the first half of this drama was so exciting, visually stunning, dark and mysterious and now this second half…
I actually thought the opposite haha ā the first half was exciting but the second half explores the characters and plot a lot more in depth (especially Jiang Muās), and it was so satisfying to see how they both evolved from six years ago.
Commenting not for the sake of arguing, but just offering a different POV in case there are any new watchers who are curious btw
Also shoutout to all the great supporting characters that helped provide such an immersive experience, especially San Lai, the dad, and the stepmother :)
I believe the separation was necessary for Jiang Mu to grow into her own person. In my opinion, Jin Zhao could…
I think itāll help also the relationship once they get tgt. JZ wonāt keep thinking āwhat if Iām not good enough for her, what if there are better guys out there for herā. She HAS tried dating, but none of them compared to JZ.
Eps 21-22 really showcased Estherās acting! What a beautiful yearner. The way she conducts herself also shows how much time has passed and how she has matured. Even her voice intonations changed.
Also the way they shot Nanjing was exactly how I imagined it from the books. What a great two episodes
IMO the show nailed the big picture concept pretty well so I can forgive its flaws in the details (namely the choppy a$$ editing)
Like the chemistry, staying true to the novelās charactersā essence + plot (some screenwriters make the plot much worse despite the source material being right there; some change a novelās HE to SE for no apparent reason), focus on the leads (some give uninteresting second leads way too much screen time and even add sometimes third leads)
So while sometimes dramaās details doesnāt make sense to me, at the end of the day, its entertainment value is a 10/10
Exactly!! Like he is always a little sweaty and idk why but I find it soo hott!!! And his gazee!! Its to die forr!!!(ā ļ½”ā ć»ā /ā /ā εā /ā /ā ć»ā ļ½”ā )
The funniest part is that both are natural LOL
Like that scar is his something he got irl and he was sweating BUCKETS in the bts. It all matches his character š¤£
Esther is seriously great at doing emotional scenes. And she's also good at serious roles based on MJTY. Bubbly…
I think a part of it can be attributed to her, but the directing / editing also feels choppy. Like the MLās thirst came outta nowhere and it died down way too quickly?
The only thing I don't like about this drama- the styleing!! I hated what the fl is wearing 95% of the time and…
She almost always has a hairclip and for the love of god it bothers me so much. Her voice is fine. Her acting is fine. Everything is fine. But those darn hair clipsā¦
Aghhhh I love how FL cutely ādemandsā ML to do things for her, and doesnāt let anyone else do them
I think it helps him feel valuable and needed by her (just like when they were young), despite the fact that heās no longer the school genius / didnāt go to college. She still loves him and wants him ^_^
Hehe jk

But he actually says āmy taste⦠do you remember it?ā

Major props to you if you can say youāre single while the person you pined after for six years is likely married with a kid haha

I really hope Esther and He Yu can collab again

They were looking for a candle and Esther said its fine. But He Yu insisted and told her every wish counts
Muh hearttttt
