't part of the book, but there are a lot of speculations that his visits abroad were actually secret visits to mumu in canada, to check up on her wellbeing. there's a photo of him posing at the library where mumu was talking to her senior. also some angles of mumu abroad were shot from a 3rd person POV, almost like someone's observing her. and when mumu was talking to the senior in the park, there were noticeable sounds of camera shutters (which can't be an accident). so ppl were theorizing that part of the reason zhaozhao didnt contact her is that he misunderstood and thought mumu was dating the senior. it also jives with the fact that jin zhao saw mumu lose her keychain at the airport, and secretly returned it to her
if this is all true, im disappointed they cut it out but can understand why since it feels a little stalker-ish lol
In Episode 20, right before Mu leaves for Canada, she meets Jin Zhao on a rooftop (right after he wakes up in…
he basically mustered up all his energy to show the best version of himself to mumu, so she can feel at ease when she leaves him to go take care of her mom. if mumu knew his real condition, he knew she would never leave him.
in a later episode, you can see him falling to the ground in pain, after mumu leaves. also doing so basically delayed his recovery (i think a doctor warned him, either in the novel or tv show, idr)
Currently EP18:This is my opinion so far on this C-drama (not a final review).Basically, the ML is very handsome.…
I personally like how she’s very mentally tough and empathetic while keeping her cute playfulness! It’s nice to see female roles that aren’t confined to a one-dimensional toughness
I know right! He also replied instantly at every post 🤣
Yeah I think so too! His suit was Versace at that wedding. And the watch he was wearing in the latest ins post is super expensive and rare (Patek Philippe Nautilus). His street style features stuff from Acne, Balenciaga, etc. I’m like 👀👀 emerging actors don’t got that kinda money
I followed him at 3k and check his Instagram too, it’s so fun! Same I think he’s going to get to 800 by the…
Ironically I was kinda meh about Esther but I turned into a huge fan of hers after this show cuz girly has nerves of STEEL for going through all this hate while maintaining such a bright personality on the variety show and in her livestreams, providing such a positive experience to her fans / show watchers (not to mention the hard work needed for the gazillion videos and photos she took personally)
I followed him at 3k and check his Instagram too, it’s so fun! Same I think he’s going to get to 800 by the…
aww that’s unfortunate. I feel like this drama could’ve really put modern cdramas on the international map if it were on Netflix! Since typically Kdramas had the lead in modern dramas and Cdramas were better in historical / fantasy
I followed him at 3k and check his Instagram too, it’s so fun! Same I think he’s going to get to 800 by the…
Do you know why Mobius (a recent IQIYI show) is on Netflix? I was also looking up IQIYI / Netflix overlap hoping for any chance SAL can get on there lol. Everyone worked so hard on this show and it’s sux a pity for it to go unrecognized

I feel like the industry seems super convoluted (like IQIYI being accused of suppressing Esther’s heat index so it can pay Esther less, or may fans buy more “gifts” to boost the heat index; actors buying bad press against their competitors; Douyin “suppressing” certain shows’ content if the platform doesn’t have an advertising agreeement with them; etc.). Idk which are true and which aren’t
But given how convoluted it seems, i wouldn’t be surprised if that’s contributing to drama quality suffering (since there are so many other factors at play)
no hi6, show dropped outta nowhere, etc.

A girl can dream 😴
But I feel like Netflix would’ve been great exposure to get the North American audience. Alas.

Then he blew past 300k, so I was expecting some tapering around 500k (around Wang Xing Yue from The Double).
Then he blew past that too, so I’m just waiting excitedly for the 1mm mark.
Our girl Esther’s IG grew a bit too, but not that much, since she already has so many followers haha
